La maison General Williams est située à 3 km de Stockbridge Center et à 8 km de Lenox Center. À seulement 11 km du Mass Pike, il est facile de se rendre de Boston ou de New York.

Ceci est la location de vacances ultime. La maison est située à 2 miles de Stockbridge Center, sur 4 acres de terrain vierge avec deux patios et de grandes zones herbeuses pour le plaisir en plein air. Profitez de tout ce que les Berkshires offrent tout en restant dans le luxe avec votre famille et vos amis.

Ice House, qui est situé à côté de la propriété pour permettre aux groupes d'avoir une zone de fonction. La maison de glace comprend une cuisine de chef complète, une salle de bain complète et un grand espace de fonction ouvert. La musique peut être lue à partir d'iPod ou d'appareils distants. Endroit parfait pour un petit rassemblement - 50 personnes ou moins, un dîner spécial ou tout simplement traîner près de la piscine. Des frais supplémentaires sont requis pour accéder à cette zone. From start to finish, our trip was wonderful. The host was helpful in answering questions ahead of time. The house was ideal for our large group. It was clean, spacious, and located so close to many area attractions.

The house was absolutely beautiful and in a great location.A few recommendations: adding hangers in the closets would be helpful, and making it a little more kid-safe …One of the staircases is quite steep, so a safety gate would be a great addition.Other than that, the house is wonderful and we had a great stay.

Great for large groups

We were 9 and the house was perfect for us. There are many bedrooms and two kitchens that came in very handy with so many cooks. The house is laid out interestingly so it was fun trying to find our way around. My only caveat is that some things could have been a bit cleaner. The coffee pots were not clean (one still had grounds in the filter) and the oven in the main kitchen was filthy so we didn't use it. Other than that, the house was great.

Lori, Sorry the coffee makers were not cleaned out correctly. I wish you had let me know and we would have dealt with that immediately. I have alerted my cleaner and rest assured it will not occur in the future. Thank you for staying with us.

Roomy and well cleaned

This is a large property that would be appropriate for a large family gathering. There are several kitchens and a large pool house. There is a scattered problem with the Wifi in the house. We purchased a Wifi extender, but it didn't help. Our rating was affected by this.

Judy, Thanks for your stay, there was one room you had issue with in the entire house. However Spectrum is the provider and in the Berkshires it is the only choice. Perhaps the new infrastructure bill will provide more options to this in the future. Sorry you felt this was an issue for you . We appreciate your business.

Great for family gathering!

We gathered to celebrate a family members 60th birthday. The layout of this beautiful home was perfect! We utilized every room downstairs for our celebration. The many bedrooms and bathrooms were great for the privacy of each guest. My only suggestions would be 1. Bring extra towels. We had a lot of women in our group and one bath towel per person was not enough. 2. Bring extra blankets. Some guests in my party were cold. Had to take quilts from guests who were too warm. But even with the shuffling of blankets and the three I brought from home, we still didn't have enough. One guest wore their coat to bed. 3. If you are doing a lot of cooking for a large group bring a large pasta pot, frying pan and griddle (if you like pancakes) , And a few large serving dishes. The home is beautiful and was very clean. The owner responded very quickly to my questions.

Karen, thank you for staying with us. I am sorry to hear you were cold. The heat is set to adjust to 72 so this was surprising to learn about. Each bed has a sheet set, duvet, and a comforter, most are quilts. Additionally there are about four other quilts. Based on this I will bring more to the house. As a quilter I have a ton. Thank you again and so glad you had a great time.

Great Place!

This was a great place to house our family of 12 during the weekend of our daughter’s wedding. There was plenty of space for everyone to gather. The beds were comfortable and all the bedrooms upstairs had their own bathroom - so nice! The house made our weekend extra special. Definitely recommend!

Great, big house

Enjoyed our stay for a girls weekend. Big house, well kept up, with nice bedrooms and bathrooms, lots of places for us to hang out. Close to lots of things in the berkshires. Would definitely stay again.

Wonderful vacation

This was our family’s third summer staying at the General Williams Home. Despite it being the hottest week of the summer, we had a great vacation; spending lots of time in the pool and enjoying the spacious, air-conditioned house. It’s conveniently located with great places to walk, eat and shop nearby. There are so many interesting museums and activities within a short drive. Andrea is very accessible and quick to respond, a wonderful host. We look forward to staying here next summer!

My birthday gift to myself

I wanted a way to celebrate my 75th birthday where I could spend more than a couple of hours with my family. A cruise was out due to the prevalence of Covid. I looked around for properties nearby and settled on the Berkshires. The General Williams House stood out, because of its proximity to Tanglewood, Jacob’s Pillow, and the Norman Rockwell Museum. In addition, there were a lot of shops and restaurants in the area. The house had enough bedrooms to accomodate me, my three children, their spouses, and my two grandchildren. One of my brothers came, and there was an extra bedroom for him. With the exception of the first floor bedroom, all of the bedrooms had attached baths. We had plenty of room to spread out in the living room, or the room with the the billiard table. Outside, we gathered on the porch or the terrace, or around the pool. People could either hang out, or do their own thing in the surrounding towns. Many enjoyed hiking in the nearby state park, or on other trails in the neighborhood. And, they always returned to this very comfortable house. Another of my brothers, his wife and son stayed in Lenox, while two nieces stayed in Pittsfield. Unbeknown to me, my children planned a party in the ice house on the property. They arranged for food from a local restaurant, and got cakes made by the pastry chef at The Red Lion in town. We were fourteen in total, and there was plenty of room in the ice house to accomodate us. This is a very large property, and we had room to play bocce. I had a problem with my toilet seat, and it was quickly addressed. All it took was an email to the manager. We have rented other houses before, and this one falls high on the list.

Big Comfortable House for Large Family

Property was just as presented. Very clean and spacious! Lots of room for all of us to spreadout and relax. Lots of room for little ones to play in family room and dining room areas. Pool is not heated so unfortunately, we did not get to enjoy that amenity in June. Loved outdoor area to sit and relax on patio with family. Also enjoyed the room with the pool table and another kitchen - great gathering room. Overall would highly recommend property.

Family Holiday in the Berkshires

We are just unpacking from our three day stay at the General Williams Estate. This was a family Holiday to celebrate our grandson’s High School Graduation. The house was large enough for the ten of us to throughly enjoy ourselves. Best features ~. Pool Table ( one full day of rain). Great living room couch to watch lots of Sports, A large dinning room table , well equipped kitchens ( two!). Lovely bedroom space,, terrific yard for badminton, corn hole, spike ball. The swimming pool had good use one afternoon by some of us…( Brrr). Great shopping and lots of bike riding through Tanglewood and a full family ride on the Ashuiticook paved bike trail. Andrea was easy to work with and someday we hope to return. I highly recommend the house. Enjoy!

Our stay last weekend was comfortable and enjoyable in General James House. The beds were comfortable, and the lounging space and outdoors are perfect for a large group to gather and relax. We only used the main house, and the pool was not open. There are few items we noted and would like to convey to the hostess- This is an old house and needs some extra attention to some of the important features - lights on the stove/kitchen, the external door locks are hard to close, the bath tubs in two of the bed rooms do not drain well and the trash compactor does not work. Basic supplies such as toilet roll, paper towels were not sufficient and when requested couple of extras, we were asked to buy our own which we did. So if you have large group then bring all these house supplies. The house has temperature controls with no access to guest for any adjustments-they were in locked mode. Although, we were instructed to call with questions , the phone calls were never answered (not good if there was an emergency) and the calls were returned late (one call as late as 24h). These are minor but important points that would make this lovely place even more desirable for large families. We had met the hostess accidently at the market and she was truly interested in making it all better for guest. I am sure the hostess will attend to all these mentioned items and will make it better for future visitors. Overall, we had a nice time and I would recommend this place for large groups. The location is central to all hikes, restaurants and shopping.

Great!

We rented this beautiful home for a family gathering. Plenty of space! Lots of bedrooms (comfortable beds!)and bathrooms! Big table for family meals. We really enjoyed the pool table, and outdoor patio! Host was easy to communicate with,was responsive and accommodating. Great location! Highly recommend!

Great house but limited

The house is great from a space and common area perspective. However there was nothing provided besides towels - no trash bags no soap (in a pandemic ) ,etc. we also could not control the thermostats so it was either freezing or scorching. Love the house but hope that in the future the host provides some things for the guests so we the money that is saved with the house is added on buying common VRBO amenities .

Quinn, Sorry to hear this on a review rather than through contact with me directly however I am very confused by this review. The house has Google thermostats that give a range of 50 to 73 in all zones. We did find one of the bedroom windows left open by one of your guests so perhaps this was the reason you may have been cold. Hot I am not sure why these were not turned down. The house has hand soap in all 5 bathrooms, the kitchen is equipped with tons of spices, sugar, salts etc..., Also dish soap and some pods for the dishwasher. There are a couple of trashbags and a roll to toilet paper in all baths as well as a roll of papertowel. We also send a detailed list of things you need to bring and body soaps, trash bags are listed on here. I am glad you enjoyed your stay but wished you had reached out so we could have discussed your disappointments.

Weekend Ski Trip at Butternut

We booked this property for a weekend stay. It was perfect for 4 families. The kids had a great time and it was a 15 min drive to the ski resort. Also, close to town. We would definitely book it again for a fun group ski trip.
