Most cabins give you a place to stay… Mountain Majesty gives you a reason to never leave.
⭐ Welcome to Mountain Majesty. An incredible Smoky Mountain cabin rental, where it’s not just paradise… it’s Bearadise. The mountains are high, the vibes are higher, and your stress doesn’t stand a chance.
🌄 Featuring views from your private balconies so majestic, they’ll make your Instagram followers question their life choices and DM you “WHERE IS THIS?!”😄📸
This isn’t just a cabin—it’s your front-row seat to Tennessee'smost iconic scenery.
Mountain Majesty is one of the highest cabins in the community, because of this the driveway is pretty steep, typical for a true mountain retreat. It’s all part of reaching ONE OF THE MOST REWARDING VIEWS IN THE AREA. Completely worth the climb. It can be intimidating at first, But rest assured, after a couple of times, you'll get the hang of it, no problem ! Front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive cars perform best in the Smoky Mountains. Two-wheel drive pickup trucks don't do well because all the weight is in the front and so the rear wheels can spin. Low-clearance sporty-type cars may scrape their front spoilers at the base of the drive. If you are renting a car, a full-size front-wheel drive is suggested.
🏞️ Adventure begins the moment you arrive… You’re just minutes from: 🎡 The Island (6.5 mi) – where calories don’t count and neither does your shopping budget 🎢 Dollywood (8.4 mi) – screams, thrills, and “let’s go again!” energy 🌲 Gatlinburg (12 mi) – your gateway to waterfalls, wildlife, and “was that a bear or a really big dog?” 🐻 And yes… Cades Cove, white-water rafting, and epic hikes are basically calling your name.

Nice place but the driveway is very steep making unloading the vehicle a challenge. Great views!
Nice place with great views but the driveway and parking is definitely not for everyone.

Thank you for your feedback. Yes, the hill up to the driveway is steep, as disclosed in our listing and, although not always required, we highly recommend having 4WD or AWD and also a confident driver especially the first time up there. It does take some getting used to. Unfortunately, we can only make our guests aware of this and don't have a lot of control over the landscape. We do also offer overflow parking at the bottom of the hill (as shown in our listing photos) for any guests that are not comfortable driving to the top (the cabin is about a 200 yard walk up the steep hill, which is also not for everyone - some guests that have multiple vehicles will drive the other guests up if they cannot walk up the hill or if there is not enough room to park all of their vehicles in the driveway). Thank you again for your feedback and we do hope you will come back and stay with us again soon.
Kind regards,
Yvonne & John
Gorgeous view, great cabin. Only downside was the driveway. Owner stated it was steep, so nothing was hidden about that. But, going up was an adventure. If you have a small SUV/pickup with all wheel or 4 wheel drive, there won't be an issue at all. My F250 had no problem, but there's nowhere to park that large a vehicle on top of the hill. Cabin was great though.

Thank you for your feedback. We are so glad you enjoyed our beartastic mountain views! Yes, the hill is steep and it is disclosed in our listing and private message to our guests, as you mentioned. This landscape is the sacrifice we made to have our cabin high up in the resort to get those awesome views.
Parking is tight, but one large vehicle can fit in the parking lot if it is parked a specific way. If you have a large vehicle and need guidance regarding the angle to park it so it fits, please just ask us so we can try to help. If you have smaller vehicles, we have fit a total of 3 in the driveway, but they must be perpendicular to the parking area to fit (see our photos in the listing for an example showing this or please ask us - we love to hear from our guests and especially want to help you enjoy your stay and be comfortable). We have a GMC sierra (a little smaller than the F250), but we found a way to part it so it fits - but only 1 'large' vehicle will fit in that spot. As mentioned in the other review responses, we do have overflow parking at the bottom of the hill in case you cannot fit or are uncomfortable driving up.
We would love to know more about what you liked about your stay besides the view and what we can do to improve the guest experience (we cannot fix the hill and that is what most of these reviews already discuss so we would like more helpful information for our future guests). Thank you again for staying with us and please come visit us again soon! Kind Regards, Yvonne & John
We loved the location. So close to the NP but not right in the middle of the tourist traps of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. We had plenty of space in the house and the porches are great. The view rocked! While the listing does warn about the steepness of the driveway, we were unprepared for exactly how steep it is! We just ended up parking in the overflow as we were more comfortable with that and walking up the drive. But otherwise I was pretty happy with the house. The owners were VERY accessible via text. We didn't really have any issues just a few questions that were able to be sorted out in texting.

Thank you for staying with us! We are glad you enjoyed your stay. The hill is intimidating for some. Many of our guests get used to it after the first couple of times though. It is best to have AWD or 4-wheel drive, which makes it much easier. We're glad you had a good time and hope you'll come back and visit us again in the future!

The parking was describe perfectly in the listing but I don't think anything that would have been written would have prepared you for what it was actually like. Very difficult loading and unloading the vehicles. The cabin was dirty but we did have cereal in the floor of one of the bottom bedrooms and a spoon under the bed. The bottom floor bathroom could use some TLC as well. The lighting in the kitchen could use some help too.

Thank you for your feedback. We do warn everyone about the steep hill and most of our guests get the hang of it after a couple of times up and down. Unfortunately, you’re reviewing a part of the area that we don’t own and have no control over. I wish I would’ve known you had any issues during your stay, as I didn’t hear from you at all after you arrived and I ask all guests to let me know if issues so they can be addressed. I could’ve asked the housekeeper come back. However, my business partner and I were just there and spent several hours doing a deep clean. She may have just not seen the spoon under the bed and it’s odd there was cereal on the floor. Could maybe one of the kids with you done that? I’m not sure if you saw this on arrival or sometime after that.
Regarding the lighting, we recently added under shelf lighting in the kitchen, based on previous feedback. Not sure if you just didn’t see the switches (we just labeled them for better visibility) or if there is something else you’re looking for. I don’t see anything positive here so I’m not sure you enjoyed your stay. I’m sorry that it was so bad for you. If I had known I could’ve tried to make it better but if I don’t know I can’t help. If you’re a potential future guest reading this, please know that I want to help if there’s a problem. I’ll look into the kitchen lighting and ask for feedback from other guests as well to see if there’s anything we can do to make things better for our guests.
This cabin is awesome. My family and I enjoyed our stay. It's not far from all the attractions in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. The views from the balconies are so beautiful. There was plenty of room for the 9 of us. Everyone loved the pool table and jacuzzi. The cabin was very clean and fully stocked with everything you might need while you are there. Management was very helpful and quick to respond to any questions we had. I would definitely stay again.

Thank you for staying with us and for your kind feedback. We are glad you enjoyed your stay, along with our cabin amenities! Also, John and I are the owners so you were dealing directly with us. We do not make our guests work with any management companies, which allows us to ensure you have a comfortable stay if you allow us to do so. Thank you for reaching out to us. Please come stay with us again some time in the near future! Kind regards, Yvonne & John
It was a very steep climb up to the cabin, so be prepared. We parked in the overflow area below. The cabin itself was clean, quiet, comfortable and well equipped. We enjoyed the hot tub and 3 decks overlooking the mountains. Our group was two grandparents, three 30-somethings and one 4 year old. The climb up was a challenge for the grandparents, so they rigged a rope to help pull up. Otherwise, it was a nice experience at the Beartastic Cabin.

Thank you for staying with us and for your kind feedback. We do disclose the steep hill (which is really part of a mountain) in our listing, as well as our private messages to our guests. Our listing also recommends/suggests AWD or 4WD and a confident driver, especially if guests have elderly with them. Good tire treads are also recommended. We are glad you enjoyed the beautiful views that you get from driving up the hill (and glad you found a way up on the days you did not drive your car up), as well as some of our other cabin amenities. Please come stay with us again some time! Kind regards, Yvonne & John
The views are spectacular ❤️ Accommodations were great overall. However, I do believe the cleaning services being used are missing a few things, i.e. abundance of cobwebs inside and on the balconies, floors not swept well, and baseboards need attention. The tv remote system was confusing - instructions would be helpful. And the hill, whew, I think there needs to be an additional disclaimer for older visitors. My mother struggled significantly in trying to get up it on foot due to their truck not fitting in the parking next to cabin. We had to shuttle them up and down to their truck due to this. Please don’t take this as a complaint list as we had a wonderful time… however we wanted the owners to be aware😊

Thank you for your feedback. We are so glad you enjoyed your stay. The outside balconies are cleaned by our pest control service (not our cleaning service). The summer months are extremely busy so I have to squeeze in their visits when the cabin is empty. Unfortunately, they were not able to get there until the 23rd of July (4 days after you checked out). Our housekeeper is usually pretty good in the cleaning category and I apologize if there was an issue with the floors. Also, we plan a deep clean after the summer months to get anything extra (like the baseboards). We also noticed when we bought the cabin that someone put clearcoat over the dust on the baseboards in the upper level so it is impossible to remove and 'appears' dusty. I don't know if this is what you saw. I did not hear from you about this so I had to assume everything was fine in that regard. It is important to notify your host of any issues during your stay so they can be addressed. Hosts usually prefer to try to fix them instead of having them be a public 'surprise' in a review. We take pride in our cabin and want to make sure everyone is comfortable so please do let us know BEFORE you leave. So all we can do is say that we are very sorry that you experienced these issues. Yes, the hill is steep and it is disclosed in our listing and private message to our guests with several reminders. We do send a lot of info. and recommend that it is all read through before your check-in (maybe the warning was missed in this case - not sure). it seems like the more information we share with our guests regarding the hill, the more that shows up in our reviews. We are aware of this for sure! This landscape is the sacrifice we made to have our cabin high up in the resort to get those awesome views. If you have an elderly relative, we definitely recommend a 4WD or AWD vehicle to ascend the hill to transport them - as long as the tires are good, it is not really an issue for people. The trick is to always put your vehicle in the lowest gear possible before making the ascent. We would love to know more about what you liked about your stay besides the view. Thank you again for staying with us and please come visit us again soon! Kind Regards, Yvonne & John
Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad you enjoyed your stay! Thank you for choosing our cabin for your family vacation! Please come back and stay with us again sometime! Kind regards,
Cabin was nice. Main living room and kitchen were smaller than we anticipated. There were 3 levels and 3 decks with beautiful views. Large window in dining area with great view. They mean it when they say the hill is steep! After first trip up and down, it got more comfortable. Cabin owners are very nice and attentive by email and text. We felt very “at home”.

Thank you for your feedback. We do advertise the square footage of the cabin and have photos of everything on our listing page so you can see what it looks like before you stay. The living room and kitchen are in an open floor plan so I am not sure what was expected for size (this is very unique feedback that we have not received before so I would like to better understand it). We are glad you enjoyed your stay and most importantly, the beautiful views of the mountains. Thank you for staying with us and thank you for your feedback.

Thank you for staying with us! We are glad to hear you enjoyed your stay! When the weather is dry, most cars will make it up the hill. We do recommend AWD and 4WD to make it easier and also recommend shifting into low gear before heading up it to limit the effort on the transmission. We've actually gotten up there (in dry weather) with our front-wheel drive Nissan Sentra (driven by our teenage daughter) and also with our rear-wheel drive, 2003 BMW 330ci. We appreciate your kind feedback and would love to have you back to visit us again! Thank you! John & Yvonne
We took a family vacation (8 adults and a 9 month old) the week after Christmas. The Christmas decorations were a great touch. There was plenty of room in the cabin for everyone and the views were absolutely fantastic. The cabin's location was great. We spent a lot of time in the park and in Gatlinburg. The drive up to the cabin is very steep and the parking is a challenge. Please heed the owner's suggestions regarding the need for 4 wheel drive or all wheel drive vehicles. We had ice and snow and had to use our 4 wheel drive trucks to get to the cabin. The owner was very responsive and patient with our questions and needs.

Thank you for staying with us! We are glad to hear you enjoyed your stay! We do leave ice melt on the porch during winter months for our guests to use as needed (on the stairs and/or on the steep hill). When it's dry, most cars will make it up the hill. We do recommend shifting into low gear before heading up it to limit the effort on the transmission. Thank you for your feedback and thank you for staying with us. We disclose the hill to everyone in hopes that people don't give us a lower rating b/c of that hill - we have nothing to hide in that regard (this is the trade-off for the beautiful views we have). There is nothing we can do to fix the hill, as it is part of the mountain terrain. We do recommend AWD of 4WD in the winter months and also using low gear when you drive up (drop automatics into D1). When it's dry, other types of cars can get up there (see our photos in our listing of 3 guest cars parked in the driveway). We've gotten up it in our front-sheel drive 2015 Nissan Sentra and our 2003 rear-wheel drive BMW 330Ci.
Also, we do have pest control treat our cabin once per month for indoor insects. We do the best we can to try to keep them out. Unfortunately, some of our guests choose to leave the door open (especially near the hot tub) that allows the Japanese beetles to enter the cabin in large amounts. They can also get in through some other areas of the cabin. If these become a nuisance during your stay, we can all pest control to make an extra trip to address it (we have a contract with them). We do need to know if it's a bother and we will take care of you. Fortunately, these bugs are seasonal and aren't always around. I hope you enjoyed your stay and would love to have you back again in the future. Thank you!
Kind Regards,
Yvonne & John

I'll start off with the parking. It alone is a deal breaker. Been to many cabins in the area and for a 4 bedroom cabin there is enough room to safely park 2 vehicles(of you can make it up the hill). 1 of our parties started to slide back down.
Could have spent an extra 2k when you had a backhoe up top building the cabins to flatten out more parking space.
Cleanliness: bring you own sheets!! This should be common place anyway. The pillows smelled of sweat and the couches felt dirty. The stairs leading to the bottom floor are carpet. Upon opening the door to the stairs you are slapped in the face with a sour musty smell. You can see where dirty feet have gone up and down the stairs for some time(this is not caused from 1 groups stay) and has accumulated over time. The bottom carpet was also stained and not cleaned. Every single shower was dirty and needed to be cleaned upon our arrival.
Location: honestly when it comes to being nearby to attractions and restaurants this cabin is great! Far enough away from tons of traffics but minutes away from many hot spots.
View: I have only stayed in one other cabin that had a better view. Aside from the balconies needing to be sprayed for insects and cleaned up it was amazing.
Overall: 2 out of 5 stars. I do not think I will be a return customer.
I want to give this a 1 out of 5 to be honest. All of the mattresses for the beds are hard as rocks and definitely old. HORRIBLE SLEEP.

Thank you for staying with us and thank you for your candid feedback. We are very sorry that you had an experience like this. We are also very surprised to learn of it this way, as we ask our guests to let us know if they have any issues during their stay and we only heard from you when you arrived in the resort to ask for directions. If we don’t know about issues, we can’t fix them to make your stay more enjoyable. Let’s see if we can address your concerns below:
Regarding the resort’s steep hill up to the cabin, yes, it is very steep and is disclosed in our listing. Unfortunately, we own the postage stamp area of the cabin and not the landscaping around it and have little control over it. We did not build the resort and had no input when it was created. We only purchased this cabin from another owner last year (2019). All we can do is continue to disclose the steep hill in our listing and offer overflow parking for those uncomfortable with driving up it (as shown in the listing photos).
I am not sure of the issue with insects on the decks, as we have pest control treat our cabin (inside and outside) once per month. They will be there again on the 23rd of this month. We will check with you to see what issue you had so they can look for the problem and address it. As said, we can’t fix something if we don’t know there’s a problem (we are 12 hours away)!
Regarding the bedding, we are looking into replacing the mattresses in the very near future. We are requesting quotes today.
In regards to cleanliness and the downstairs carpet, we just hired new housekeeping staff (3 weeks ago) and they have not yet had a chance to do a thorough, deep clean. We can also assure you that the sheets are washed and replaced after every checkout. We just purchased several brand new sheets for the cabin 3 weeks ago. We have a deep clean planned for October 25th when we have a night free of guest reservations. We are having the carpet professionally cleaned that day, as well. With 2020 being so disappointing to everyone, we didn’t want to cancel any reservations and add more disappointment. Hopefully, after we get the deep clean done and the bedding replaced, our future reviews will be much, much better than this one and more like our previous ones.
Kind Regards,
Yvonne & John

We are looking into improving the mattresses and furniture (we’ve already purchased a new Amish dining table last year), hopefully sometime in the very near future. Thank you for staying with us and we do hope you’ll come back and stay with us again in the near future.
Kind regards,
Yvonne & John
Very beautiful place to stay! Was not very hard to find. The hill is very steep as warned.

My family had a great time at this cabin. It met all of our needs. The owner was great and responsive. Please do not underestimate the hill mentioned by the owner. It is very steep! I would not recommend this cabin for anyone that has trouble walking.

Thank you for your feedback. The steep hill (fully disclosed in our listing) is intimidating to some, but others do get used to it after driving it a couple of times. We have gotten up there with a front wheel drive car (e.g. 2015 Nissan Sentra) with no issues, as long as tires are good and it is not raining so you don't necessarily have to have AWD for 4WD, but it does make it a lot easier. For those uncomfortable or during the heavy rains, or with older vehicles, the overflow parking is available at the bottom of the hill for your convenience, but as mentioned, not recommended for people with issues walking up hills. As an alternative to walking, we have had guests (with multiple vehicles) that can get up the hill provide rides to the rest of their group up to the cabin. I wish we could fix the hill, but unfortunately, that one is out of our control. Thank you for staying with us and for your feedback! We appreciate it and hope you'll come back and stay with us again sometime. Yvonne & John
Couldn't ask for better views or location. Would definitely stay here again

About the host
Hosted by Mary Anselmi
HelIo, my name is Mary. My family and I have been coming to Sevierville for years now and have always wanted a place there to call our own. We truly love being hosts because it gives us the chance to share something that means so much to us—our cabin. This isn’t just a place to stay, it’s a space filled with memories, quiet moments, and everything we love about getting away and slowing down. From cozy mornings with coffee to peaceful evenings unwinding, this cabin has been a special retreat for us, and it brings us so much joy to open it up to others. Our hope is that when you’re here, you’ll feel the same sense of comfort, relaxation, and connection that we do every time we visit. Whether you’re here to explore, recharge, or simply enjoy the surroundings, we’ve put a lot of care into making sure your stay feels welcoming and memorable. We genuinely can’t wait for you to experience it—and we’re confident you’ll love it just as much as we do.
