Sleeping 6 in 3 separate rooms (2 beds + further study with double sofa bed) and featuring premium Egyptian cotton bed linen and luxury towels as used in 5* hotels, this beautifully presented and recently refurbished apartment is set in arguably the best location in the resort directly on the front line looking out at fabulous and uninterrupted sea views from a 500sq ft landscaped garden with outdoor seating/dining area. Specialist lighting adds to the evening ambience. A separate covered terrace overlooks the national park mountains and sea.

The apartment is furnished to a very high standard with an L shaped leather sofa for relaxed and comfortable seating & is equipped with all mod cons such as free WIFI throughout the apartment, Music speakers, Playstation 3, HD TV, DVD player, AstraOne Satellite TV, KitchenAid N'Espresso coffee machine, washing machine, iron, hair dryer. The main bedroom, 3rd room and lounge/dining area all have sea views. The new and modern kitchen is of high quality & well equipped, including a dishwasher & N'Espresso coffee machine.

Almeria Area: The Cabo de Gata National Park is Andalucia's largest coastal protected area with some of Europe's most original geological features and stretches the coastline around Almeria with high craggy mountains, some fabulous unspoilt beaches, hidden coves and, for divers, extensive coral reefs teeming with marine life giving some of the best diving in Spain. Designated a UNESCO Biosphere reserve in 1997, the park shelters an extraordinary wealth of wildlife, including many rare and endemic plants and endangered fauna.

The historic town of Granada is just a couple of hours away. An absolute must is a visit to the astonishing UNESCO national heritage site, the Alhambra. Don't forget to stroll the winding streets of the Albaicin, the old Arabic quarter, at the foot of the Arabian palace.

There are plenty of local towns to visit, not least the old town, Mojacar Pueblo, set in the hills with its narrow cobbled streets, nice restaurants and Flamenco in the summer months in the main square.
Garrucha is also just a few kms away from Mojacar Playa, with its blue flag beaches and lovely port/harbour area. It remains an active fishing port and marina and is a seafood lovers delight.

Séjour au bruit des vagues

Sans aucun doute une vue fabuleuse. La terrasse offre un panorama exceptionnel et loin de l’agitation de GARRUCHA ou VERRA. Possibilité d’aller à la plage à pied et en voiture accès à de petite plage magique. La résidence est sécurisée, arborée et bien entretenue. La piscine est une bonne alternative en fin d’après-midi. Pour le logement il y a une bonne distribution des pièces avec un espace parent apprécié. Très bien équipé, on a beaucoup apprécié les parasols meme s’ils ne sont pas de toute jeunesse. Un beau séjour.

Relax a Mojacar

Appartamento ampio, pulito e dotato di tutto il necessario per la casa: diverse stoviglie, bicchieri, microonde,elegante biancheria per la casa, lavatrice, ferro e asse da stiro. Nessun problema col wi-fi. Enorme terrazzo per godersi a tutte le ore lo splendido panorama sulla spiaggia di Mojacar Macenas. Il complesso in cui si trova l'appartamento è ben curato (erano in corso migliorie del verde - piante, fiori, irrigazione) ed è dotato di servizio di guardiania 24h/24. A disposizione anche il posto auto nell'autorimessa al coperto. Dopo la prenotazione siamo stati contatati da Rent Mojacar, l'agenzia che gestisce l'appartamento da parte del proprietario. Abbiamo chiesto la possibilità di organizzare pulizie extra dell'appartamento e ci siamo accordati sulle date. Al momento del nostro arrivo, la gentile incaricata dell'agenzia ci ha atteso presso il complesso, ci ha mostrato tutta l'abitazione e ci ha fornito tutte le indicazioni necessarie per il nostro soggiorno. Unica nota: i contatti con l'agenzia durante il soggiorno avvengono solo via mail, ma il sistema non risulta abbastanza efficace. E' un servizio che può essere migliorato.

Infestado de cucarachas !!!!

Infestado de cucarachas !!! Llegue con la familia y todo bien por un momento, a las 2 horas encontramos la primera cucaracha y en la noche encontramos 10 en total, al día siguiente 3 más... salimos y hablamos con "rent mojacar" y no se hacían responsables, homeaway tampoco, el dueño me dijo ... bueno fumigaremos.... por supuesto salimos de allí pitando, no dejaría a mi familia en un lugar con cucarachas.... hice las fotos que me pidieron en homeaway y a pesar de todo y de pasar solo una noche allí, de las 7 pagadas, el dueño no quiso reconocer el problema y no nos devolvió ni un centavo ... un miserable... Nos fuimos a un hotel, no recomiendo este lugar ni a mi peor enemigo!!

Falta algo de mantenimiento, sobre todo en el exterior. Hay muchisimas cucarachas y hormigas.

Las vistas y ubicacion son increibles. Se echa de menos la piscina del club de playa, porque las piscinas se encuentran algo saturadas sobre todo a ciertas horas. El apartamento esta perfectamente equipado, con muchos detalles. Es una pena que el exterior este algo descuidado, con tumbonas oxidadas, plantas secas y basura en la terraza del dormitorio. La pared de dicha terraza necesita una reparacion, ademas de las mesas. Otro problema es la cantidad de insectos como cucarachas y hormigas que aparecen con frecuencia. Los colchones y almohadas estan muy sucios y huelen mal. En conjunto es aceptable por las increibles vistas, aunque no se si se justifica el precio elevado.

Property Fine - Site Not

The beach club as advertised was non existent - closed since 2014. I only booked the apartment because of the beach club and facilities within it. This is a gross misrepresentation of the facts and I am looking for compensation. The photos showing the beach club with infinity pool should be removed immediately. The whole site is run down and in real need of repair. We had to pay to go to another beach club in Mojacar which we would not have done if there was a beach club as advertised at the Golf and Beach Resort at Playa de Macenas. There was no golf course either. The whole site was misnamed. We had no beach chairs in the apartment which we could have used by the small pool between the apartments which meant we were unable to use that pool also. There were no facilities for rubbish collection which meant we had to carry our rubbish to the car and take it to the bins outside the resort. Hardly a 5* resort more like a 2*. The apartment was fine apart from the fact that the air conditioning was on one control only and as the rooms varied in need of air conditioning it was very inefficient. The wind-up blinds in the sitting room were very stiff from the beginning of the week. By the middle of the week the blinds could not be wound up or down without 2 people helping - one had to be outside holding the blind whilst the other wound the blind. I also booked the apartment because it had satellite TV and the World Cup and Wimbledon was on. I assumed it would have English channels particularly as the owner is English - I was wrong! Yet another disappointment. Altogether a very unsuccesful stay..

Stylish flat in stunning location

My friends and I had a relaxing stay at this stylish apartment just outside Mojacar Playa in an upmarket complex. It was secluded and quiet, with fab views over the Med. Unlike many holiday lets we've had in the area, this flat is nicely decorated with upmarket furniture and has all the mod cons you'd want: dishwasher, strong wifi, air-con, washing machine, Nespresso machine. The owner responded promptly to every question we had. I thoroughly recommend.

Vacaciones tranquilas

La urbanización está muy bien diseñada con varias piscinas con lo que se está muy tranquilo. El apartamento muy cómodo y con unas vistas fabulosas. La playa aunque no es de las mejores de Almería porque tiene mucha roca, está bien, otra opción moverte con el coche a alguna cala de al lado. El propietario súper atento muy rápido a todas las preguntas que le hemos realizado. Resumiendo si quieres tranquilidad es una recomendable opción de vacaciones

El apartamento es estupendo y el dueño de muy atento y pendiente de nosotros, pero las instalaciones no son prácticas ya que está llenas de escaleras , necesitas coche para todo , el precio por 6 dias es alto y no justificado.

Ubicacion magnifica, falta de higiene en la casa

Tanto el propietario como la gente que trabaja en el resort muy agradables. La ubicacion magnifica con unas vistas preciosas. El unico inconveniente fue la falta de limpieza en el apartamento, los suelos estaban sucios y con pelusas y manchas. Habia cucarachas y hay bastantes gatos en la urbanizacion los cuales se colaban en el apartamento. Tuvimos que comprar para los bichosLos muebles tambien estaban bastantes desgastados y sucios.

Una casa de ensueño

Es una maravilla despertarte y abrir la ventana y lo primero que ves es el mar. La terraza es una pasada, desayunar comer y cenar escuchando y viendo el mar no tiene precio. El propietario es muy atento y cualquier cosa que le preguntes te contesta rápido y siempre dispuesto a ayudar. La urbanización tiene muy buenas instalaciones con la salvedad de que al principio es un poco lioso encontrar el apartamento ya que es un laberinto, pero salvo eso una estancia fantástica. Muy recomendable para familias.

Great location. Well maintained apartment.

We just returned from a 10 day holiday in this apartment, which is situated in a great location on a relatively quiet complex. The apartment is well maintained and air conditioned. As mentioned in the description, the sea views are uninterrupted. We experienced a bit of noise from the apartment above. This varied throughout the stay according to the tenants, but it didn't bother us too much. The complex is situated away from the busy Playa area of Mojacar and has a relatively quiet family vibe. The pools within the complex are great, particularly the infinity pool. The owner was extremely helpful, giving us tips and recommendations of where to eat in the local area. Its a 15 min drive or so up to the Pueblo of Mojacar, from which the views of the surrounding area are stunning. There are miles and miles of beautiful beaches close by, ranging from really busy to completed isolated. All the beaches we visited were clean and some were outstanding. We would have no hesitation in visiting again. However, we would probably avoid July/August due to the heat. Having a young child, we needed to stay in the shade/apartment and seek out air-conditioned cafes etc for most of the day, venturing out onto the beaches after 5.30pm. The temperatures during our stay averaged 35C to 40C during the day. Apparently this was a particularly hot period, even by local standards. There is a wealth of bars, cafes and restaurants locally, to suit every taste. The nearby town of Garrucha is a working fishing port and local restaurants offer fantastic fresh fish dishes. We flew to Alicante airport and then drove to the apartment, which was around a 3 hour drive. There are a couple of other airports which are slightly closer, although we couldn't find the flights to fit from those airports. We would have no hesitation in recommending this apartment and do hope to visit again. Thanks for a great stay!

Fantastic holiday, fab apartment, stunning views!

The Views from this apartment especially from the Master bedroom and the main living area are stunning. We slept with the shutters open just so we could wake up every morning to the sunrising over the ocean. The apartment was very well equipped for 6 and the kitchen had everything needed for eating in. (Usually fish on the bbq) My husband played the golf course and said it was 'heaven on earth'. The Friday Market at Garrucha was fantastic for fresh produce especially the cheese and olives. We hired a car which I would say is essential. The weather was absolutely beautiful perfect for our fair skin. We swam every day either in the pool or in the sea. All in all a perfect holiday for the whole family and our batteries are well and truly recharged! We will definitely be returning!!

Excellent option for families

Nice appartment with the best sigthseeing in Playa Macenas. The appartment is really complete with all you can need for a family of 6 people. Close to the beach you will not see any building between the coast and the flat. The breeze is almost continue so you can sleep cool in the night and have breakfast, lunch or dinner in the garden. The owner is really serious and will give you all the iformation and facilities for you can have a wonderful stay. The back side is connected to the Beach Club and the beach through a sand path in 3 minutes walking. Playa Macenas is the best touristic complex in Mojacar and perhaps in Cabo de Gata Coast: The place more sunny in Europe, nice beaches and good gastronomy will make you to have unforgetable vacations.

Beautiful apartment with sea view

This gorgeous apartment has got to be the finest in the whole Playa Macenas complex. The interior is spacious and has been finished to a very high standard and tastefully furnished. The enormous terrace extends around two sides of the apartment giving fabulous views of the beach and sea. One side of the terrace is more like a little garden with table and chairs for al fresco dining in the evenings and steamer chairs for catching the sun at any time of day. The other part of the terrace has a covered veranda ideal for breakfast, relaxing with a book or just admiring the view. The children were delighted by the 'communal' swimming pool right by the apartment which they mostly had all to themselves. The complex is very well run and friendly and the girls in the office are on hand for any help or advice. A car is essential if you want to explore the area, especially for excursions to the Cabo de Gata National Park and its fantastic uncommercialised beaches. We particularly enjoyed Aqua Amarga which is a 45 min drive down the coast. It is an unspoilt seaside village with a couple of great restaurants right on the beach...ideal if you have children. The old town of Mojacar is also worth a visit in the early evening, just to wander up through the old streets and take a few photos. Great views from here too. We all had an extremely enjoyable and relaxing week and would definitely go back again.

Playa Macenas sea view apartment

I thought this apartment was beautifully furnished, comfortable and one of the most perfectly situated on the entire complex. It has a balcony and interconnecting garden which stretches around the apartment on two sides and offers panoramic views of the ocean - just perfect for sundowners. A canopy provided shade on hot days and there was a barbeque and outside dining space. The facilities on the complex included several swimming pools (one of which is located very close to the apartment), a pool club complex with shops and a restaurant / bar and also a golf course. Locally, the beach front afforded many great restaurants and activities for all ages as well as a stunning beach. I would definitely go back.
