Cozy winter weekend with friends

  • 5 of 5

We spent 3 nights with a couple of families at this warm, cozy and comfortable Berkshire home. We had plenty of room for all - the kids took over the downstairs level and the adults played cards, made meals, and cozied up to the fire on the main floor.

There was snow but the driveway was plowed and ready for us. The house is close to Butternut and Otis Ridge which is where spent our days skiiing and tubing. Great Barrington is so close too but we were happy to hang back at the house.

Everything went smoothly from booking, to the instructions Richard sent, to getting around.

Monterey is a little beyond the Berkshires beaten track but its worth it - perfect for family and friends. Great rental - hope to come back again!

A Berkshires Gem

  • 5 of 5

This is the second time that we stayed here and no doubt there will be a third. This home just has everything that we need. There is plenty of room, the kitchen is set up perfectly for all of our cooking needs and most importantly, the whole house is extremely clean. Richard, the owner was very quick to respond to any questions or concerns that we may have had. A true Gem in the middle of the Berkshires!!

Lovely Thanksgiving

  • 5 of 5

My siblings and I had a lovely four nights at this house to celebrate Thanksgiving. We especially loved the open floor plan on the main floor, so the folks in the kitchen could interact with those in the living and dining areas. Although we didn't use the lower level very much, we appreciated that there was a second, separate living space. It was so cozy to have a fire in the stove (and wood was plentiful), especially considering the snowfall. I would note that, if you are planning to watch a lot of movies, the TV on the main floor (where the comfy seating is) is very small/laptop screen size.

The house is on a very quiet road, on which we enjoyed taking walks and jogs. Richard was very responsive to any questions and helpfully alerted us to bring our snow boots! Last but not least, the beds were comfortable, and the house was very clean!

Thanks for hosting our holiday!

Luxury in the country!

  • 5 of 5

This house is beautiful. The pictures don't even do it justice. We recently spent a fall weekend here with two other couples and all of our children and it was the perfect spot to relax, cook, hike, and unwind with friends. It has everything you need in the kitchen and truly comfortable sleeping arrangements. The whole area is really peaceful and the house is just so cozy and spacious that you can all spread out and do your own thing. The big beautiful yard is perfect for the kids to explore and have fun in while you sit on the deck and relax. Don't miss the adorable village market which has great sandwiches and coffee! Many thanks to Richard for all of the great recommendations and for saving the day when we left some important stuffed animals behind! We definitely plan to come back soon.
