The main house, Kas di Almendra, features a stylish 1-bedroom layout with a king-size bed, ensuite bathroom, and a spacious modern kitchen. You’ll love the side-by-side fridge with water and ice dispenser, dishwasher, 5 burner stove, and double oven plus small appliances like an Instant Pot, rice cooker, blender, and coffee maker.

PERFECT location! 20 meters from ocean, great snorkeling & diving, 5 minute walk to town, private

My friend Amanda and I voted this the best vacation ever! The house is beautiful and the location is perfect. We felt at home as soon as we arrived. After all day of exploring the island we were so happy to have such a comfortable bed to sleep in. Su & Chris were so informative that it was like having your own concierge. Totally had fun going around the island on the scooters. Loved that we could just walk to the bars and restaurants. Chris makes awesome mojitos with the fresh mint he grows. The neighbor gave us windsurfing lessons at Lac Bay. We had so much fun and we couldn't do everything we wanted to do in a week. We already have a return trip planned and we can't wait to come back to Treasure By The Sea.

Loved Treasure By the Sea. Great location, quiet and away from the main drag yet close enough to walk to restaurants, dive shops, and the local fisherman. Anything you need is available. There are 1-2 bedrooms units available, nice bathroom, well-stocked kitchen. A/C in bedroom but not in kitchen/main area. Nice ceiling fans so heat was never a big problem. Outside grill available for your cooking pleasure. Tub for rinsing scuba gear and closets for hanging equipment. If you're needing anything else, Su and Chris will most-likely have it for you. They were great hosts, very helpful. There are 2 very well-behaved dogs on the property. We loved them also.

Great week on Bonaire

Treasure by the Sea is beautiful. There are three rental units on the property and a fourth unit that Su lives in. There's a large walled courtyard that everyone shares but each unit also has its own patio with a table and umbrella. Su was wonderful to work with. As noted, she lives on site. She met us when we arrived and provided a lot of advice for our first visit to the island. She was also available for questions and recommendations throughout our visit. Our place was decorated beautifully. We had great sheets and plenty of towels. The kitchen was stocked with a variety of glasses and pots and pans, not that we cooked at all. We did use the cooler Su provided every day to pack a lunch before we went diving. We had everything we needed, and if we had needed something, I'm sure Su would accommodate if she could. Treasure by the Sea is in a fantastic location. It's within walking distance of the dive shop that we used. We had a truck that we used for our diving adventures but we walked to dinner every night. We also loved Su's pets--there are two cats and a dog on the property who were very friendly and greeted us most mornings. It was our first trip to Bonaire, and we feel lucky to have found such a great location. We will definitely be back to Treasure by the Sea again.

5-star hotel service with all the comforts of your own apartment!

Absolutely love staying with Chris & Su. This was our second trip. They just make everything so easy, from helping with dinner reservations, to recommending local spots to buy fresh fish. They even arranged a private dive guide for us on our first trip. Apartments are beautifully done, with fully functional kitchens, olive oil, spices, etc. There was even a pasta roller at our apartment (we were too busy spending time outside to use it!).

Treasure by the Sea is exactly as advertised. Sometimes having owners on site can feel a little invasive but that is certainly not the case with Su and Chris. From the moment they picked us up at the airport we were made to feel at home. The owners are approachable and available for as much or little as you require. Both are a font of knowledge, providing us with everything from restaurant to dive site beta. This was our first trip to Bonaire and the diving, Treasure by the Sea, and all the great people we met were amazing. Hey, we even had great neighbors. We can’t wait to return. 100% recommend you book now, you’ll be glad you did.

A 'treasure' to be sure!

Treasure by the Sea is just that! A treasure near the sea. The listing's description are spot on. The location was perfect with great snorkelling just a few metres away. The property was clean, well maintained, and had everything we needed! Su and Chris, the owners are a wonderful, hospitable couple who were so helpful in finding our way around, and providing recommendations for many great activities. There were many activities to choose from, snorkelling just steps away, checking out a cave with an amazing tour guide, snorkelling on Klien Bonaire, kayaking through the Mongroves. Lots to see and do. Woodwind tours with Dee, Sea Cow snorkelling tour with Henk and Gea, Glass bottom boat tour with Paul, caving with Leo from Flow. All such wonderful hospitable guides! A quaint village/town centre is a 15 minute walk away. Though we ate in most of the time, there are many different restaurant choices. Our favourite was Bon Arome, a small restaurant with top notch food and service! Thanks Chris and Su for such wonderful hospitality and making our stay seem as though we were just staying with friends on Bonaire. We're already missing Cowboy and Jolie! Hope to see you again soon!! You two are amazing.

Sue and Chis were gracious and attentive hosts who sought to all of our needs.. It's great location that's close to town. A seaside walk gets us there in ten minutes where there are many restaurants that serve the freshest fish. It's not an ideal location for diving/snorkeling (though there a plenty of fish to see). But you'll want to explore the island for that anyway. We were also invited to potluck dinner on the premises with other guests and local business owners that was a pleasure to attend. If we make it back to the island, we'll be sure to book here again. Thanks Sue and Chris!

We absolutely loved it!! Loved it!!

We stayed here for two weeks in January 2016 and just loved it! No surprises - what you see is what you get. The units, which are beautifully decorated, look just like the pictures. Ours was immaculately clean and the high quality bed linens were changed twice a week! The property is extremely well kept and cared for. This is not your typical rental with an off-site owner/property manager where they give you the keys and you're on your own. Su and Chris live on-site and really care about you having a wonderful stay. It felt like our wish was their command; recommendations and restaurant reservations, bookings for excursions, advice on diving and snorkelling, tips on the best grocery stores, yoga classes,etc, etc. You can walk to lots and lots of restaurants and the shops downtown. We had an outside dining table where we always dined when we ate in. Security is covered with electronic combination locks on the gate and private/locked dive equipment lockers. Handy dive equipment rinse tank, parking and the convenience of renting a scooter or truck right on site….and Oh, I can’t forget the beautiful bicycles that are available for your use! We used them almost every day. The property is just one house back from the waterfront Boulevard...just steps to the seawall to watch the sunset with a glass of wine, or to snorkel just out front which we did several times. Even though we don’t have pets at home, we enjoyed the company of Su and Chris’s resident pets, who are extremely well-behaved. While there is no en-suite laundry, laundry service is available. We split our stay in Bonaire between two rentals and when the time came, we didn’t want to leave Treasure by the Sea. We’ll be back!

You will be comfortable & well-cared for at Treasure by the Sea

The location is perfect: quiet, yet close to the ocean, & walkable to many great restaurants. The apts. are beyond clean - the owner's clean everything - absolutely everything - after each stay, whether you use it or not. The apts. are very well-stocked, you will find every kitchen thing imaginable. We were very comfortable, & each unit has great outdoor lounges & seating, as well. Tote bags, beach towels, cooler - all provided in each apt. Su & Chris are a wealth of information on Bonaire, & all activities there. They will even make your reservations for you, for everything! They are about the friendliest inn-keepers we've ever come across, anywhere. You have a combination lock to get into the outdoor space, so feel secure there. They really have thought of everything. I don't think I've ever seen anyone work as hard on their place as Su & Chris - & you will thoroughly enjoy the environment they've created.

Bonaire's Best in VRBO

This rental was all the comforts of home away from home!!! ;-) A quiet safe location; including wifi; large safe (that holds laptop,camera gear etc); laundry availability; truck; bike or scooter rental, there is no need to waste time to go elsewhere. They even pick you up at the airport!!! Comfortable beds (you may even get one Chris has made and designed with a matching armor!), clean new linens, including a beach towel. Keep your packing limited, and casual since you can use laundry facilities there. I did not eat one meal out, this place is so comfy and relaxing going out was not necessary. Kitchen appliances, dishes, pots and other utensils are all there!!! A spacious comfortable outdoor dining area or inside eating bar....... even includes candles... all you need to buy is the wine and cheese!! Located on the promenade, the option of walking to town for meals is only 5 minutes away. I cycled the island in all directions and the cottage was a perfect starting point. Sue and Chris are on site and included me on some of their personal snorkel trips and sunrise photo shoots. Most memorable, and thoughtful. On a daily basis they are most attentive and helpful to your needs. Being able to shore snorkel or dive right from the cottage is very convenient and a dive shop is 3 minutes away on foot where you can take a boat tour out to other reefs. I was traveling as a single so it was more difficult to get on a tour to the National Park, they referred Tina from Clear Kayak Tours. She also went out of her way and did a private tour for me which was most informative and enjoyable, right down to the lunch and ginger tea! Her Mangrove kayak ride is also a must. Another recommendation is Woodwind tours for a trimaran ride to Kline Island to snorkel the reefs with an informative guide. Their boat is equipped with all the gear should you need it. Time to relax or get this sore cycling or diving muscles relieved..... try Angels Spa, a 2 minute walk away. Since they have 2 units and soon 3, this is a great location for a family or business retreat. Thanks Chris and Su may you be blessed with many happy visitors. I look forward to my return.
