Converted to a high standard, it still retains rare features of when the property was a working farmhouse including its own arched millroom, now a beautifully furbished living space.
A separate kitchen and dining area also retains the ambiance of times gone by when it was the heart and centre of rural family life. The old back garden has been turned into a spacious sun lounge and sizable pool, with a build in Bbq area to one side, ideal for a summer evening meal.
The property sleeps 8, in four rustically furnished bedrooms (one ensuite) on the first floor, all of which retain old original features, some with arches spanning the room and others with stone roof side supports, quite rare to find in present day Gozo. The bedrooms are accessible through a wide airy corridor overlooking the pool area, again an old feature which takes you back centuries and gives the place a serene and cool ambiance. This floor is also service with two separate shower rooms.
Facilities include a well equipped kitchen, flat TV, DVD and free Wifi, while the bedrooms enjoy Air-condition units that are available with an electronic coin system (€1 & €2 coins) installed at property with a screen to display the credit remaining, each AC unit consumes around € 2 per night.
Tap Water in Malta and Gozo is not suitable for drinking. Baron Holiday Homes has teamed with H2only water provider in order to have their water dispensers ready in the property. Each 19 litres water jug cost €5.00 and are not included in the accommodation price, however you can order this service with us before your arrival (at least 1 week before) and we can make sure to have it ready at property on your arrival.

Our first impression on entering this property was "wow" - although the property looked beautiful on the website, it was even better than we expected. It is HUGE! It has a very interesting lay-out, lots of lovely, historic features and a large, sunny pool and garden. The booking with the Baron Group was fast and seamless with a great welcome - with strict instructions to call the rep. at any time should we require anything at all, day or night - and lots of tips on how best to enjoy our stay on Gozo. I would definitely use this company again and can't recommend them, or the property, highly enough. Thank you for everything.
The property was amazing, clean and cool. The outside sun area was everything the photos promised with a lovely sized pool.the beds where a little hard but over all our time there was brilliant. We couldn't have asked for more
We had a family holiday in the Ponderosa for a week in May. On arrival the property had that wow factor. There were seven adults and a child in our party and this property was big enough that we were not in each others pockets. The area is very quite, except when the honkers come in the mornings!! I would advise that you hire a car as Victoria is a 15 minute drive away. There is a couple of local shops which you can walk to however they are 15 minutes away.
On arrival we went for a "big shop" which we did in the new Lidl's. They have everything you would need. Your basics, bread and milk you can get in the local shop. We ate out twice while in Gozo. They were in Marsalforn. The first was called Arzella, which had a lovely spot in the bay, the food was very good and worth a visit. The other was called smugglers Cave. The food was again very good and the owner Vincent was very nice and made sure we all enjoyed. He also gave me a bottle of wine on leaving as it was my birthday. Both were very reasonable on prices.
I would recommend this property and area for families. We all had a lovely holiday.
Larger than portrayed in the description; well fitted out; plenty of outdoor space, the pool needed maintenance during the week it was green by the end of the week! A shame that the downstairs bedroom was so far away from the cloakroom; would be helpful if there was clearer information of the layout of rooms; info said sofa bed in fact it was a proper bed; upstairs one room was shown having 3 single beds only had two. When sharing with other families this information is important. Excellent having fly screens on the windows and some doors. Clean throughout; we would definitely go again. Some good restaurants in the area; don't recommend the one in the village, good food in Marsalforn and nearby Xlendi. Good local shops didn't have to go to Victoria.
The farmhouse was in a very quiet location and not overlooked.Would recommend.
