Looking for a venue? Our beautifully landscaped courtyard adjacent to the apartment is also available for rent — perfect for birthday parties, bridal or baby showers, networking mixers, or intimate gatherings.

Adjacent to Elko's downtown spaces. Local restaurants are steps away such as the Historic Star Hotel & Restaurant, Elkoyote, Luciano's, Cook's Steakhouse & Saloon, The Coffee Mug, Machi's Saloon & Grill, plus Ogi Deli - Bar and Pintxos. The Elko Convention & Visitors Authority, Conference Center, the Northeastern Nevada Museum, and the Elko County Fairgrounds are all a short 7-8 minute drive from the property.

We are thrilled to welcome guests to this beautifully restored piece of Elko history in the Historic Hotel West Building in downtown Elko.

*Please note - The Historic Hotel West Building was built around the turn of the century 1900. She is a beauty. Please remember her historic past as there are imperfections one would find with age. For example: our original wood floors are not perfect. However, she has been updated to ensure safety and comfort for those who visit. The incredible antique stove is decommissioned for safety reasons. We do have an electric skillet and electric burners for use to cook making the kitchen functional.
Many properties in Elko do not have central air conditioning since the climate is notoriously dry and cool even in summer. There are many windows and ceiling fans. The apartment has gas heat to keep it snug and cozy in the cooler months.
Our prices include all fees. No hidden fees.

About the host

Host profile image
Hello I am Marcella and my daughter is Jessica. I live in Texas and she is in Elko NV. I have been hosting a property in San Antonio for 8 years. When we saw the Historic Hotel West was for sale we knew we had to have it! We both love the rich history of Elko and wanted to provide a beautiful space for guests to be steeped in Western American history.

Why they chose this property

Well....It's just a cool spot sitting on Silver street near one of the oldest and historic hotels and restaurants around.
We love the building and our goal is to continue improving it to allow for a local place where events can be held.

What makes this property unique

It's historic. It has a deep, rich history belonging to Elko. Interstate 80 is part of the California Trail. This place was a part of the gateway to many of our ancestors who made there way West from the Eastern US. Did you know about the California Trail Interpretive center just outside of town? You should check it out!
