It only took me a few decades of snow, sleet, gray skies, and shoveling existential dread to realize… I didn’t actually have to live like that! Then I found the tropical island of Captiva and immediately decided to call it my home. Three years later, I split my time between boats, motorcycles, and the beach — where I continue my lifelong commitment to never being cold again.
Why they chose this property
What I love most about Captiva is that there are no stoplights, no stress, and no reason to own real shoes. It’s all sunshine and sand, ridiculously nice people, great fishing, awesome water sports — and yes, the official dress code is bathing suits and flip-flops. I love this neighborhood specifically because it's hidden away on a private access road, so it's very quiet. People walk by and they're very friendly - plus, the beach is a 2 minute walk down the road and the village has all that you need!
What makes this property unique
Pearl has the addition of mini putt-putt in the front yard, as well as being brand new, inside and out. She has 2 king beds and 1.5 baths. The location is 10/10, being two blocks from Captiva Village and steps from the beach. Staying in Pearl is relaxing and convenient with the grocery store, coffee shop, and restaurants 5 minutes away by foot. It's a peaceful place to slow down, wear your flip-flops and casually look at real estate prices “just to see.” In short, Pearl is that rare unicorn of a cottage: charming, cozy, and fully prepared to win your heart!
