Great week in Rodanthe

This was as advertised with lots of room, a few steps from the beach, beautiful sunrises and close to restaurants. Also central location to explore Pea Island and the Hatteras National Seashore.

Fantastic pool & home

Loved the layout of the home and the pool. The home was well stocked with kitchen and personal accessories such as soap, shampoo, pots, pans, etc. This would be a five star rating if there was more beach.

Great beach house!

We loved our stay at The Knotty Whale! The house was spacious. The beach was not very crowded in early June and the hot tub and pool were great! We will be back!

Loved this house & location, we all enjoyed walks on the beach, the view of the ocean from every window & hot tub was perfect. We will be back.

Relaxing vacation

Stayed during off season so price was excellent. Area is not commercialized so lots of little small businesses rather than big chains. Close to the beach and great views for dolphin watching or just relaxing and listening to the waves crash on the beach. Enjoyed staying and would rent this house again.

The Knotty Whale

Brought my family of six to this beach home for Labor Day weekend. The home location, size, and amenities were perfect for us! We enjoyed the location and watched the sunrise each morning from the upper deck.

nice house with hot tub and beach access

Views were incredible from all the balconies, plenty of space for our large party. Just don’t plan on grilling, ever, the grill isn’t what you’d expect.

Perfect View

The ocean view from this home was amazing. Tranquil and peaceful. Pool was well heated and hot tub was clean and heated to a perfect 102 degrees. If you are looking for a great getaway in Rodanthe book this one.

Great trip

We had a great time at The Knotty Whale. The pool is great and you are steps away from the ocean. If you are a light sleeper don’t sleep downstairs- you hear every single step above you.

Beautiful & Relaxing

This home is simple & elegant with amazing views. We were delighted with dolphins and birdwatching every day. The house was clean and well equipped for our holiday getaway. Highly recommend you book the Knotty Whale for your next OBX adventure.

Nice location

Pretty convenient being about the middle of the Outerbanks. We went to the south end and took the fairy, which is free, to Ocracoke. The next day went to the north end all the way to Corolla. Saw all the lighthouses along the way. House has a nice ocean view and many updates.
