Walk down a private pathway to access your own studio apartment. Sleep in a queen size bed appointed with 800 thread count linens. New fold out full size sofa sleeper. Kitchenette amenities include coffee maker, electric kettle, induction hot plate, microwave, and refrigerator with freezer. Wall mounted TV screen pulls out and swivels for viewing from the bed. The dining area is situated near light filled glass french-doors with interior louvers. The walk-in shower has sliding glass doors. Washer and dryer are accessible for your use via the bathroom.
Outside the entrance there is wood decking and an enclosed lawn and garden. Ample on-street parking is available in front of the house or on busy weekend nights the street at the rear of the property always has space.
The apartment is reached from a sidewalk that begins at the front right side of the house as you face it. Follow the pathway down to the rear stairs and enter using a touch key pad using an access code we provide you.
Parking: On street parking. Usually there is no problem out front. Sometimes on the weekend evenings it might be a bit more crowded but there is always extra room out back on Alder Ct. Gate access is available in the back yard.

Portland's historic Laurelhurst park is just 4 blocks north with bucolic walking trails, tennis, basketball, and horseshoe courts. Stroll around a beautiful duck filled lake with an island in the middle. It's a great place to dog walk and jog.
Two blocks away is Belmont St. with Zupan's for fresh groceries, and many great unique restaurants and boutiques. There is a wonderful summer street fair with local vendors, food carts and free live performances.
Nearby, a few more blocks to the south, the trendy Hawthorne and Division neighborhoods are also famous for browsing, eating and shopping. The bus stop to downtown is 3 blocks away. The Hollywood district with Trader Joe's is 2 miles north.

Pet Fees: $30 for the duration of the stay. No more than two pets, please. We have the right to refuse a booking if a particular breed sheds too much. Let us know if you need an extra sheet in case your furry companion wants to get up on the bed. We want to make sure that the next guess has no dog hairs to worry about. The back yard is fenced in.
Cleaning fee: $35
Guest Fee: $20 per guest per night. This is outside of family members only.
Note: We have updated some wall pictures. Currently I am unable to upload the new ones due to inadequate file size. I am trying to figure this out. Out back the city has added a water capture garden. Therefore, it is a nice improvement to the back. Again no picture to reflect the upgrade.

About the owner: This home is a typical Portland four-square built in 1908. We have lived here since 2000. We both have a flexible work schedules, so are readily available for recommendations by text and phone. We have a very friendly male black lab, Tucker, who loves to play with other dogs. We are both active cyclists during the summer. Art has hosted over 125 organized group bicycle rides for people and he enjoys showing people areas of Portland that are new to them. We have two town bikes for your use. There are local guides, maps, and brochures you can use to plan your adventure.
