Super Clean / Comfortable / Sleeps 6

Welcome to Cabo San Lucas, Los Cabos, a world-class travel destination at the southernmost tip of the Baja Peninsula. Los Cabos is made up of two cities, cosmopolitan Cabo San Lucas and colonial-style San Jose del Cabo, the Tourist Corridor, a 20-mile stretch of beaches and luxurious resorts that connects them.

Nestled in the cliffs overlooking the ocean, this beautiful 2nd floor, 2 bedroom, 2 bath condo features panoramic views of the Sea of Cortez. From the moment you arrive you'll feel the difference as you enjoy spectacular sunrises from your private terrace every morning and beautiful sunsets every evening.

The living room and master bedroom offer panoramic ocean views! This unit has an open floor plan and guests can enjoy each other’s company whether they are in the living room, sending an e-mail from the desk, mixing margarita’s in the amply equipped kitchen or grilling a culinary masterpiece on the gas grill on the terrace.

The large master bedroom features a king size bed, new quality mattress, linens, sufficient storage and it’s own private bath. Sliding glass doors open to your condo’s private terrace!

The 2nd bedroom offers both a queen and twin bed with new quality mattresses, linens, it's own private bathroom, plenty of storage and the units enclosed washer & dryer.

This is a very special non-smoking condo that offers plenty of room for a family of six or privacy for two couples. And, yes, you can hear the sounds of the ocean as you sleep at night.

Located at Misiones del Cabo, this beach resort offers an exceptional location, dramatic views, safe swimming on a private beach and a wide range of guest services including an onsite property manager and concierge for your convenience.

The resort features a guarded, gated entrance, large swimming pool, swim-up palapa bar, grill and restaurants. The palapa bar & grill features XM satellite radio, satellite TV and free wireless internet service. Wednesday night showcases an all you can eat Mexican buffet for $8 per person and Friday’s special is fresh fish “catch of the day” for $8 per person!

The resort’s private beach is in a protected cove just a 2 minute walk from the condo. Swim, sunbathe, picnic or snorkel (colorful fish are abundant). You will never encounter beach vendors here like you will on the main beaches.

Costco is located less than a mile away, and with the addition of a Wal Mart Super Center, Sams Club, Mega, and City Club supermarkets you'll be able to purchase almost any grocery item you can imagine.

Misiones is a very relaxing and secluded resort. If you want to enjoy a relaxing vacation with your family or someone special, I think you'll find Misiones to be the perfect place. If you like to party hard, drink shots of tequila and dance to loud music, Misiones is only 5 minutes from the downtown Cabo action!

About Jeff Collins

We are both Wisconsin natives and look forward to some day spending our winter's in Cabo San Lucas! We fell in love with Mexico when we first vacationed there with our 3 children more than 10 years ago!

Jeff Collins purchased this condo in 2013

Why Jeff Collins chose Los Cabos Corridor

After years of searching, and a little help from my brother and his wife, we found Cabo and Misiones Resort to be the perfect blend for relaxing in an ideal climate with resort like amenities and yet only minutes to the never ending party in downtown Cabo or San Jose!

What makes this condo unique

Cabo is famous for it's sun drenched 85 degree days and beautiful sunrise and sunset views! Misiones has so much to offer in one location. Views, private beaches with snorkeling and surfing, two pools with swim-up bars & grills, 3 fabulous restaurants within easy walking distance and a concierge (Jose) to help plan for those special activities like deep sea fishing, winery tours, golf reservations or just where to get a good pizza!

Fabulous Weekend Get-Away

  • 5 of 5

I found Misiones del Cabo by pure luck. I stumbled upon the link after hours of searching for a weekend away to help celebrate my sister's 50th birthday for 4 days in November. From the initial booking to our last day, I can't say enough about the owner Jeff and the wonderful staff on the property. The villa was a perfect fit for my 2 sisters, my 84 year old mother and me, and everyone was so helpful and friendly. The views were outstanding, and the trips to the beaches and to Cabo were quick and easy by cab. Some of the highlights of our weekend were watching the sunrise with a cup of coffee each morning, our dinner at the Sunset Mona Lisa (we had to return the next day to see the beautiful views since it was dark when we arrived), breakfast at The Office and then taking their boat across to the marina to walk to church-for free-and the boat cruise we took around the arch (with an added bonus of a seal jumping on the back of the boat that was ahead of us to eat some fish!). I wish we could've stayed one more day just to enjoy a quiet day on the beach and at the pool. Thanks. Jeff and Eileen, for sharing your beautiful villa. We have such great memories of our mom and daughters weekend.

This is our third time to Cabo San Lucas and this is BY FAR the best place we have stayed. The primary reason - PRIVACY! Misiones is a wonderful, peaceful, and beautiful area. There is everything you need at this location. Here a few things we'd like to highlight:

1) The private beach just down the path from the condo - a less than 5 minute walk. The water is blue, clear and free of vendors. The condo is well-equipped with comfortable beach chairs, an umbrella and a rolling cooler that will guarantee a great day at the beach! There are also 2 sets of snorkeling equipment that will help you see all the wonderful fish off the private beach - it is like an AQUARIUM! Make sure that you wear shoes/aqua-socks/keens in the water as the coral will take a chunk out of you if you aren't paying attention. We also left 2 boogie boards at the condo - hopefully others can enjoy :)

2) The swimming pool w/ waterfall and swim-up bar are steps away from your condo door. This is complete with comfortable lounge chairs, tables and umbrellas. Pepe, the bar owner, and his son are wonderful and will take care of all of your beverage and food needs so you don't need to lift a finger if you don't want. My husband and brother-in-law went fishing and Pepe cooked all of our catch and then we shared it with everyone at the pool - including Jose (THE BEST CONCIERGE) who helped us book the fishing trip in the first place.

3) Staff is wonderful, non-intrusive and very helpful. Pepe and Jose were both fantastic. Jose booked the fishing trip for a fraction of the price it would have cost us if we booked at the Cabo Marina or from a vendor on Medano Beach. Jose took care of everything and was very helpful whenever we had questions. Daniel, the security guard, helped us whenever we came back from buying groceries and made sure we were able to get it to the condo without multiple trips. With as many people are trying to sell you things in Cabo, it is wonderful to come here and have no one sell you anything - EVER.

The condo was clean, comfortable and perfect for us. The deck had a gorgeous view of the ocean and at night we could hear the waves crash. Thank you Jeff and Eileen for letting us share your paradise.

Booking a trip back as soon as I get home.

Beautiful views from the master bedroom and living room made the ant problem in the bathrooms and having no internet or tv worth it. I was told something was going on with the satellite. And living in TX I truly understand ants. The master bedroom bed made me want to take it back with me on the plane lol. I will say if you're allergic to feathers bring allergy medicine. I believe the comforter is made of down. Thank you to all the previous guests who left books. They kept me entertained at night. The staff at the pool bar was awesome and the margaritas were outstanding. Last but not least, go to the Sunset Da Mona Lisa. It is a restaurant with the most gorgeous view while you eat and the food and service are impeccable. The restsurant is on the property a short walk from wherever your front door is. I would definitely stay here again and can't wait to come back.

Owner's Response: Melanie, Thank you and so happy to know you enjoyed your stay! We are very fortunate to have the wonderful Misiones staff. They really make everyone feel welcome and comfortable. Sorry about the TV service. We discovered the satellite dish had been damaged in the most recent storm and has now been replaced. We hope to see you again! Jeff & Eileen

Perfect for our family! Loved it!

  • 5 of 5

Our stay was excellent. The condo came very clean and very well stocked with little extras that weren't listed but very much appreciated. The view was stellar but what really made the whole trip worth it was the private bay/beach. We spent time there every day, either snorkeling or walking around the rocks. It was clean and always quiet. Just to see what else was around we took a trip to Chileno Beach and while it was pretty it was crowded and full of boats.

The patio was great. The grill was clean. Everything was perfect and the price was right. We'd absolutely come back.

Beautiful view, but pretty disappointed in condo and beach

  • 2 of 5

First off, the positives!! Gorgeous view from the balcony. We really enjoyed our morning coffee out there. Grounds are well maintained and pretty. Jose at the front desk is awesome and super helpful. The kids LOVED the swim up bar at the pool. Pepe became their new best friend because they got all the sprite and lunch they wanted at the bar and ate while in the pool! However, we were pretty disappointed in the condo and the beach. The condo is quite dated and really needs some redoing. The tile is white and shows EVERYTHING! I was sweeping constantly, which is expected at a beach property, but the dust pan didn't work at all. It appears to be homemade and the pan part of it is metal and is bent. This makes it very hard to clean up. Plus, a pretty beat up broom. The cleaning supplies provided were less than adequate in my opinion. The mop was stuck to the floor when I first got it out. The reverse osmosis faucet is loose and it made it hard to turn on and off. The property, appliances, and supplies need some attention for sure. The condo is also very small and cramped. The layout is not an open layout at all, which for a family of 5 including a 6 month old baby, was hard. It would be much better suited for a single couple, or no more than 4. My biggest issue was the ants. There were tiny ants EVERYWHERE! They especially loved our bathroom vanity and sink. They were all over it by the end of the trip. When we got there, there were ant bait traps in every room that were full of ants already. So there's obviously a problem with them. Lastly, the beach was a huge disappointment. It's beautiful, but not at all swimable. The surf is wicked and the rip current is even worse. And to add to the danger, there's huge rocks everywhere. It's a rocky beach in general. There's a little cove that was supposed to be full of fish where you could snorkel. Although there are fish there, there's no way you could snorkel there without getting hurt. I tried, and got bashed into a rock by a wave and cut my leg. The kids were able to body board a little wearing a life jacket, but that was it. They were pretty disappointed they couldn't swim more at the beach. It's too dangerous. We watched a grown man be pulled in by the rip current. People on the beach were saying they were going to have to go pull him out because he couldn't get out before another wave would knock him down and pull him in again. He ended up getting out, but with his swim trunks around his knees.

Owner's Response: Laci, Glad to hear you enjoyed Misiones, the views from our terrace, and the friendly staff! Knowing now that you had a couple of issues, I wish you would have reached out to us, or Bonnie our property manager. Had we known, we would have helped you with these. Thank you for letting us know that we need a new broom and dust pan. The tiny summer ants you saw are looking for water (we have occasionally seen these before too) and our property manager has scheduled preventative service. The private beach is beautiful and I am happy to hear you found the tropical fish plentiful. For those reading this review, our description on the VRBO website and the pre-arrival information we send to every guest clearly mentions that the swimming area of the private beach has rocky areas (we recommend water shoes for protection) and that the current / undertow can be strong. The private beach is wonderful for wading, sun bathing, picnics etc. and is usually nice and quiet! The beaches downtown Cabo (Medano Beach for example) are much more swimable and you can choose to hang out where the action is or find a quiet family spot! Again, for those reading this review, our condo is about 1,100 square feet, not including the terrace. There are two bedrooms and private baths in each. The only doors in the condo are the bedrooms and the bathrooms. The rest of the condo (kitchen, dining area and living room) is wide open. We make our guests comfort a priority and we appreciate knowing what we can do to make improvements. We make ourselves very reachable, by phone or e-mail, if a guest needs and requests assistance. Our property manager (Bonnie) lives year round at Misiones and is also readily available to help with any issue that may arise. Best regards, Jeff & Eileen

Beautiful Place

  • 4 of 5

Our week-long stay took full advantage of the beautiful setting and nice amenities at the Los Misiones property. The pools, beach area, swim up bar and grill (only one operates in the off season), and Jose the concierge were all outstanding.

The complex is undergoing mega renovations this summer. The entrance was blocked for our whole stay with cranes removing the archway, and the concierge area was mostly inoperable as well because of it. There was access through the parking lot, which got crowded on the weekend.

We had a few issues with the property itself, but Jeff was prompt to reply to my email about them. He made arrangements for the property manager to meet us and begin the process of remedying the problems. You may want to inquire about the status before you rent.

I never saw it anywhere else, so for first time visitors who are driving here, be aware of the odd traffic patterns between San Jose del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas. From the airport, you actually need to get off onto the right side lanes which allow you to reverse direction (retorno), then drive past where your GPS will tell you Los Misiones is, cross over the highway on a bridge, and drive back to the drive to the property. Los Misiones is listed in small letters at the bottom of the tall tan colored sign, but you'll know you are at the right place when you see a series of bright orange high rises from the road down toward the sea.Los Misiones is at the end of that drive.

The unit is spacious, well-arranged, has everything you will need to cook most kinds of meals, and has a great terrace with views of the ocean. You do have to look over or around another building to see the shoreline.

This property is well suited for a family or for 2 couples. A car is a big help, but there are always taxis available right up the drive, and the bus stops at the top of the drive (500m walk).

Sunset Pizza and Wine is a short walk, and very beautiful. Chileno beach is a 10k drive or bus ride, and provides a great place to swim and snorkel. We did not attempt to swim at the property's private beach. It is rocky and had very rough surf the two times we went there. Enjoy Cabo!

As a well-known destination for both A-list travelers in need of a getaway & spring breakers, Cabo San Lucas is a definite vacation must. The beaches here range from the serene aqua blue waters of the Sea of Cortez and Playa del Amor to the kickin’ waves of Zippers, a surfing paradise.

Cabo San Lucas has a well-earned reputation for rowdy, uninhibited nightlife, but the after-dark action in Los Cabos is by no means restricted to the bars, clubs, and cantinas that crowd downtown San Lucas. San José del Cabo and the Tourist Corridor that connects the two cape cities also boast good-time go-to spots, ranging from microbreweries and sports bars to tequila lounges, live music venues, and late-night dance clubs. In fact, the distinguishing characteristic of the Los Cabos nightlife scene may be its seemingly unending variety.

Whether your tastes run to wineries or biker bars, there are plenty of options. Beer aficionados will appreciate local microbreweries like Baja Brewing Company and Ramuri Cerveceria. Wine lovers will definitely want to visit the downtown Los Cabos Winery or check out the wine lists at some of the region's best eateries. Beachgoers will enjoy hanging out at Medano Beach standouts like Mango Deck, The Office, or Baja Cantina; or Zipper's, which overlooks all the surf action at Playa Costa Azul.

Want to keep up with the progress of your favorite football or hockey team? Stop by one of the area's top sports bars (of which there are many). And if your tastes run to Mexican treasures like tequila, let's just say your playground extends throughout the width and breadth of Baja California Sur.

Los Cabos also suffers no shortage of late-night dance clubs and hard rocking live music venues. DJs and up-tempo dance mixes rule the midnight hour at clubs like Cabo Wabo, Pink Kitty, and Squid Roe. Live music lovers, on the other hand, should look to music legends like Sammy Hagar, Gene Simmons, and Paul Stanley. Cabo Wabo has long been a fixture of the San Lucas scene, while the newly opened Rock and Brews in San José del Cabo features enough Kiss memorabilia and electric guitars to thrill visiting rock fans.

For diners seeking a true Mexican culinary experience, authentic restaurants abound. Mexican cuisine, born of the union of pre-Columbian and Spanish cultures is known the world over. Fresh ingredients meld with a cornucopia of chilies and exotic herbs and spices, creating fabulous dishes and enhanced flavor for meals you will be raving about for years! And as Los Cabos grows and evolves, so does the variety of culinary delights. Other Cabo restaurants speak with many accents. Fine Italian, European, American and pan-Asian eateries thrive in diverse and delightful settings. Fresh seafood is a big draw, prepared every way imaginable. Dress up or down, relax, and indulge your palate. Savor the simplicity of a fresh fish taco, or go all out and do the town.
