Once we found the home, it was extraordinary. We enjoyed the wildlife visits probably the most. With the birds and four moose stopping by to greet us. We enjoyed our trip to the Homestead and even ran in to Otto who was a delight to visit with. We enjoyed the history videos and seeing all the places that we had seen on the show “Alaska the last frontier.”

Probably the best cabin I’ve stayed in. Everything is super clean, well maintained, and it feels like a home. The host was very responsive and thoughtful. They brought an extra set of fans to us during our stay which was so kind. Would highly recommend a stay here. It’s 25 mins to the spit as well which works well.

Easy access, plenty of parking, clean and spacious lodge, stocked with everything you need. Fantastic views, fire pit, spacious interior. Easy drive to shopping and multiple excursions. It is somewhat isolated, but hosts were very communicative and readily available, stopping by almost daily to check on us and offer assistance if needed. Beds were plentiful and extremely comfortable with plenty of bedding, feather soft pillows, extra blankets and fans if needed. They even have extra robes, which we made use of. There were 4 adults in our party, but could easily have accommodated 8 more comfortably. An incredible vacation. The Kilcher family are kind and accommodating. We thank them for a lifetime of memories and hope to visit again!! We spent a week and loved every minute! Thank you

Beautiful house in a secluded area but only 20 minutes from downtown Homer. House was large enough for my family of 4 adults and in a very quiet area. Kitchen was well stocked for meal prep. The family room was very comfortable for relaxing after a long day of touring the area. There were 3 moose, a mama and 2 calves nearby. They even slept two of the 4 nights in the backyard. This was a thrill for my photographer daughter. Our son enjoyed playing the piano and we had several games of disc golf in the backyard in the evening. Washer and dryer were very helpful for our trip as this was the halfway point. Owner was very responsive to all questions. Will definitely stay here again if we are in the Homer area.

This house was great for my family about 15-20 minutes from Homer and had a rustic feel but with all the amenities. The host was very responsive and we would love to stay here again.

We had a great stay. The property was farther from the Homer Spit than we would have prefered but that was not a huge issue. We enjoyed the privacy and the wildlife.

We really enjoyed our stay at Caribou Meadows. The home was roomy, with all the amenities for comfort. We especially enjoyed learning the Kilcher family history as early settlers of the region. We only wished we could have stayed longer in this great, peaceful setting.

LOVE this property! I would highly recommend this VRBO, it was incredibly relaxing, serene, and peaceful. We had a minor hiccup at check in and the property owner was incredibly responsive and helpful to rectify the situation. Looking forward to visiting again!

Great Stay!

We spent 3 days at this beautiful, quiet property. We had everything we needed and a lot of outdoor space with a great view to enjoy. If we had to do it again, we would have made a day out of going down to the beach on the property. We used the fire pit every evening and had a moose and her calf join us the final evening and morning.

Beautiful cabin with great views

This cabin had great views, and plenty of room for the whole family. Catkin came by and introduced herself, and answered any questions we had about the property. Overall, a wonderful stay. Highly recommended.
