About the property

2 Bedroom, 2 Bath, sleeps 6

This wonderful Lake Huron waterfront property is a jewel! It's located on 5 acres with 330 feet of frontage on beautiful Lake Huron, just 5 minutes west of Mackinaw City. You can enjoy the peace and solitude of this lovely property or be in town in 5 minutes for your nightly ice cream cone. It features 2 bedrooms plus a queen size sleeper sofa and will accommodate up to 6 guests. The home is expansive with 1800 sf of comfort and comes equipped with everything you need to enjoy a relaxing Northern Michigan vacation. It has a large eat-in kitchen with a breakfast bar for family gatherings. There is a nice natural stone wood-burning fireplace to take the chill off the northern Michigan evenings and lots of outdoor space. There are 2 decks, a fire pit, picnic tables and outdoor seating areas for enjoying picnics or sunbathing. The spacious yard overlooks Mackinac Island and the Mackinac Bridge. The view is spectacular! There is also an adorable beachfront cottage (Million Dollar View) on the property that may be rented as well to allow for extra guests. There is also "Little Lem's" and Lem's #2 available if you have a large family or want to plan a family reunion. The beach is rocky and we recommend water shoes. This vacation home is super clean and comfortable and is sure to provide the relaxing family vacation you are looking for. Bring your bikes and canoes/kayaks. There is a 60+ mile bike/hiking trail across the road from the cottage and you can easily launch your canoe or kayak from the waterfront.

2nd sister Getaway

  • 5 of 5

It was a beautiful place to stay and would recommend to anyone interested. Very spacious and very clean. Close to Mackinaw City for going to town but just far enough to be in the country on the water. When we were there, many pockets of rain, but the last day, we caught the most beautiful sunrise. Us 5 sisters enjoyed ourselves. Definitely would go again.

This property is paradise! You're close to Mackinaw City but not in the crowds and busyness!

  • 5 of 5

You have a peaceful and gorgegous view! The house is very comfortable and beautiful! We stayed there with our three teenage daughters, one is in a wheelchair; the house was very comfortable and open to handle her chair and moving her around!! We loved being away from the chaos of the hotels but loved being only 6 miles from everything!! We would recommend this property, highly!!

Paradise cottage

  • 5 of 5

It was wonderful. We enjoyed our stay very much. The house was very clean, nice, comfortable and well furnished. We could see the lake from the living area; very relaxing & beautiful. We also enjoyed seeing the hummingbirds feed. We enjoyed our walks down to the lake/water from the cottage. The scenery was outstanding, It is conveniently close to Mackinaw City where we enjoyed eating, shopping & walking.

Bridge walk weekend

  • 4 of 5

A very enjoyable stay, which would have been a 5 star except for a couple of small problems. A very strong 4 star and we are booking again for next year.

Wonderful vacation home!

  • 4 of 5

This place is wonderful - right on Lake Huron, view of the bridge, fire pit, outdoor grilling, plenty of places to sit outside and inside, lovely. I would have given it 5, even 6 stars, but it needs a tiny bit of upkeep - faucets leaking, floors uneven (a bit problematic for older guests...), etc. But all in all, a wonderful choice!

relaxed vacationer

  • 5 of 5

I really loved this place. The property truly is in paradise. First of all, the house is very clean and smells fresh. The kitchen has plenty of counter space and is well stocked with whatever you would need. The back room has a beautiful view of the property which includes looking out onto Lake Huron. Also, you can hear the waves at night in the back bedroom.

I enjoyed the beach and read a book while down there. Plus, the water was warm and a pretty blue. I forgot my swim suit though. Darn! Oh, I did get to watch the big barges and freighters go by too as well as enjoyed my view of the Mackinaw Bridge and Mackinaw Island.

I did enjoy jogging on the North Central Trail which has an access point directly across the street from the driveway. I got a 40 minute run in while enjoying nature and being off the road.

I liked being close to both Mackinaw City and Cheboygan while being away from the crowds and hustle bustle of being in the city. There was plenty of peace and quiet plus privacy.

I will for sure return, this weekend went way too quickly.

Thanks Diane for all that you did and for providing me with such a nice getaway.
