Located in Knox City, this house is a dream for guests seeking a relaxing getaway. With three bedrooms featuring a mix of twin, king, and full beds, there’s plenty of space for everyone to unwind comfortably. Two bathrooms make mornings easy and convenient. This enchanting house offers an awesome retreat where comfort meets the charm of the former Lee Smith Hereford Ranch from the 1950's. It has an awesome view of the west Texas landscape nestled among the native mesquite and cactus. The ranch is now the Tucker Ranch which raises commercial Angus cross-bred cattle. There is an abundance of coyote, wild pig, quail, turkey and deer. The ranch also sits in close proximity to numerous historical ranches including the Four Sixes Ranch, Pitchfork Ranch, and Matador Ranch. We are located in the heart of 'the Big Empty' which captures the full essence of ranch life.

Roy and Dorie Tucker were raised in agriculture but in much different settings. Roy is a 4th generation cattle rancher from Roosevelt Lake, Arizona while Dorie hales from the deep south, Centreville, Mississippi. "God has a plan and has guided our steps to reach this point" proclaims Dorie. Together they own and operate their family ranch in Knox City, Texas where they raise commercial Angus cross beef cattle. When asked what they do for fun, the reply is, "we work!" There is always job security in a ranching operation however, their "quality of lifestyle" is such a blessing.

Once the headquarters to the Lee Smith Hereford Ranch, the Guest House @ Tucker Ranch provides a small glimpse into the 1950's era when it was in full swing. The home sits among the mesquite trees and occasional roadrunner trotting through the grass. A long private drive to the home provides the traveler with a sense of seclusion with no neighbors in sight. Quite, tranquil, and native are proper descriptions of the homesite.
