Small but charming
A small, cozy attic studio for 1–2 people. Our Apartment No. 4 is located on the 1st floor of House West and faces south/east. Like the other apartments at TIDE4, it has been freshly renovated.
The combined living/dining/sleeping area is small but still offers enough space for 2 people. A comfortable little corner sofa and an armchair invite you to relax. The bed is set in an alcove and features a comfortable hybrid mattress. The kitchenette is equipped with, among other things, an oven/microwave, a dishwasher, and a Nespresso coffee machine.

The Outdoor Area:
TIDE4 is situated slightly elevated on a 2,000-square-meter property. In 2024, we began redesigning the area around the house and transforming it into a natural dune garden. Sand, dune grass, and pine bushes. In between, there are boardwalks and beach chairs. By the way, each apartment has its own beach chair available.
The Location:
Our guesthouse is located on a quiet side street in Wittdün. Wittdün is like a small tip at the southern end of the island. This is where the ferries from the mainland and from Föhr arrive. And nowhere else on the island is the sea as close as it is here. This location “between the seas” is what makes it so special. On one side, barely 100 meters away, lies the Wadden Sea; on the other, the expansive Kniepsand and Amrum’s endless dune landscape. But the small town center of Wittdün—with all the shops for daily needs, restaurants, and our favorite beach bar overlooking the vast beach—is also not far away.
The Island:
Amrum is all about peace and slowing down. The endless beaches, the vast horizon, and the unspoiled natural beauty are good for the soul and guarantee a relaxing vacation. Yet life never gets boring on this small island in the heart of the UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site, the Wadden Sea. You can set out on wonderful walks right from the house. The Wadden Sea and the expansive Kniepsand—one of Europe’s largest sandy beaches—are just a few minutes’ walk away. This is also where the Dune Nature Trail begins—one of the many boardwalks that branch out across Amrum’s unique dune landscape. A long walk through the woods is also possible, as Amrum, with approximately 200 hectares of forest, is actually the most forested island on the North Sea coast. Those who’d like to explore Amrum by bike can ride all the way around the island via the well-developed network of bike paths. One of the highlights is undoubtedly a mudflat hike. On the guided tours from Amrum to Föhr, you can explore the fascinating world of the Wadden Sea and perhaps even spot a seal or two.
