Great beach house and location!

The proximity to the beach was great! The house was nice, clean, and had a very "comfy" feel to it. It was well maintained and the owners provided good customer service. The wifi worked well and the tvs were great with the olympics on while we were there. We went to the aquarium at Moody Gardens, ate lunch at The Spot, enjoyed boogie boarding and hanging out at the beach, etc. The rate per night, plus taxes, cleaning service, etc. came out to basically $2,000 for Friday to Sunday. That seemed a little expensive and we had to leave by 11am on Sunday, which makes you feel a little rushed on your last day. I think the price could be adjusted to be more reasonable and the time to leave could be extended to 12 or 1pm. Just a thought. Overall, I enjoyed the house but wish the price was more affordable.

Hi Erica, My heart is to be the best hostess possible and I always try to accommodate modified check-in/check-out times when asked. Check-in is 4pm and I often have families checking in the same day other guests depart so plenty of time to prepare for the next family is vital. Cleanliness is crucial to me and it takes everybit of 5 hours to prepare for guests so a check out time of 11 am is necessary and is the standard in our area. I never knew your family wanted a later check out or else I would have been so happy to accommodate your request since the next guests did not come until the day after your departure. I am so very sorry you felt rushed and when you stay in my home next, please communicate your desire for a late check-out and promise to do my very best! Renter beware if problems - beautiful beach house only if all runs smoothly

My extended family of 10 stayed over Thanksgiving long weekend. And 2.5 of our 4 days, we were without hot water, one of the A/C - heater units didn't work, and we had to manage sopping up leaks in the kitchen from the A/C and meeting contractors - all without any refund. The homeowner worked hard to repair things over a holiday weekend, but with our short stay, we got only one hot shower of the 3 nights there. Eight days before we arrived, I was given additional contracts to sign including clauses like no reimbursement for mechanical issues and noting the house provides no hand or body soaps, no dishwasher or washing machine soap, etc. It was too late to change to a new location, and we couldn't get the access codes without executing the renter-unfriendly agreements. The house was beautiful, and if all the appliances work well, you'll be all set. But if you have issues, you will have a disappointing experience capped off with overpaying for the value that you receive.

House was comfortable and having baths for each bedroom is a plus!

It might be helpful to list what you do not supply for the vrbo…..such as toilet paper, paper towels etc. new cooking or baking pans would be nice for easier use and clean up. Thank you for letting us check out later! We will rent this place in the future.

I am so sorry. I provide a list of items to bring with you that include toilet paper and paper towels. I provide both of those to get started so no one walks in unpack and in need. Before I owned and rented a beachhome through Gary Greene and Sand n Sea, they didnt even have toilet paper on the dispensor for arrival. I am so sorry if that paperwork did not get sent to you, I try my very best to communicate well. I am a foodie and cook so pots and pansand cooking utensils are very important to me. They are relatively new and Stainless Steel 18/10 but I will reinspect and replace anything that is needed. I hope you do come back soon!

Nicely Appointed Beach Home

We loved the location of this home -- two beautiful decks with ocean views. The owner has provided so many high quality amenities in this home -- it was like being in your own home -- the linens/bedding, towels and pillows were such nice quality and the beds were all amazingly comfortable. I would definitely stay here again. Kristen is very responsive and easy to work with. My only very minor complaint is that we had very little space to store things - especially in the kitchen. There are a lot of decorations so finding a place to sit anything down was a challenge. If she could thin out some of the decor and provide an unlocked pantry for food, that would make all the difference. It would be hard to manage staying here for a full week with all of the food without having a pantry to store things in. We just felt really cluttered and cramped in the kitchen. But, again, all of the rooms were spacious and overall this was a VERY comfortable and homey place to stay. I plan on returning with my family very soon!!!

Lovely home

Beautifully decorated home. Very comfortable and so close to the beach. And the beach was like having a private one all to yourself compared to the madness of the Seawall & Stewart Beach. I just had one problem with the cleanliness: in the downstairs

Family Getaway

We loved our stay. The beach was amazing as it was just steps away. The home was just as promised. It was comfortable and convenient. We were happy not to have to fight the crowds for a spot on the beach, yet have the convenience that things were within minutes drive. Everyone commented on the fact that they had the best night's sleep that they had had in a very long time. stress seemed to melt away there. The house is beautiful many, many decorations. Our Hostess is amazing! She was in constant contact, letting us know everything we needed to know about the property.

Girls Weekend

The beach house was as we expected! It was clean, nicely decorated, and plenty of room for 4 females ( we each got to have our own bedroom and bath). Although the weather was not conducive to beach time we still enjoyed ourselves in the house. We will definitely be back!!

Excellent Stay

Our family spent the recent Easter Weekend here and it was even better than expected. Owner was extremely responsive and very detailed. The property is very inviting and makes for a great getaway. Wonderful Stay

The owner was incredibly nice and responsive and accommodating, especially considering our short notice. The house was perfect--clean, nice views of the water from each deck, a great kitchen, comfortable beds, well-stocked--basically everything you could ask for. After seeing some other beach rentals in the same price range, this house is, by far, the best in Pirates Beach. We will stay here again.

Great Vacation

We enjoyed our spring break trip at Linger Longer. House was very clean and homey. We had one hiccup due to being one of the first renters in the house after the February freeze, but Kristen does a great job of communicating, and got someone over there right away to fix it. Great location in Pirates Beach! We’ll be back

Perfect location and great floor plan

We chose this property to spend time with our four children and the grandparents and the floor plan with 4 bed rooms and 4 full baths was perfect for us. The beach was less than a block away so we cooked our dinners in the slow cooker and were able to come and go to the beach as we liked. The house is so thoughtfully set up and decorated and Kristen was very quick to respond to any questions I had. We would love to stay here again soon!
