About this property

Stay at The Comstock Kennel

Located 13 miles out of town, this beautiful property on the Nome River at the Comstock Dog Mushing Kennel features a spacious, open concept 1 bedroom with a queen bed. Listen to the sled dogs howl at the northern lights. Book a sled dog experience at the Comstock Kennel  or enjoy a sauna and cold plunge in the river. Complete with a full bathroom and small kitchen. Immerse yourself in the Alaskan wild. Click on the map to see the location. You will need a vehicle or we can pick you up for a fee.

This cozy house has a sitting area, work space and lots of natural light. Complete with blackout curtains for those long summer days that double as insulated blinds for those frigid winter nights.

The private cabin with private entrance is all yours to enjoy.

Feel free to walk over to the main house or message Tim or Burr. If you would like to meet the dogs and take a tour or a ride with them, reach out. Otherwise we'll let you enjoy the tranquility of Alaska.

This cabin is located at our working Sled Dog Kennel. Situated next to the Nome river and surrounded by tundra and epic mountains, this getaway puts you right in the heart of the Alaskan Wild. Book your sled dog experience at thecomstockkennel.com

In the summer you can drive right up to the cabin.

In the winter you can ski or walk in. Or you can arrange for Burr to meet you at the airport for a ride on the snow machine.

We are fairly remote, you will need a vehicle to get to and from our cabin. And in the winter we walk the 1/4 mi from the road to the house. We can discuss pick up and drop off services for a fee if you prefer. So please reach out for any questions or special requests. We'll do what we can to accommodate.
Our prices include all fees. No hidden fees.

Tim and Burr were very great hosts and were very helpful and kind! Thank you, guys, for letting me stay and making everything comfortable. I enjoyed that there was a stove and refrigerator. Also, the full-length mirror, comfortable bed, and good heating. Thank you for the car plug in as well, that was a life saver!
