About Bill Watford

We are a local DeLand family with 30 years of real estate management experience. In addition to The DeLand Marigold, we also own Grandma's Place in Deland VRBO Listing #607994 and two other VRBO properties in Cedar Key, Fl. These include the Treehouse, VRBO #467642 and Goose Cove Cottage VRBO #467643.

Bill Watford purchased this house in 1985

Why Bill Watford chose Florida Central East

This property is located only 10 blocks from the center of Deland, an historic town with a rich culture going back to the Mid 1800’s. It has been voted the Best Small Town in America several times. This property’s location is a block from the city tennis courts and Earl Brown park with a lake with lots of ducks. This is also the location for the annual arts and craft fair and the skate park. If you are here for a Stetson football or baseball game, you can walk to the game.

What makes this house unique

Two acres that seem to be in the country although you close to downtown and all of the activities there. With three super nice bedrooms, you have room for your whole family. The front porch is an awesome place to relax in the beautiful Florida weather. The owners, Bill & Erin really thought through what would make guests feel at home and designed this place around that.

It looks smaller than it actually is. It is huge & so open inside.

  • 5 of 5

Very roomy & homey. I was able to operate my power chair with no problems what so ever due to the openness inside. The master bedroom is super huge. The only thing is no bathroom in it but otherwise fantastic. It was back far enough from the main road that traffic really was no bother. The owner was very friendly and if something was called on it was taken care of right away. I would highly recommend this as a get-away place. It is in city but the way it is situated you would never know it!!

Great home with lots of room and welcomes pets

  • 4 of 5

It is a very nice home with lots of room. There is a fenced yard for your dogs which is terrific. We had a very nice stay while we were there for four months. Bill was terrific and only a text or phone call away.

Nice Stay

  • 5 of 5

Our 4 day stay was nice. The house is very clean and the washer and dryer came in handy, as we did not

have to bring a lot of clothes. It is nice to sit out on the sundeck, and the house is back from the street

giving us privacy. The rooms are spacious and that came in handy with my father who was in a wheel chair. I would definitely stay here again if I happen to be in Deland.

Perfect!

  • 5 of 5

Don't let the facade fool you. This house is large on the inside. Large bedrooms, large closets, large living room and a large front and fenced back yard. Hope to be back next year.

Owner's Response: Thank you so much for your nice review. I never realized that the outside photos of the house don't reflect the actual size until I read your review. I need to take some new photos. I'm so glad that you enjoyed your stay and we are looking forward to your return.
