I loved the house. They had everything we could have asked for. I would definitely stay there again and I recommend it to anybody. Great home
Nice house with a lot of space.
The Shaw was a great house for our group of 15. There was more than enough space and parking for our four families. The downside was the cost. It was nearly $1800 for 3 nights after all of the fees that are attached. The house is about 30 minutes from downtown Memphis. Overall, it was a nice home and they even provided some snacks and drinks for us.
Thank you so much for choosing to stay with us during your "Liberty Bowl Event" and congratulations on your win. We are glad to know that you found our home accommodating to not only your large group, but your vehicles as well. That extra driveway has often provided boat parking space for our guests. Because you were here during a special event traffic was terrible and getting in and out of downtown probably added 10-15 minutes to your trip. The fees charged by VRBO/Homeaway cannot be helped as they are government imposed and your stay was "Peak Season", however, when you calculate the costs of several hotel rooms and overnight parking fees at a hotel, not to mention the security, ambience, and kitchen facilities; well we did our best to offer a competitive quote. Next time your are in Memphis if you mention this stay we will gladly add one nights stay free to your paid reservation. We hope we gave you the personal attention you deserve and thank you again.
Well kept country place
Comfortable place to stay. All the amenities that you need plus some.
We thank you for the five stars! It is our ultimate goal to ensure that our guests have all the privacy they need to enjoy the rural setting. I's good to know you were able to take full advantage of the space and still enjoy our sister Memphis, TN daily.
So much better than a hotel.
The house is even better than it looks in the photos.
There was plenty of room for the 11 of us (4 couples and 3 young adults) to be together, and for everyone to have a pretty much private sleeping area.
We were only there for 3 days, which we were in Memphis most of the time, so we didn't get to take full advantage of all of the amenities that the place has to offer, from a pool table to board games and cards, and outdoor fire pits, there are more than enough activities.
Linda (the owner) is a very friendly person and offered us insider tips about where to eat and how to get around. Also, I talked to her during the booking process and told her we would be in town for our parents 50th anniversary, when we arrived, we were delighted to see that Linda had gone out of her way to leave a gift in my parents room, how thoughtful is that!
The property is in the country down a couple of curvy roads but it's only a few miles, and is in a clean and well kept area.
Don't use the microwave if you have the griddle running, it will trip the breaker.
This really is a home away from home, and we would highly recommend it.
We were so proud for your to share such a precious occasion in our space. Our goal is to provide a venue for families like yours to enoy each other again and we are so glad you did. You were the perfect guests and we thank you for your kind words.
We had a nice time. The hosts were very nice and accommodating
Thanks so much for choosing us and taking the time to give us your review and feedback.
We had a crew of 16. The house accommodated us easily. All had a place to sleep - cots, rollaways & air mattresses in addition to the beds. All could eat at a table. It was a challenge with only 2 bathrooms, but we managed. The place was well stocked with snacks & drinks.(Best I have experienced) Linda went above and beyond, even to the extent of bringing a fire stick so we could watch the Clemson game! She was readily available - and so cheerful!
