This pet friendly cabin was the perfect spot for a last minute getaway to Whidbey Island. Eventhough the cabin wasn't directly on the beach, the views were amazing and it was only a 2-3 minute walk to a gorgeous beach that seemed to go on forever. A plus for the property was that it was fenced to keep my dog safe. Would love to stay here again in the future.

Excellent! Comfortable and an owner that made it easy. Bruce made EXTRA effort to teach us where, what, when, made Whidby Is. So very special. Views to die for, the beach at your back door. Stairs are a little tricky for an 80 year old but well worth the walk down. THANKS! The very best VRBO stay we have had!

If you're looking for the perfect place for a romantic getaway, or you just want a jumping off point for the Olympic Peninsula, this lovely beach cottage is an ideal choice. An expansive deck offers beautiful water views, although you can meander down the trail and put your feet in the water within a couple of minutes. It also offers a fire table, bbq, and table with comfy chairs. The cottage is beautifully appointed with everything you need, so if your goal is to simply enjoy the quiet, you'll never need to leave! The bed and pillows were super comfy and the living room was furnished with great seating for lounging around, reading, or watching TV. We enjoyed the nightly barking and growling of the seals out on the rocks, the croaking of a frog that seemed to start each night at 5pm and finish his show by 5:30p. We even saw a sea otter swim by! Our host Peggy walked up right as we were unloading our suitcases, gave us the kind of advice you only get from a local, and then, was invisible for the rest of our stay. We'd highly recommend this cottage to anyone, and hope to stay again sometime in the future!

We loved everything about our stay. The cottage was perfect for two, had all the amenities we were after, and the location was ideal if you’re looking for peace and quiet with an astounding view. Our stay was 7 days and we’d planned excursions to Seattle, Victoria, whale watching, etc but we ended up staying local enjoying the hiking trails, small town lunches, and walking out our door and just a few minutes to the beach. Communication with host was excellent! Highly recommend.

I struggle with sharing because it might get difficult to book. If you like feeling right at home, visit this cozy cottage decorated by a very tasteful beach hobbit. The effect is of a calming love hole with a view entirely without noise or nonsense.

We had an amazing time here and loved used the hot tub, as well as the small welcoming touches around the property. The coffee, fridge stocked with water, ice machine, and fresh baked cookies all made us feel right at home!!

The cottage is exactly as listed and was clean and sunny to boot! It felt like a breath of fresh air to walk into a vacation rental that feels cared for and loved by the owners and something that they are proud to share with others. The view is beautiful and I got to spend time in the lovely gazebo sketching and listening to kids playing on the beach. It was exactly what I needed. What’s not mentioned in the listing is that there is easy access to the beach, you can walk about a 5-10 minute walk, or be lazy like me and drive less than two minutes to the access point right around the corner. It’s an awesome little beach where you can kayak, walk, play in the water, etc. Susie and Howard are absolutely lovely and to be honest, I would have been happy hanging out with them and watching Masterpiece Theatre, I mean, they are that fun to be around. They are very respectful of their guests and try to give you as much privacy as you want. They are wealth of information if you’re looking for something to do around Irondale and Port Townsend, so don’t hesitate to ask! Overall, I highly recommend this little cottage and would gladly go back for another visit!
