Two bathrooms offer convenience and comfort throughout your stay. Whether you’re relaxing indoors or going out for lakeside sunset walk, this comfortable home provides a welcoming retreat. Start or unwind your day on the large screened-in porch. Watch the deer in the yard, the golfers across the street, or the kids running and playing outside. 10 minutes away from all that Galesburg offers and the easy pace of life from another era.

This is our second home, and we spend many summer days visiting the space. This house is NOT a box-store-furnished investment property with Fast Furniture and no heart. It has been lovingly-curated with handcrafted furniture, decorations from our world-wide travels, and everything needed for us and our children (and you and your children) to actually live comfortably in a home away from home. If you like character and warmth, this may be the place for you.

Why they chose this property

This is the place where we grew up. We live full-time about 6 hours from the house, but we come back to visit as often as we can. The small community, the peace of the big yard, and the ability for our kids to roam free and play outside make this a wonderful place to call home (in our hearts).

Although the surrounding golf course and nearby brand new swimming pool are private, the club house that is a short walk, visible from the house, is open to the public. The convenience of breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack bar, and bar in walking distance from a country house allow us to have the peace of the countryside with the convenience of town.
