Ce chalet historique a Ă©tĂ© rĂ©cemment mis Ă  jour avec de nouveaux appareils et accessoires de cuisine et de salle de bain, des tĂ©lĂ©viseurs LED, une connexion Wi-Fi et une terrasse agrandie. Son trĂšs moderne et idĂ©alement situĂ© au cƓur de la broche Homer qui vous met Ă  quelques pas (littĂ©ralement) des boutiques uniques, des restaurants les mieux notĂ©s, des vues magnifiques sur les glaciers, des chartes de pĂȘche de classe mondiale, des plages de sable parfaites pour le mariage et tout ce qui fait Homer incroyable. N'oubliez pas de garder vos camĂ©ras prĂȘtes pour la faune. Les loutres, les otaries, les aigles et mĂȘme quelques baleines semblent de temps en temps poser. Des bateaux qui passent aux vues du coucher de soleil volcanique, ce chalet offre tout.


Notre cabine a des entrées extérieures séparées (uniquement) pour le haut et le bas de la cabine. Cela permet également de louer la cabine en série si vous n'avez pas besoin d'accueillir 7 personnes.

Si vous avez des dates sur notre calendrier dites réservées, veuillez demander car certaines personnes louent un seul étage.

We have stayed here a few times, and it is always great! My kids love the upstairs and having their own space. We love having our own space downstairs and the convivence of the food and coffee places next door is top notch! WE will defiantly be back next summer!

Top of the world experience !

From the moment we pulled up everyone had big smiles! It was a privilege to stay here and be immersed in the action taking place all around on the Homer Spit. The beds were welcoming and comfortable and the kitchenette well stocked for coffee on the deck that we will never forget while overlooking the Bay. Everyone could pick something to do that suited them most and we could all meet up to share some experiences too because the location offers a tremendous diversity of experiences. Altogether top notch!

Would stay again!

Check in was super easy and it’s in a great spot! Very comfortable beds. We did run out of hot water in the shower at night and one of the garbages had trash in it when we arrived. Otherwise we loved it. Would stay again!

4 Guys Fishing Trip

Property was small but totally functional for 4 good sized guys, two upstairs, two down. Location was very comfortable, had everything we needed and location on the spit is awesome! Very pleased, will look to land this treasure next time we come!

Right on boardwalk

The house was very comfortable. We all slept great. The decor is cute. The location is tops. Just a few things that should be noted. One thing not noted in the description is that the house is literally a store front on the board walk. I didn’t mind, but some people might, and it would have been good to know. People are walking right by your sleeping head until midnight. Also, the three single beds are upstairs and you have to go outside to access the room. Would have been nice to know. Luckily my kids are big enough that it wasn’t a problem but if you had little kids it might be an issue. Lastly, make sure you take notice of the deposit required. Over all I enjoyed the property but I thought there were some pretty big details that should have been in the description.

Cute cozy spot

We were so excited to reach our destination in Homer and realize that we would be staying in the center of the action right on the boardwalk on the spit! We had gorgeous weather which meant a gorgeous view of the surrounding mountains. While the spot is cozy, it worked well for our group of 6 adults and had everything we needed for our one night stay. The e only minor suggestion would be black out curtains on the main floor to help with sleep in summer. Thank you for a great time in Homer!

Perfect spot to access Kachemak

Such a cute house right on the beach with an incredible view. Next door to restaurants and 2 minutes from Kachemak ferries and taxis. Loved it!!

Wouldn't go back

It was kind of cute but wouldn't go back there again. There is no privacy because it's right on the strip in the middle of restaurant shops and the bed was very uncomfortable and I could smell sweat off the sheets. Pretty gross.

Great location on the boardwalk. Great food options right next door. Saw orcas and otters from the beach off the back porch. Comfy place to lay your head after a day exploring.

Right in the heart of the spit action! Kids loved low tide for skipping rocks and finding cool creatures. We saw eagles, a sea lion we named "Sparky", loons, king salmon, star fish, jellyfish, and crabs. The front board walk has access to coffee, food, gifts, and games. Everything is in walking distance on the spit. Recommend sleep mask & ear plugs which helped us unplug from the action. Coffee and breakfast at BBs was great.

Fun little place!

This very well maintained property has an ideal location! My sons loved having a separate space and we all enjoyed sitting out on the upper deck the first day with ice cream we got from the shop 2 doors down. Safeway grocery and a great laundromat are just a quick 10 minute drive and a fishing lagoon is across the street or walk 10 min and fish on the end of the Spit. The property is clean, adorably decorated and has all the basics for cooking. The 2 bathrooms are awesome! We also enjoyed watching the tide come up under the back deck—wild how large the tide changes were! Weather for our stay was cold and rainy but we were cheered by the Wheelhouse‘s coziness and heaters!

The Spit

Great/unique location right over the water! The waves crashing under you lull you into a deep sleep; woke up to otters floating out back! Well-appointed unit with everything you could need for a stay on the Spit. (Highly recommend the restaurant next door “Fresh Catch” terrific food and excellent service.) I was traveling with my husband, and three adult sons- plenty of room for everyone and their gear. We would absolutely stay at, and recommend, Wheelhouse.

Right in the heart of the Homer Spit, on this boardwalk alone you will find: Food (from 4 restaurants including world-class entrees, artisan dogs, Thai food and ice cream), Fun (boardwalk games, a bubble station, beach bonfires and the swings underneath) Unique shops (with sea salt. t-shirts, art galleries and a candy shop) and best of all Memory Makers (our cottage for great getaway, photo stops with Big Bear or a submarine, the kiddie boat and even a tattoo parlour).

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

The decor is intended to mimic the inside of a ship (hence the name, The Wheelhouse) and it feels so appropriate when you hear the waves just outside your door lapping on the shoreline. The view has been described as “amazing”, “unbelievable”, “incredible” and “breathtaking”. It is what you will fall asleep to and awake with each day. You may even catch a glimpse of a gorgeous bald eagle sitting on one of the rooftops, a cuddly otter floating by at almost any hour of the day or whale spout that can keep you focused on the ocean for so long you may forget time, so have your camera ready!
