Our house is located in the beautiful resort town of Finsterau. It’s the ideal starting point for many recreational activities in both winter and summer. Winter in Finsterau is guaranteed to have snow, which is why the region is jokingly referred to as the “Snow Hole.” Cross-country skiers can reach the entrance to the town’s very well-maintained network of trails within a five-minute walk. Guided tours are offered for snowshoers. However, you can also explore the entire network of marked hiking trails on your own. Twice a week, a floodlit cross-country trail and an illuminated toboggan run are available. The alpine ski area, located 10 km away and featuring a children’s ski school, is ideal for families. The Bavarian Forest National Park, right on your doorstep, guarantees impressive nature experiences. The wilderness of the national park, the beautiful local rural landscape, and a natural swimming lake with a playground offer every guest everything they need for a relaxing vacation. A wide range of guided hikes is available upon request. Interesting programs for your children are offered at the open-air museum and the Hans-Eisemann-Haus. Our vacation apartment was planned, designed, and furnished with great attention to detail: the furniture comes from our own carpentry shop, and the wood used was harvested from our own forest. In addition to the living area, this non-smoking apartment features a double bedroom, two single bedrooms, a bathroom with a shower and toilet, a separate toilet, and an on-site sauna. You’ll pay the total amount in cash upon arrival. Check-in is from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Check-out is by 10:00 AM. Keys will be handed over in person upon arrival. The visitor’s tax of 2.50 EUR/night (per adult) and 1.25 EUR/night (per child aged 6 and older) will be charged separately on-site. Other fees: 10.00 EUR per visit to the sauna. Pets are not allowed.
