A true Mountain Experience!! With a massive, panoramic view, GrandView offers both rustic and luxury elegance. GrandView is a newly renovated and professionally decorated mountain cabin. This open-floor plan cottage offers the opportunity to sit on the sofa or dine at the large rustic table (seats 10) and enjoy a coveted, wide open, long range view. Every room in the house boasts this view.

As you enter GrandView you will find a great room, kitchen and dining area. The living area has a large stone fireplace with gas logs and a brand new 55” HDTV. Comfortable leather furniture completes the space. The Master Bedroom is on the main level and comes with a King bed, 55” HDTV and private bathroom. Downstairs offers two bedrooms, both with King beds, TV’s and their own bathrooms. A large Den/Rec room is furnished with a large, comfortable sectional sofa (great for watching movies or relaxing after a day on the slopes), 60” Smart HDTV, fold-up bed, and a separate laundry room with a full size washer and dryer.

You’ll love GrandView because of the huge panoramic views, beautiful decorations and rustic mountain feel, 3 king beds with accommodations for 7, three large screen TVs, dual family areas, and a large open deck that is covered on one side for those desiring the shade. Our place is close to mountains, waterfalls, rivers and lakes, hiking and biking trails, golf, restaurants, horseback riding, wineries, skiing, tubing, sledding, whitewater rafting, and more. GrandView is good for couples, families (with kids), business travelers, and groups.

This is a perfect location for all the High Country has to offer. Whether you want to ski, hike or sit on the covered deck and enjoy the view, Grandview is as good as it gets! Everything is new, clean and much attention has been given to every detail.

About John Lewis

My wife and I are originally from Kingsport, TN and Winston-Salem, NC, respectively. I attended the University of Tennessee in Knoxville while my wife attended Appalachian State University right down the road in Boone, NC. I think we have always loved the mountains.

John Lewis purchased this cabin in 2013

Why John Lewis chose Blue Ridge Mountains

As the name suggests....it truly has a Grand View. The view is breath-taking!!! All rooms in the house have this same spectacular view.

What makes this cabin unique

We have a sister property...LongView right next door for those really large families!

Guestbook comments from the owner

The GrandView was an amazing place for a weekend getaway with some family and friends. We sort of surprised my wife for her birthday, and she couldn't have been happier. The place is very roomy and more than comfortable for 6 people. Everything we needed was there, including the awesome view, and so we didn't leave all weekend. We've booked many places in the area, and this was by far the best. We really loved the fact it didn't have your typical "country cottage" cabin decor, which made it even more homey for us. Will definitely be booking again in the near future.

Great house, location and view.

  • 5 of 5

We recently stayed here over our kids week long spring break. The house was in excellent shape and had plenty of size for the four of us. The view was outstanding as was everything else about the house. The owner was actually staying at his other rental next door and was able to help us out right away with a minor issue. We look forward to staying here again.

Great family mini-vacation!

  • 5 of 5

Six of us stayed at GrandView for 4 days over college spring break week. We love the mountains, and this location was wonderful. The house was lovely, comfortable and spotless. We spent most of our days out, but the nights were cozy, and the view of the sunset incredible. We also love star gazing and were not disappointed on the clear nights. The location allowed us to get to Grandfather Mountain, Linville Caverns, Boone, and Banner Elk with ease. We highly recommend GrandView!

Grand view is a perfect name for this cabin.

  • 5 of 5

Our stay at the Grandview cabin was wonderful. It's a beautiful cabin with a truly awesome mountain view. Very cozy and comfortable with everything you need to be comfortable on your vacation. Owners are great to work with and very nice. I always received a response right away. Location is great for access to Sugar Mountain, Beech Mountain, and Appalachian Ski Mountain. We will definitely be coming back again. Thank you to the Lewis family for a wonderful vacation experience.

Beautiful View

  • 5 of 5

The view from the upstairs living space is awesome. The space downstairs was great to hangout and watch tv. Great place for couples. Hard to find rooms with all king beds with their own private bathrooms. Will definitely go back.

Treasured memories!

  • 5 of 5

Our stay was wonderful! Once a year we travel with our three adult children and look for opportunity for new adventures. This year we chose Grand View for the location near two ski resorts that we planned to visited. Our cabin was very accommodating, well equipped, comfortable, and the view was Grand. We were pleasantly surprised to see Sugar Mountain at night from the back deck and the lights from Beech Mountain from the front porch. We also visited Linville Falls and Grandfather Mountain during our stay. We were thankful for close proximity to these beautiful locations. The cabin was beautifully decorated for Christmas which made us feel at home while we were traveling the week before Christmas. Thanks to the owners for thoughtfully considering the travelers needs and generously accommodating. Our stay was full of treasured memories.

Additional information about rental rates

Booking Fee $35 + Tax
Cleaning $125 + Tax
Property Damage Protection $59
Tax Rate 6.75%

Rates are subject to change until reservation is confirmed. I would strongly recommend purchasing the $59 PDP versus the $1,500 deposit because by the time the credit card fees are taken out for both the payment and return of the deposit you end up paying more than $59.
