We absolutely loved our stay at this dream property. It was very clean, well maintained and the seclusion of the property is amazing. We felt very safe and secure on the property and loved getting to see all of the wildlife that roamed the area. We truly can’t wait to stay there again for a longer visit. Of all the places I’ve stayed from VRBO, this is definitely my favorite.
Four senior ladies took a quick vacation the weekend of Oct. 14 to Mentone for the Fall Festival. The Rocky Waters property exceeded ALL of our expectations. It was almost like visiting a private park with 75 acres to explore. The two bedrooms were very nice. One bathroom was manageable. Kitchen was well-appointed, and the fixings for Smores was very appreciated. We enjoyed the firepit with them indeed. We loved that there were horses next door but stayed away as directed. We met the owner of the horses and she was delightful. As my husband was an equine surgeon, we had some great discussions. I will say that anyone visiting, take your time on the dirt road and curves. Do not get in a hurry. Prepare to see a lot of deer and turkeys! This is a nature lover's paradise for sure. I am already trying to plan our next trip to this property where we can hopefully stay longer. It is not far at all from downtown Mentone, and so many beautiful trails and views. Thank you to Vanessa for answering all of our questions. In the home is a binder with great information about the house as well as the surrounding area. LOVED Rocky Waters. Thank you!!!!
We enjoyed our stay! The house was perfect. The sunroom was our favorite place to enjoy breakfast and dinner. We also enjoyed the fire pit. The host had the supplies for S’mores waiting for us and we enjoyed making some! The whole house was very clean and welcoming! Thank you for such a great weekend get away!
