In FOSSE to the south-east of the Ardennes, country gîte called 'le Berceau' referenced by Clévacances with heated swimming pool from April to October and jacuzzi for 5 people. Region of green and wooded plain. We rent a large house in local stone, with 5 large bedrooms, baby equipment (cot, changing table, high chair) ideal for family or friendly gatherings. Spacious veranda and pool relaxation area. Large garden with fruit trees, large trampoline, swings. Barbecue. Museums of the draft horse, beer, crafts, wolf park and hammocks in the trees, horse riding, riding school, horse-drawn carriage 4km away. Fishing in ponds. Castles of Sedan, Bouillon. Abbeys of Orval. Charleville-Mézières 70km, Reims 80km. Many historic sites of the great wars at 60km radius: Verdun, Montmédy, the Maginot Line. Not overlooked. Tranquility and calm. Beautiful walks to do for cyclists and walkers. Small shops and necessities at 4km. Local products. Arts and crafts. Free payment facility for weeks in MS and HS. Very spacious Gité.

A very rural retreat. Lots of nice place to visit. Lovely pool (kids were very happy) and hot tub. Well equipped house. Good place to relax and very quiet. In the heart of the farming community. Very friendly and welcoming owners. Very adaptable with the language barrier. A good place to use as a base to explore the surrounding areas.

Relaxing stay in super quiet countryside village

Valerie was hands-on checking on us twice. Very helpful despite language barrier. Pool was decent size and jacuzzi was major plus. Nearest shop was 5 min drive and hypermarket was 20 minutes. Huge garden and trampoline for the kids. It was a bit of a bother having to cover the Jacuzzi and pool every night, but overall really happy with our stay in Fosse.

Wij mochten een week in dit ruime huis verblijven. We hebben genoten van het zwembad en de jacuzzi. Onze kinderen tussen de 12 jaar en 23 jaar vonden ook de tafeltennistafel en voetbal tafel erg leuk. Het dartbord was er niet. De omgeving was lekker rustig, een enorme stilte heerste er. Wij zijn een dagje naar Parijs geweest. Dat was nog best een stuk rijden, maar wel leuk om er geweest te zijn! En een ochtendje naar de dierentuin die was vrij dichtbij. We mogen terug kijken op een fijne week!

Silvester Reise

Wir hatten eine schöne Reise über die Silvester Feiertage mit einigen Freunden. Die Unterkunft ist sehr rustikal und ländlich in einem kleinen Ort, aber alles wie im Inserat angegeben. Der Whirlpool und die Tischtennisplatte waren super, die Küche gut ausgestattet um vernünftig zu kochen. Leider ist während unseres Aufenthalts das Abwasserrohr einer Toilette defekt gewesen, sodass wir nur eine Toilette nutzen konnten. Die Dame die mit uns die Übergabe gemacht hat sprach überwiegend Französisch, war aber sehr nett. Die Übergabe und Abnahme war sehr ausführlich, es wurde alles überprüft. Die nächste größere Einkaufsmöglichkeit war ca. 20 Minuten entfernt.

Chouette endroit familiale!

Chouette endroit pour un we tranquille entre amis afin de profiter du beau temps! Merci à la proprio qui est très sympa, même s’il faut faire attention car le réseau gsm est mauvais et que s’est difficile de se joindre avec elle (mais il y a du wifi ;)). Très chouette donc, je conseille!

Gîte agréable, très propre et très bon accueil du propriétaire. Seuls bémols, pièces de vies un peu sombre et cuisine peut équipée en vaisselle (manque verres à bière, à vin, à apéro). Limite en poêles et grosses casserole.

Nous avons passé un bon weekend , les enfants se sont éclatés avec le ping ping ,le trampoline, le Baby foot et surtout la piscine par ces fortes chaleurs, la maison était fraîche malgré la canicule et ce fût agréable. Nous avons pu pic niqué en haut du jardin sous les arbres car il dispose d'une table en bois de pic nique et même d'un terrain de pétanque. Tout y est pour que les enfants s'amusent. Habitant en ville ça nous a changé car il y a des champs partout avec vaches et moutons. La gérante est très sympathique.

Un séjour apprécié par toute la famille !

Le gîte possède toutes les qualités requises pour un chouette séjour en famille. Les activités intérieures et extérieures ont plu à tout le monde et il y avait de quoi s'amuser pour tous les âge. Les espaces sont encore mieux en vrai que sur les photos et permettent d'accueillir sans se marcher dessus les 10 adultes et 2 enfants que nous étions. Un minuscule bémol sur les instructions orales et écrites très nombreuses qui peuvent sembler un peu lourdes à l'arrivée, mais qui semblent légitimes pour des propriétaires voulant conserver un logement et des installations en bon état pour les vacanciers suivants. Nous avons apprécié la gentillesse de la propriétaire et son investissement dans l'écologie à travers le tri des déchets. Tout le monde était triste de quitter ce petit coin de paradis.

Séjour détente dans une agréable propriété

Un grand merci à Valérie et Sylvain pour leur accueil et leur dispo durant notre séjour. Nous avons passé 5 jours de détente inoubliable dans cette belle maison, le jardin avec balançoire et trampoline est un bonheur pour les enfants et que dire du jacuzzi. On reviendra avec grand plaisir profiter de la piscine.

Semaine de location en famille plus qu'agréable. Piscine toujours à bonne température, détente dans le jacuzzi. Tout est bien pour un séjour reposant. Seul bémol, la distance importante des grandes surfaces, mais n'est pas la rançon de la tranquillité.

Triste souvenir

Nous sommes venus en famille fêter l'anniversaire de notre maman. Malheureusement nous avons eu un incendie en faisant cuire de l'huile. Aucun extincteur n'était visible. Nous avons appris par la suite que l'extincteur était caché pour éviter des débordements (certains locataires avaient utilisé l'appareil pour s'amuser). Nous avons donc dû aller chercher ceux de nos voitures, ce qui a permis au feu de se propager. Mis à part l'extrême stress subi lors de cette soirée, le mari de la propriétaire s’est amusé à passer ses doigts sur les murs et les plafonds pour amplifier les dégâts, laissant ainsi des traces noires. Malgré la bonne indemnité qu'elle a reçue de l'assurance, la propriétaire ne nous a rendu que la moitié de la caution nous accusant, près d’un mois après notre départ (le contrat stipule que les dégâts sont à signaler dans les 8 jours) d’avoir tâché le sommier de la chambre du bas que nous n’avions même pas utilisé. Seul le matelas avait été emmené à l’étage. Après l’incendie elle a voulu nous faire signer le contrat de location alors que ceci aurait dû être fait à l’entrée. Ce gîte n’est pas sécurisé (aucune règle de sécurité affichée, pas d’extincteur) et la propriétaire n’est pas honnête.

Maison confortable et accueillante. Nous apprécions vraiment le jardin, la piscine et bien évidemment le jacuzzi! Le trampoline fait également le bonheur des enfants. L'environnement est très calme et idyllique pour passer un moment en famille ou avec des amis.

gîte agréable, parfait pour plusieurs familles. Un plus pour les activités à l'intérieur (baby foot, ping pong) et à l'extérieur (trampoline, spa) Propriétaire agréable et donne de bons conseils. Nous avons visité le musée de la bière à Stenay ainsi que le musée de Romagne 14-18 (à conseiller). Nous vous recommandons ce gîte.
