The town has excellent, family-run shops. There’s a bakery right next door, so the scent of fresh-baked goods fills the air early in the morning. There are two specialty butcher shops and a flower and gift shop. Very close by is a sports and recreation center with tennis courts and a soccer field, children’s playgrounds, and a beautiful pond area.

The vacation rental in Burgwald-Bottendorf is located in the nature-rich district of Waldeck-Frankenberg. Excellent biking and hiking trails are right nearby and guarantee relaxation and enjoyment in the most beautiful natural surroundings.
The neighboring town is Frankenberg, named after Philipp Soldan, with its inviting historic old town and good shopping and dining options. The beautiful Lake Eder and the Kellerwald-Edersee National Park are about 15–25 km away. About 30 km away, you’ll find the impressive historic university town of Marburg, the district and Hanseatic city of Korbach, the spa town of Bad Wildungen, and the Sauerland region with the towns of Winterberg and Willingen.
Road connections are excellent, and the nearest train stations are located in neighboring towns.
