**Four people max occupancy!! We don't want any more than that please.

Ski Mammoth Lakes. Almost unlimited terrain for beginner to full expert. Mammoth also has a free transit system to move you around the city if you choose not to drive. We are located approx 1/2 mile from Canyon Lodge and 3/4 mi from the Village, Mammoth's premiere location for food, drink and nightlife.

At our condo we offer WiFi for those who need it for work, recreation or maybe netflix (we use it for all).

Our condo is a warm and inviting 700 sq ft 1 bath, 1 loft bedroom unit. Ideal for a couples getaway but will sleep 4 comfortably.

Upstairs loft has a queen size bed, separate bath, walk in shower, blow dryer, bath towels, and is stocked with non-personal toiletries. Extra freshly washed linens and blankets are available in addition to your freshly made bed.

The downstairs has a cozy couch/pull out sleeper, fireplace and stocked firewood, flat screen HDTV with DVR/Blu-ray, movie collection and games and Wi-Fi. Vaulted ceilings and south facing dual pane windows that let the light in all day (if you like).

The kitchen is well equipped with a microwave, pots, pans, dishes, utensils, auto-timer coffee maker and a crock pot for slow cooking while you are out-- hiking/fishing/skiing! There is a full size table that seats 4.

We pride ourselves in offering a clean, well-organized and clutter free unit. We know from experience there is nothing worse than booking a place for a nice restful vacation, driving for hours, only to be welcomed by a less then clean condo.

A couple of aspects about this location we found so appealing were first, it is quiet and peaceful, and second, the convenient parking/unloading/loading. Two parking spots are reserved for you just outside the door. After a long day you will NOT have to search for parking and trudge-- with your gear-- across the lot, up stairs, down a corridor, etc. It's nice to be able to back right up to the front door.

We are only 1/2 mile from the popular Canyon Lodge and Mammoth's Village. We are also just down the street from the city's free shuttle system and paved bike trails (with miles of riding/walking/running).

Last but not least, let's not forget the spa--there are plenty of over sized spa towels in the unit so you have to get over to the hot tub!

Please note: We charge for a basic cleaning (change sheets, linens, vacuum, etc.) Cleaning does not cover excessive mess...I.E. food and stains. Overly messy oven, microwave mess or stained lines, carpets...etc. will be charged for accordingly.

Why Ed Davis chose Mammoth Mountain

We were looking for a place close to the ski areas. When this property became available we felt fortunate and were able to finally fulfill a dream of owning a place up here.

What makes this condo unique

The unique benefits would have to be the year round activities available right out your front door. Winter time has some of the best skiing around, snowmobiling or cross country skiing. Spring, Summer and Fall provide a whole different menu to choose from like Skiing, Cycling, Hiking, Fishing --all minutes from the front door. Mammoth has one of the countries premiere Mtn Bike Parks. It offers complete packages that will outfit you with a bike and all the gear. You just show up and have fun! Also the town of Mammoth hosts a wide array of social activities. There is always something going on. Specific to the unit, we love it compared to others because it is on the ground level, is open and airy with vaulted ceilings, has plenty of windows, is bright and sunny and has great parking. Plus the complex is not too big and is really clean. Definitely a hidden little treasure.

Ed's condo is very close to the lower lodge and convenient for mountain biking Mammoth. Ed's communication was great and very accommodating. a great value for all that you get. I highly recommend staying here. Thanks!!!

Another great experience!

I stayed here in June, and came back this month. Another great experience, so I will be returning in Sept.

As I mentioned in my first review: Ed is great. Easy to reach via telephone, and adept at answering any questions that you might have.

As far as I am concerned this is one of the best options available for staying at Mammoth. Close to the village for dining/shopping, close to many trail heads for hiking, photography, and exploring.

In Sept. I will bring my bicycle for the Mammoth Grand Fondo (i will only do the Piccolo:-(). Great vacation location!

Great condo for Eastern Sierras home base

The description in the listing is accurate and I'd agree with most of the other reviews. Ed is very responsive and the condo has more than what you'd expect for a VRBO rental. The location was great, the condo was clean, and it met our expectations since the listing was accurate, the pictures were good, and the reviews gave us confidence.

I wouldn't totally agree with the recent review regarding that the town is not easily accessible by walking or biking from the condo. We drove there from home so we had our car, but once we were there we rarely used it. The condo is a 15 minute walk from the village and there are bus/trolley stops even closer. The only time we used the car was to go to Yosemite, all of the other activities in Mammoth can be easily accessed via free public transportation. But I guess it's what you're accustomed to...for us, the balance between price and convenience/location was great. If we decide to head back to the area, we'd definitely consider this condo again.

A good stay

The condo was just as described - clean and cozy. The owners, Ed and Janette, were very easy to work with. The condo was well-furnished and supplied with more than we expected. It did not have a washer and dryer but that was not an issue for us. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this condo to others.

Note that the loft bedroom and the only bathroom being located upstairs requires that you carry all of your necessities upstairs. If you have heavy suitcases, you may prefer to look for a condo located all on one level. Additionally, the town and village aren't easily accessed by walking or biking from this condo - you'll probably need to rent a car if you stay here.

We enjoyed our stay and hope that you do as well!

Great value. Have reservations for July and Aug.

First, Ed is great to work with. He answers his phone, or calls back punctually. Everything in the condo works correctly. Park right at the door, no schlepping down long halls, or elevators to deal with.

Older building, but well maintained, and clean. Bed is excellent! (very important to me) No AC, but there is great air flow from lower windows to upper windows, keeping the condo cool in the summer.

As mentioned in the title I am going back. Well satisfied.

Great base camp for Canyon Lodge!

We enjoyed our stay at this condo. Just as described--it was super clean and cozy. We (rather, I, the family's ski gear lugger) appreciated that it is literally 10 steps to the two-step porch and you're inside--no long, harsh carrying of ski gear. Also, there is no driving up or down a steep driveway, it's all pretty flat. Once inside, there are lots of coat racks and even wet-boot trays to catch run-off. As others have mentioned, although it sleeps 4, it's probably better with just 2 since there is one bathroom. It was a tad difficult to share with myself, my wife and our daughter--we got around that though. There are plenty of soft towels and there are lots of bath (and kitchen) items if you forgot something. The bed was firm and provided good sleep. We were a bit surprised to find out there is no dishwasher (we forgot--this is common in many Mammoth condos). Again, no biggie, there's a good dish rack and drainboard provided. For those who foodies cook in, the kitchen may be a little small countertop-wise--we made use of the dining table. The city plows the parking area as does another service with a snowblower. The latter fellow even shoveled each condo's steps and porch. We got a 3 foot dump overnight and I made good use of the snow shovel and porch broom that Ed and Jeanette provided. Overall, this is a very, very nice place to stay and it's just a 1/2 mile up Davison to Canyon Lodge's parking lot. Ed is a very responsive host and refunded our security deposit extremely fast.
