Can’t wait to go back !

This was one of the best places we have stayed in all our travels. Isabelle and Christian were the perfect hosts. They were very kind and made our experience memorable. The house is located within easy walking distance of the town center, and Albi is a delightful community. We can’t wait to go back !

The petite paradise

The house is situated on the site of an old legume and salad farm and the hosts still cultivate all types of fruit and veg which is fascinating. They also have sheep and chickens on the property. The property is ideally located on the Tarn river just up stream from Albi old town which can be seen from the river deck. Only a ten minute walk into town. We loved our stay as we walked everywhere in Albi as well as exploring the perched villages and Riverside towns. Swimming was chilly in May. Try Trebas for a river swim or one of the lakes nearby. The hosts are lovely, very generous with their produce and local knowledge. He was born on the property and our house used to be his grandfather's. Such a lovely place to visit for site seeing and relaxing.

A little slice of the country life

We really loved our time visiting Albi. Part of that is due to the beautiful city itself, and part is due to the tranquil taste of country life that Christian and Isabelle have managed to maintain at this property, virtually in the shadow of the cathedral. The hosts, who live in another house on the property, are very friendly and hospitable. We had only been in the house a few minutes when they knocked on the door with a basket of beautiful tomatoes (delicious!) and grapes from their garden. They also had us to dinner one evening, as well as for drinks on another evening when they had some English-speaking friends over. The house itself is comfortable and attractive. I will say that the kitchen furnishings were a little more basic than many we encounter, but there was a coffee maker and a toaster, so we were good! We really appreciated that they offered us a late checkout time. That allowed us to enjoy one more morning of coffee on the little dock and a relaxed breakfast that included the last of the tomatoes, before getting everything into the car and putting the house in order.

Un sejour tres agreable

Tres bel endroit au bord du Tarn

Un tres comfortable maisonette qui beneficie d un accès direct au Tarn avec ponton et barque et, de là, une vue magnifique sur la cathédrale St Cécile ! Proprietaires tres sympas .

Délicieusement apprécié

Bonjour, Nous avons passé des vacances fantastiques ! Nous pêchions beaucoup et pêchions beaucoup. Ce qui ressortait, c'était la diversité des types de poissons. Attrapé à la fois du poisson-chat et de la carpe et les enfants pêchés principalement avec la perche, la tanche, le barbeau, le gigbel, le gros gardon et la petite carpe. Il y avait un grand potager, nous avons donc reçu plusieurs fois des légumes frais des propriétaires. Nous en avons fait de délicieux repas. Albi est une ville belle et propre et nous l'avons visitée plusieurs fois. La cathédrale est fortement recommandée et doit être vue. Dans l'ensemble, nous avons passé d'excellentes vacances! Excellent séjour

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour avec nos trois enfants dans cette maison, avec un excellent accueil. La maison est très bien équipée, le jardin est agréable avec le potager et les arbres fruitiers, et le ponton au calme au bord de l'eau. Une bonne localisation pour visiter Albi (le centre est accessible à pied) et ses environs.

Notre séjour à Albi s'est déroulé dans les meilleures conditions. La propriété était entièrement conforme à l'annonce, la maison est très propre, bien située par rapport à Albi et aux sorties d'autoroute. Les propriétaires sont très sympathiques et nous ont réservé un accueil parfait. Nous recommandons ce gite sans hésitation. Albi est une ville intéressante et ses environs sont magnifiques.

SEJOUR A ALBI

Nous avons passé un séjour très agréable dans cette maison, ancienne fermette maraîchère. C'est exceptionnel, la campagne à la ville, au bord du Tarn (ponton pour l'apéro, la pêche et baignages), avec vue sur la basilique Sainte Cécile et les ponts. Maison idéale pour 6 personnes, grande terrasse et parking privé et sécurisé. Ceci pour la description des lieux quant l'accueil, c'est le top. Isabelle et son mari Christian (sans oublier Boris, le fils) ont été charmants ne sachant que faire pour rendre notre séjour agréable (fruits, légumes de leur grand jardin), et diner pour clôturer ces bons moments; nous ne sommes pas là de les oublier et les en remercions encore. Certainement à refaire.,

Quiet Location, house well set out, secure parking

We stayed just over a week and were pleased that we did. The house works well and could accommodate quite a few more than just us. The internet is a little slow, but then the property is in regional France and not a big main city. Albi is a delightful city to visit and though you can walk in from the gite, there is street parking just before the bridge or plenty of paid parking in the old area.

Excellent house & facilities, very helpful owners, quiet area with easy walk to city centre

This was a perfect gîte for our holiday. It is in a very quiet area with a short walk to the city centre. You can walk through the owner’s large garden down to the Tarn River and onto a pontoon with a table and benches with wonderful views of the cathedral and old bridge. The house was very clean with everything you could need. It was hot when we were there, but the house is traditionally built and remained pleasantly cool. The owners, who live next door to the gîte, were very helpful and kind, including giving us fruit and vegetables from their garden and some excellent local wine. Highly recommended.

Comfortable, well equipped Gîte short walking distance from the centre of historic centre of Albi.

After bit of confusion with three houses with the same number in the street we finally arrived to the right house and were welcomed by pleasant and charming Madame Isabelle Couzi. She introduced the house to us and explained all about its appliances. The house was very well equipped with all we needed and very clean. Madame Couzi lent us the bedding and towels. We were not informed to bring our own, which would have been impossible from Australia. Madame Couzi was very helpful and explained to us local customs and what to see during the week we stayed. We have visited the hilltop historical villages and enjoyed local wine, bread and cheeses. However she couldn’t influence the cold weather of April! Thank you Madame Couzi!

idéal

l'endroit idéal pour découvrir Albi, niché à l'écart mais à 15mn du centre ville , au calme et au bord du Tarn avec un ponton donnant une vue magnifique ! Mais le plus, c'est la gentillesse et la discrétion de Mr et Mme COUZI. et que dire de leurs tomates ... Maison impeccable et super équipée avec la clim efficace et 3 chambres séparées à découvrir et nous, à y revenir

Grands habitués des gîtes sur la ville d'Albi, nous avons particulièrement apprécié notre séjour dans ce lieu exceptionnel : maison très fonctionnelle et impeccable avec des hôtes charmants qui nous ont fat profiter pour notre plus grand plaisir des légumes et fruits du jardin. La vue depuis le ponton est, comme beaucoup l'ont déjà écrit, absolument superbe et les promenades en barques et baignades nous ont ravis. Le gîte est à 15 mn maxi à pied du centre ville d'Albi donc nous avons tout pu faire à pied. Nos ados ont passé leur séjour sur le ponton et rêvent déjà d'y retourner.. Merci encore à nos hôtes pour leur accueil chaleureux, leur discrétion et leur grande disponibilité !

Excellent séjour, gîte bien situé, à la fois à la campagne et proche du centre historique, tranquillité assurée dans un cadre verdoyant. SUPERBE

Très belle maison, très bien aménagée et bien que située en ville - 15 mn du centre d'Albi - vous êtes vraiment à la campagne. L'endroit est splendide : au fond du jardin le Tarn avec un ponton d'où on a une vue sur le vieux pont et la cathédrale à vous couper le souffle. Très bon accueil des propriétaires super sympas, très discrets et toujours disponibles. UNE LOCATION A NE MANQUER SOUS AUCUN PRETEXTE et c'est sûr si nous retournons dans le Tarn ce sera chez Monsieur et Madame COUZI.
