Casa Papelillo is a private, fully staffed oceanfront villa on the cliffs of Chamela Bay in Costalegre, Jalisco, Mexico, ten minutes from Careyes. Rented whole for up to 12 guests across 5 suites, it stands 20 metres from the Pacific, on the edge of the UNESCO Chamela–Cuixmala Biosphere Reserve, with private access to four beaches. Designed by AD100 architect Alex Pössenbacher; interiors by Amathea.
Butler, chef and two housekeepers; humpback whales from the terrace, November to February.
Celebrations and events beyond 12 guests welcome on request.
The fully staffed villa offers four distinct suites, an ensuite library/media room, infinity pool and open-air living areas beneath a palapa.
The space
Casa Papelillo combines Mexican artistry with contemporary comfort.
Each suite offers its own private terrace, Pacific ocean view, and en-suite bathroom — A/C, fan, Bose sound system, WiFi, Smart TV, minibar, tea/coffee set, safe, and yoga mats.
Other things to note
Guests enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner services daily. Our chef curates menus inspired by traditional Mexican flavors and local ingredients — seafood caught that morning, tropical fruits from nearby orchards, and handmade tortillas crafted with care.
Beach picnics, home barbecues, bonfire dinners are also available on demand — each prepared and styled with attention to detail. Please let us know of any dietary restrictions.
