About Eric Bradshaw
I am Eric Bradshaw. I was born and raised here in the Griggsville area. This property has been apart of my family for many years as well the lodge was my home at one time. I shared my home with friends and family for special events, family reunions, community fundraisers and weddings..... My family and I now live just off site and I am only a phone call away. I enjoy working on the farm and am a strong supporter of most things Agriculturally related. My family lives here in the immediate area and I am very active in the local community. I cherish the many memories and family traditions I have made here at the lodge as my home, now I have a chance to share it with you and hear of your families wonderful traditions .

Great stay, perfect space for a large gathering of 20 friends :)
Great price for a large space!
Our church group had an awesome time here for our small group getaway retreat. It's definitely rustic -- it's a lodge! You can't beat the price!
The hot tub room was leaking, and the basement was not in the best condition (dark and dingy) but the main floor and upstairs were great! We had fun hunting for geodes (there are a ton!), swimming in the lake, and boating. It was convenient that there was a washer/dryer on every floor. The house is extremely NOT sound-proof, so it's a little hard for families with lots of kids, but we made it work. The highlight of the stay was the commercial dishwasher that washed a load in 3.5 mins! Thanks for a great stay.
Pond was the highlight
Upon arriving everything looked great. It’s what we thought it would be. Once we started getting into the house and enjoying it we noticed a lot of things. Kitchen utensils and pans were dirty and there weren’t a lot of pots and pans. The furniture in the garage room had food stuck in it. The pillows in the bedrooms were completely stained yellow and smelled. We played cornhole in the yard by the lake and the grass was past our ankles. Only half the grill works. The downstairs was in bad shape. The beds downstairs weren’t in the best of shape for bigger adults to sleep on. The floating dock floated out to close to the bank so it was hard to enjoy at the end of our stay. The house was covered in dust and spider webs inside and out. I know it sounds like I’m complaining a lot. But to spend as much money as we did and pay for a cleaning fee I was a little upset. I’m happy that it had the pond because it really did save our trip. I don’t think we will rent again.
We enjoyed it completely!
We came here with our 6 children, 3 married with 5 grandchildren. The spacious cabin was so nice, and the laundry on all floors was a nice bonus for the mommies! Plenty of bathrooms made it easy to accommodate us all. We spent a lot of time on the water, fishing, kayaking, and swimming. It was very warm while we were here and we were glad for water to play in! Grandchildren loved it! The playful fawns ran around in the evenings, and weren't scared of us. The walk in cooler was a grand asset to hold all the food this family consumes :) . The big grill was a treat to cook on! Stacy was there when we arrived, and she gave us a nice tour, telling us all about the cabin, and how things work. She was very accommodating, and helpful! We felt at home, and would return if we ever need a place again in the Midwest. We made a lot of good memories!!
Very nice place...quiet location
We had 30 people and this place had plenty of room to accommodate us all . Plenty of activities to keep every one entertained. Would definitely recommend this place and would love to return sometime in the future .
This is a delightful place for a large family to gather in this quiet, functional place
We had everything we wanted to swim, fish, eat and just chill out together. The pond was delightful and used everyday. The kitchen served us well. The host was accommodating and helpful finding anything we needed. Geode hunting was a particularly enjoyable experience for everyone of all ages. This property easily accommodated our family of 25. We would all give this place a double thumbs up!
Our beautiful 3 story lodge feels as though your millions of miles from anywhere but yet still within 15 minutes of plenty rural attractions. We also have numerous fairs in each county during certain times of the yr, A fantastic Restaurant right on the Illinois river called the Boatel within 25 minutes of the lodge, tons of rock bottom creeks for those of you that love to look for Geodes, and some of the best deer viewing in all of Illinois. We have over 50 deer per square mile, so seeing a ton of deer is never a problem. Our lodge offers all the privacy and seclusion a person could ask for along with being just minutes away from town.
