The house was originally owned by our mother Marilyn Knight. She left the house to her three boys Mike, Harvey and Jon. We are all originally from Vermont but started calling Sedona home in 2000. We keep the house and visit it often to honor the memory of our mom who loved Sedona so very much.
Mike Knight purchased this house in 2000
The Home is in a nice neighborhood & Very Close To many Trails- We Hiked Teacup, Thunder & Top of Sugarloaf (view is amazing). Close to midtown for eating out/shopping and just a5-10min drive to other trails- Airport Vortex - great for Sunset. We loved being able to cook breakfast & have coffee in the mornings; drink a bottle of wine in the evenings. I cooked chicken in &steaks in oven. Every kitchen utensil you need is there! I'd prob buy 2 more wine glasses for house or bring with you.
The kitchen & family/TV room are Super Nice & spacious. No great views from inside house, yet, just walk to end of driveway & a VIEW!
Heat, Water, A/C all worked Perfectly. Bathroom is nice & Beds are comfy. The carpet in bedrooms is not pretty - possibly they will replace or just put in tile. Family room furniture is comfy. TV works great & it is very peaceful location. Marilyn was a Peaceful lady & I loved her bunnies & books.
We were up by 6:30a.m. hitting trails before anyone else & back to house for breakfast - we'd return after 7pm from our hikes & adventures- exhausted-The queen bed is very comfy.
Mike is so nice, honest & helpful, I would rent from him for any property he owns. I just hope in a few years, he'll let us stay again.
It is close/walking distance to a tourist trap "Coffee Pot" - not good food, not even the omelets, but coffee was good & there is a tiny shop that I got some gifts from. Sedona Pizza in Midtown is good, as are some others.
NO DOWNSIDES TO staying here, perfect for 2-4 folks= one bathroom.
Our stay at Marilyn House could hardly have been better. The home is comfortable, clean, beautifully laid out--and has a fully equipped kitchen!! All instructions for coming, going, and staying (including electronics) were clear and concise. We love to hike, and there are five trails starting from or close to the trail head that is just two blocks away--and more that those lead to. Step out the door and see Capitol Butte and Coffee Pot rocks golden in the dawn or amber in the sunset. Quiet neighborhood, delightful next door neighbors, walking distance to groceries, movies, restaurants . . .tops. We can't wait to go back. Everything promised in the description, and more. Communications excellent. Oh, and a malfunctioning washing machine fixed in 24 hours. Thanks Mike!!
What a wonderful stay! It was such a great location. The house was perfect and Mike was reachable and helpful. The place was spotlessly clean when we arrived. Everything was in good working order. I highly recommend this place!! We are already planning our next visit! Thanks Mike!

This house is very beautifully situated close to the 'Coffee Pot' and all amenities in West-Sedona. The house itself is fully equipped with tv, wifi, pots and pans, everything you would need for a cozy long-term stay right in the heart of West-Sedona. You've got quick access to all what Sedona has to offers, the spiritual canyons and vortexes, for instance Boynton Canyon. Close to the artist community in Jerome, Cottonwood, and Flagstaff, it's ideal for a long-term stay/recreation in the area. I can only recommend this spiritual house wholeheartedly. It's a little gem!
The house has all the amenities you need. Just bring your clothes, and your sense for local adventure. Kitchen is stocked with all the necessities. There is lots of comfy furniture, linens, towels, washer/dryer, TV and wifi. The 3 sons who kept their mother's house have left some of Mom's personal items, books, and even old kitchen items that make you feel you are truly in a home, and not a hotel. You are within walking distance to a few trailheads, and just a short 2 minute drive to the main highway with grocery stores, restaurants, galleries, movie theater, and everything the town has to offer. Stayed here of about 6 weeks, and would definitely stay here again.
This was our second stay at this property. It is such a good value and we like the central location! We like the remodeled kitchen/living area and bath. We also love being able to make some meals at" home" as eating every meal out gets old, and this kitchen is so well equipped - everything from crockpot, blender, every type of pot/pan, cooking utensils, spices, etc. It makes it so easy to cook. It is only a couple blocks from a major trail head with several nice trails - our favorite being the summit to Sugar Loaf with spectacular views. The owner is always accommodating and easy to work with. We are always pleased and we will definitely be back!
