Our condo is approximately 1,070 sq ft. and has 2 bedrooms, a sleeping alcove and three full baths. There is a central living area/kitchen with a full bath and balcony. New wood flooring was added Summer 2015 in the living area /kitchen. The king mattress in the master replaced Summer '15. There is an en suite full bath in the master. The second bedroom has a Queen sized bed replaced in Spring 2017 and a full bath. There is a daybed/trundle bed in the sleeping alcove in the second bedroom suite. Each room has dramatic views of Buffalo Mountain, Red Mountain and Mount Silverthorne and others.

The condo sleeps 6 easily. There is room for ski or snowboard storage in the unit and on the balcony.

The Lodge at Lake Dillon is very quiet and well maintained. There is an outdoor pool and kiddie pool for summer use and an indoor sauna and hot tub for after your day of skiing. The outside has flowers in season, trees and grassy area and on the Lake Dillon side, there is access to biking and walking trails. The building has elevator access to all floors. There is a sheltered area in front of the building for loading and unloading luggage and groceries. Other amenities of Lodge at Lake Dillon include laundry room on the ground floor.

The condo kitchen is fully furnished with all the utensils, glasses, dinnerware you can imagine. The appliances have been completely updated with stainless steel. There is a bar with seating for four, a small table that can seat two more. A full bath is located on the left as you enter the unit off the hallway leading to the kitchen.

The living area with leather furniture, a huge Mexican chest as a coffee table, a 42 inch flat screen with Comcast cable access and a blue ray player that can also be used to access your Netflix account. The blue ray player also accommodates cd’s and dvd’s. There is free wifi in the unit. Lodge wifi access is also available from a booster located in the condo.

There is also a gas fireplace next to the sliding glass door that opens onto a deck with seating for two and room for more. Additional outdoor seating is stored inside the condo.

The master bedroom has a king size bed, a flat panel tv with Comcast cable and a blue ray player. There is also a full bath ensuite. One wall of the bedroom has an expansive view of the mountain ranges surrounding Dillon.

One wall of the second bedroom also provides views of the surrounding mountain ranges. The second bedroom is furnished with a new (2017) queen size bed and a large closet with mirrored doors. This room has a flat screen tv with Comcast Cable and an internal dvd player. Also located on this side of the condo is an anteroom outside the second bedroom with a daybed and a trundle bed, a small dining table and a bookshelf with a collection of books, dvd’s and games. The full bath on this side has a vanity area and a full size tub with shower.

With every season, there are activities in Dillon and the surrounding towns for everyone. Guests can ride the Summit Stage, a free bus service that transports guests and their skis/bikes to all towns and ski locations in the county.

The Lodge is located in downtown Dillon and provides easy access to local restaurants, a supermarket, a movie theater, bike and ski/snowboard equipment, a concert venue, bike trails and a lakeside Tiki Bar (summers only). You are within walking distance to several excellent restaurants and just a few minutes’ drive from many more. Brochures and menus are available in the condo and on the web. The Silverthorne Outlet stores are about a 5 minute drive away.

We have lived in Atlanta, Georgia for quite a while. On our first ski trip in our early forties, we fell in love with the mountains in Summit County. We didn't grow up around mountains or snow but we have grown to love both the summers and winters in Summit County. Our oldest son and his wife (a Summit County native) settled here so we like to come out to visit them as often as possible.

Why David Bennett chose Dillon

We chose this property after looking for the perfect place for two years. We have visited Summit County and rented VRBO properties for years and we finally decided to buy a centrally located condo that has access to recreation, shopping, dining, theaters and a beautiful lake. The Lodge at Lake Dillon kept popping back up on our radar and finally when an ideal unit came on the market, we bought it based on the photos alone.

This condo has cool breezes in the summer and it is warm and snug in the winter. There are thermostats in each room. We have updated all of the appliances and light fixtures, updated the paint with warm colors and added new furniture and decor. The beds are comfortable and the views of the mountains from the balcony and bedrooms are stunning.

What makes this condo unique

We fell in love with the views of Buffalo Mountain, Red Mountain and Mount Silverthorne from the beginning. Every sunrise and sunset offers an ever changing, colorful view of the mountains from our decks and bedrooms. I keep a camera nearby for those moments that make me want to save images of the mountains forever. The spaciousness of the condo and three full baths also sold us on this condo.

I believe that one of the best benefits is the centrality of the location that allows you quick access to shopping and entertainment and some premier ski resorts.

Why limit yourself to one resort when you can quickly drive to several or take the Summit Stage all over Summit County? If you don't want to rent a car, it is possible to take Mountain Express directly to the door of the Lodge and then walk, bike or ride the Summit Stage anywhere you need to go.

Summer or Winter, one of the best features of this condo’s location is access to the Summit Stage, a free bus service available year round with a pickup point just across the street from the lodge. This bus service transports you, your ski equipment and/or your bicycles to the ski resorts of Summit County including Breckenridge, Keystone, Copper Mountain and Arapahoe Basin. The buses are large, comfortable and the service is continuous.

Throughout the summer there are events such as the BBQ Festival, Friday night concerts in the Lake Dillon Amphitheatre, the Dillon Open Regatta and the Fourth of July fireworks show. In case you are driving, you can drive to Breckenridge, Frisco or Keystone. You can also use the condo as a base for day trips to Grand Junction, Leadville, Steamboat or Glenwood Springs. A ferry is also available for round trip service from Dillon to Frisco, departing from the Marina. There are also opportunities for horseback riding, fly fishing, rafting and even jeep tours to the peaks. Companies that provide these services are located in the Summit Daily, the yellow pages or a quick Google search of the area.

Being located lakeside provides you with access to bike and walking trails that can take you around the lake and to Keystone or Frisco.

Great place for a family

We had a great experience! Location close enough to things to do but far away enough that it was quiet. The condo gave enough space that we could cook meals and spread out in the evening. Price is right for what you get. Only 3 negatives: When we arrived the condo was HOT. I know the outside temperature was warm, but the greenhouse effect on the windows to the west really heated things up. It took a couple days to get the walls and furniture cooled down. Depending on the season this will not affect everyone but you might request the manager open the windows before you arrive if you are visiting in summer. Second, the building itself (common areas, elevator) were all looking tired. Finally, the laundry room has an app that allows you to buy time on the machines rather than use quarters. There were two apps advertized, the one on the flyer didn't work; the one on the actual machine did work, and worked great by the way. No big deal but was frustrating for the moment so heads up. All in all, the condo was great for the money, the negatives are not directly related to the living area and are the only reason we don't give 5 stars. Great communication with the manager; we had one problem and he texted right back and sorted things out within minutes. Thanks!

Owner's Response: Thanks for the idea re opening the windows prior to arrival in the future. The condo has been painted on the outside and new balcony railing installed within the past two years. The inside is maintained by an on site manager.

Great Home Base

Condo was very well stocked and comfortable. Split bedrooms with common living space between allowed us both to have our own space. Dillon is a great central location for exploring and there are lots of options for food nearby. Condo does get very warm despite leaving bedroom windows open all night and 43 degrees outside. Fans really helped cool it off. Also appreciated small humidifiers.

Would stay here again. 3 full baths made this a quality condo for future stays. Comfortable bedding. Also like the central location for getting to all the different resorts. Kitchen had all the necessary needs plus d/w for convenience

Great Location for a Ski Trip!!!

Our group really enjoyed this home for a long weekend of skiing! Both bedrooms were spacious and easily accommodated both couple’s needs. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils, dishes, pans, and a variety of spices. We had no issues cooking breakfast every day and packing lunches for the slopes. We spent a couple days skiing at Cooper Mountain and a couple days skiing at Loveland; both resorts were very easy to access from this location. There is a variety of good restaurants in Dillon and Frisco is only a couple miles away with even more restaurants. Overall a great location to access a number of different ski resorts, a great condo set up that has everything you need, and lots of good restaurants nearby. I would stay here again in the future!
