The little Lake House in DeLand FL is a Beautiful and Comfortably Renovated Lake Front Cottage on the private and pristine Lake Winnemissett. This newly renovated cottage is close and convenient to everything; Historic Downtown DeLand, Stetson and Embry Riddle Universities, I-4, I-95, Volusia Beaches and Springs (Blue, Gemini and DeLeon), Historic Sanford, Orlando and more.

The little Lake House DeLand offers 3 bedrooms, 2 baths and sleeps 6 comfortably with plenty of room to separate or come together. It is newly renovated and updated; very clean, comfortable and well appointed. From the beautiful original hardwood floors to the newly renovated and updated kitchen and baths, The little Lake House is truly a place to feel comfortable.

Work, play or relax while enjoying the waterfront from the inside views, the back yard, patio or dock. Lake Winnemissett is a beautiful private lake and considered the most pristine in all of Volusia County.

Lounge indoors, swim or just relax on the dock. There is plentiful parking.

Best place for convenience,cleanliness and feeling at home!

This gem of a property is so modern, clean, convenient and they go out of their way to make you feel at home and provide those things you need when traveling. The owners gave amazing correspondence throughout the booking. When we arrived the little touches made us feel at home. Looking forward to booking again and enjoying all the property has to offer.

Perfect little escape

Amazed at how close to the city of Deland, while still having that cozy lake house feel this place is. Plenty of room for all of the family, and kayaks available to enjoy the peace of the lake.

Excellent lakefront home

This property has everything you want and need. It is the most well stocked home I’ve ever rented. I’ve been back numerous times visiting my daughter at college. The kitchen is well stocked as are the bathrooms and bedrooms. The host is very responsive to any needs and communicates well in the time leading up to the trip.

Quick weekend for daughter’s competition

Everything was great!! Nancy had a small welcome basket for us which was a nice treat since we got in late! She worked well and responded extremely fast to any questions or requests. The place was spot on the description! Very relaxing and peaceful! We would definitely stay again if we get back to the area! Thank you Nancy for a wonderful weekend

Amazing location and home by the lake with kayaks

The house is super clean and modern. The kitchen is very well equipped. We cooked meals every day. The house is beautifully furnished. The beds and pillows are very comfortable. And my husband is picky about his beds and he gave it an A. The bathrooms are clean and good water pressure. There were lots of extra blankets, throws and towels. The view with huge windows is so beautiful, of the lake. The kids were squealing with delight. The kayaks were a huge hit. We hopped on a few times. We saw beautiful birds come by. We could see them even from inside the house. There is a very large tv and a piano ( my younger kid enjoyed). There is a laundry room that we didn’t use. We visited in March and visited the Blue Springs park close by (20 minute drive) and saw manatees. We also drove to the Daytona Beach beach - 30 minutes drive. Though the house close to the road, it was quiet. There are grocery stores close by. We also played Uno that the host had left for us. There was another interesting board game we didn’t get to. This is one of the best rentals we have done, and we have been doing it for a long time.Nancy was responsive, flexible and kind.

Time to Relax

The Little Lake House was immaculate..perfectly clean..I stayed with 2 of my sisters.. the mattresses were excellent.. kitchen spotless and fully equipped..the backyard lake view was so relaxing and the host went above and beyond to accommodate us and provide little niceties to make our stay so easy and relaxing.

Perfection!!

By far, The Little Lake House was the best rental we have ever had and Nancy, as host, knocked it out of the park! The property is METICULOUS and Nancy’s thoughtful touches made it feel like home. Kudos to you Nancy for creating a perfect experience! You won’t find another property that can surpass this…do yourself a favor and book your stay.

The Little Lakehouse experience

When we arrived, we were thrilled to find a very clean, well- stocked, and organized property. It was simply but beautifully decorated, and had a booklet clearly explaining expectations (very few) , along with facts about the area, things to see, places to eat, and instructions for checking out. It’s located on a beautiful lake, with a patio that overlooks the lake. The street in front is very busy but doesn’t distract from the comfort of our visit. Is very close to route 4 that heads towards the beaches around Daytona. The owner was very helpful. We recommend this listing.alwa

Beautiful view

The view over lake was beautiful, saw all kinds of birds everyday,even seen an owl one night. Could see a rocket lauch go over. The noise from traffic is worth the view

Girls Weekend

What an amazing place. So cute and clean. Everything that you could need is here! My friend and I stayed for the weekend. We explored Cassadega and downtown Deland. We also worked on some art projects while looking out the picture window to the lake. I would book again!

Adorable Lake House

We loved this property. We have family in DeLand, and this was the perfect place for our needs. We were just minutes from family, and downtown DeLand. We also visited Blue Springs to see the manatees, which was on my bucket list! The view was beautiful, I enjoyed watching the water birds on the lake as I drank my coffee each morning. The space is beautifully decorated, very clean, and the kitchen is probably the most well stocked kitchen we've ever seen! We hope to be able to stay here again, and maybe we will have time to take the kayaks out.

Clean, comfortable & convenient

We enjoyed our stay at the little lake house. It was well-appointed, immaculate, had very cozy beds/bed linens and was close to town. The view of the lake from the livingroom was lovely. We also were thankful for the coffee and creamers as well as other snacks left for us upon our arrival. Would highly recommend.

Great little house with a gorgeous view

This house was just right for four of us. There is plenty of room to make and have meals together and just hang out. The house was super clean, which is the most important. It is exactly like the pictures on VRBO. It was wonderful to open the curtains each morning and look out at the lake. A little cold to spend much time outdoors so we didn't get to enjoy the kayaks or any water activities. We did take a couple of walks around the lake and the neighborhood is super nice. If you've read other reviews, you know about the road noise. Yup, right there on a busy road, and it was under construction while we were there. A bit tricky trying to turn into the driveway, especially at night but no accidents! Lights from the cars do shine into the bedrooms at night and you can hear the cars/trucks go by. So if you can't deal with the noise I would stay away from here. Almost everything in the house is nice. Beds are comfortable, plenty of pillows, plenty of dishes in the kitchen, etc. Lanai is very comfortable and TV was perfect for the Thanksgiving football games. The dining table and chairs are a little funky and not very comfortable, but they work. All in, this worked very well for us.

Quaint and cozy

The little lake house is exactly as described. Plenty of room and everything you need from cooking utensils to warm blankets. We will definitely be back in warmer weather! The lake views were beautiful and the outside sitting area and grill were a plus!

Perfect

I rented this property for out of town family coming to town for my daughter’s wedding. The house is immaculate and has been completely renovated. My cousins said the beds were very comfortable and slept great. They enjoyed the view of the lake while drinking coffee. Perfect in every way.

The little lake house delivers

This was my second time staying at this property. I came back because it is the most well stocked home I’ve ever stayed in. Kitchen has all you need, plenty of towels and necessities. The house is spotless. I was a little nervous going after a hurricane but I received emails from the property owner assuring me all was good. The lake was higher than normal but that was still perfect. I will be using this property frequently to visit my daughter at college. Dan

Stetson Move in

I started using VRBO years ago and stayed in a variety of places across the country. This house was by far the cleanest and most well stocked of any house I've stayed in. The owner was great from the moment I booked the house. The house in updated in every way possible and loaded with linens, towels and the kitchen is 5 stars. The yard and the lake are amazing. I needed nothing while I was there and the use of the kayaks was a bonus. Any Stetson parents or famillies traveling for sporting events at the school need to stay here. The school is 5 minutes away as are stores with everything you need to put the kitchen a grill to good use. I will be booking this house often to visit my daughter at school and she has already told her roomate they can stay there to get a break from the dorms. Highly reccomend this property and host.

Best view and location in town

Love the location. Easy trips to New Smyrna Beach, downtown Deland. Gorgeous, serene view of the lake. Kayak, jog around the lake, or just sit and take it all in. Nancy thought of everything, just being your clothes.

Lakeside Paradise

This is a beautifully redone home with lots of space and comfortable furniture. We were impressed with the cleanliness of the home (outstanding) and it was fully stocked with kitchen utensils/dishware/pots and plenty of towels. The gift basket with gourmet coffee and snacks was a nice touch. The lake is beautiful with kayaks available for use and a dock for fishing. Lake Winnemissett has plenty of fish, turtles, and birds for viewing. We had an adult hawk and cranes as our daily visitors. The only drawback is the home is located on a busy road, but it is quiet at night. I would highly recommend this property as a place to stay while visiting Deland/surrounding communities. You won't be disappointed.

Welcoming and CLEAN!!!!

We have stayed in at least 10+ different VRBOs over the years and this one by far was the most welcoming. The home was well appointed with everything we needed during our stay. The entire home was clean from top to bottom and we are neat freaks so for us to give this feedback is high praise. The home was decorated beautifully and made us feel right at home. It is located off of a very busy road so the traffic noise is a bit of an issue but the rest of the accommodations (including the beautiful lake view) far outweigh the traffic noise. The property owners even provided brand new (in the box white noise sound machines for those that might need them). We didn't need them but some guests might. Our family took advantage of the free kayaks provided and enjoyed some relaxing time on the lake. Our son caught the biggest bass I think I've ever seen. If we ever need a rental in Deland again then we will definitely choose this property!!!!!

Very nice house

We enjoyed the house the accommodations were perfect for 3 seniors and 2 middle age people beds were great enough hot water for showers back to back. The view is stunning and the host could not have been more attentive to our needs. Thanks Nancy

Beautiful house & Lake; very busy road.

The house is lovely and spotless. Well furnished and comfortable. The kitchen allowed us to really cook. The grill and outdoor table made for perfect lake time. Beds and pillows were excellent, as was living furniture. The main road the house is on is loud. Lots of road noise and headlights in 2 bedrooms at night. Sitting by the lake is pretty, with traffic very loud behind.

Baseball weekend

We were in town to visit family and watch Stetson sports. The little lake house was perfect for us. Communication leading up to our stay and during our stay with Nancy was excellent. She knew we were arriving late so the lights were left on to aid us in finding the house and getting settled in. A welcome gift basket greeted us with lots of nice treats. The beds were comfortable and bedding and towels were like new. The kitchen was well equipped if you wanted to cook meals. Everything needed for coffee was also available. The kitchen, dining area, and den were all clean, neat, and comfortable. Plenty of tv options. The view of the lake was beautiful and enjoyed the back patio area. Nancy had thought of everything down to the small details to ensure our stay was perfect. The house is located on a busy street but it didn’t cause any issues for us. This house was just like it was advertised even better. We would stay here again.
