A medida que ingresa a la propiedad desde el área de jardín privado en la parte trasera, lo recibe un salón, comedor y cocina de planta abierta que miran directamente a la playa y al océano a través de una pared completa de puertas corredizas de vidrio de longitud completa. Esta habitación permite fantásticas vistas al mar caribeño. La sala de estar está amueblada de forma cómoda y cuenta con un televisor de pantalla plana grande con satélite y DVD, además de equipo de música. Hay un comedor para 8 personas con vista al mar y una bonita cocina totalmente equipada con encimeras de granito.



También en la planta baja, hay un dormitorio de invitados amueblado con 2 camas individuales y baño contiguo. Hay puertas correderas que salen directamente de esta habitación a la terraza privada y más allá de la playa.



En la planta superior hay 2 dormitorios con camas tamaño king, mucho espacio de guardarropas, baños en suite bien terminados (¡vistas al océano desde la ducha!), y terrazas delanteras y traseras para brindarte vistas del océano y la selva. Hay puertas correderas que conducen a la terraza junto al mar, donde podrá relajarse en los asientos acolchados y disfrutar de la vista. Este es también un lugar encantador para relajarse y observar las millones de estrellas en el cielo nocturno del Caribe.



En frente de la villa hay una terraza con sombra y una gran área privada de playa que baja hacia el agua. Hay un montón de tumbonas, una palapa de sombra con asientos hundidos, y también una gran mesa de comedor al aire libre con capacidad para 8. ¡Ideal para comidas al aire libre y comidas al aire libre frente al mar!


En la parte trasera de la villa, Serenity tiene un amplio estacionamiento en la calle, y también una nueva piscina (que se encuentra a través de la puerta en el lote al lado) Los huéspedes de Villa Serenity tienen uso exclusivo de esta piscina durante su estadía) .

Villa Serenity también está convenientemente ubicada a pocos pasos del resort todo incluido Be Live Oasis y del resort Grand Bahia Principe, donde puede comprar pases de un día para usar las instalaciones y el entretenimiento del resort. This may have been an amazing property 25 years ago, but now for sure showing a lack of maintenance and up keep. Rusted out or broken ceiling fans no washer/dryer for a house that holds 6 adults. A kitchen with only a toaster oven. (But, please note that Rita the housekeeper was amazing and the home was cleaned every day with fresh towels and linens.)Please note that the “private” pool is shared by the 4 villas, and we had to move lounge chairs from the beach to the pool as there was no where to sit. If you are not comfortable renting a car, then this for sure is not a property for you. All properties in Mexico have some sort of security, but this was our first experience having a guard sit on our beach chairs from sunset to sunrise.Was staying on the beach amazing, it was, but it was no where near the an offset to what we expected for a 2700 one week stay. This last comment is not about the property, but something that all travelers considering the Quinta Roo area (Cancun and south) is Sargassum aka very tiny seaweeds that ends up in huge piles on the beach that rots and skinks like garbage on a hot from April to October. We had to deal with it in Playa del Carmen in June 2024 and this trip as well. It complete covers the coast line and there is no escaping the smell.

So the rotten egg smell pervaded everything, and we could not use the beach or swim in the ocean. It would be fantastic when there isn't a sea grass infestation.

Tortuga Vacation!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed at Villa Serenity for 10 days and found the property very comfortable and appropriate for our needs. The caretakers, Elias and Rita, were terrific, answering any questions and did a great job. The most exciting part of the vacation were the giant loggerhead sea turtles who were nesting in the backyard. According to the volunteers (we called them the "Madres de Tortugas") the turtles laying their eggs were the same turtles hatched in the same area 20 years ago! The only downside was the Sargasso Grass on the beach, which made it hard to use the beach because flies were quite thick and the smell was strong. We used the pool instead and went to several cenotes in the area. A bit sad to get a house on the beach and not be able to use the beach, but that is the fault of Global Warming and not the house. The turtles made it exciting though! We saw tracks almost every day and had two nighttime sightings! Akumal has a nice tourist plaza that had some lovely restaurant's. We ate at Turtle Bay Cafe and Bakery twice. Food was terrific, Ruby served us both times and was equally delightful! There's also a fabulous seafood restaurant in the same plaza. All in all, a lovely vacation.

Relaxing vacation

Lovely staff and owners. Sargassum was a disappointment but you can’t predict that. Little ants wanted to be in food so put everything in containers! Beds were comfortable, pool adequate. View was outstanding. Secure and safe.

Beautiful despite all the sargassum

My kids first time out of the country! It’s a beautiful place! So happy we booked a place ON the beach! Unfortunately the seaweed was extremely bad!! There was no way to enjoy the beach at all & the smell was strong-couldn’t stand to have the windows open to enjoy the ocean waves. Pool is shared.There wasn’t really any instructions provided on checkin/checkout procedures like I have had at other rentals. We weren’t aware the AC had a ‘remote’ to control the settings. So the first night it was humid! I contacted the property manager and they came to look at our AC. We got it working on our own & then later realized you needed to POINT the remote at the AC unit. I think this was just a communication issue (& me being ignorant to this type of AC.Our groceries we had preordered to be at our rental didn’t arrive until after we were already there. I thought they would be there when we arrived but I had assumed & didn’t ask directly when I had ordered. We ended up walking over to the Beach Bikini Bar & ate. Very good food! It seemed like there was only 1 waitress/bartender working it & she was kind. My family & I had arranged to rent paddle boards-thankful I cancelled once I saw the seaweed. It would have been nice to have known about the seaweed & not be sold on.We had a great time with non-beach activities: private fishing, Akumal Natura Rescue, PRIVATE tour: ruins, turtles & cenote; eating in Akumal. Best food ever! Way better than Bahai Príncipe resort food!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Villa Serenity is great. The property was really clean, well appointed and well worked well. Having a daily cleaning service was really nice. The villa is right on the nicest stretch of beach in the area which is also pretty quiet and felt very safe. The pool is heated which is a bonus and a really nice option to have. You do really need a car to stay here as it's a little way out from any restaurants and supermarkets etc. Nearest restaurants are about 10 mins drive, although there is a beach bar 100yds away! The road to get to the villa from the main road could use some maintenance but we were fine in a small car. Akumal Direct were great to deal with, good communication and information provided before arrival etc. Hopefully we'll be back in future!

Lovely beachfront property

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house is in a quiet part of the small community. Open the back doors and you step right on the beach. You can snorkel directly out to a mini reef and easily see some tropical fish, including angel fish, damsels, and flounders. We came during low season so some of the bedrooms smelled a little stale when we first arrived (likely from the house being shut up) but keeping the doors open solved that problem. It wasn’t spotless but it’s a beach front property so that’s hard to do. The kitchen is decently set up. Water pressure is great. The house comes with filtered drinking water, which was nice to find. The hosts out back were wonderful, super helpful. There is a restaurant a few houses down on the beach we could walk to for some meals and take out that worked out well for us. Just a note, the back patio is quite slippery when you first step out of the outdoor shower. The older people in our group struggled with this.

Comfy Home, Right on the Beach!

Our family (my husband & I with our 3 teens) don’t a week in Akumal in July 2024 and loved it! We’d definitely return to this home and to Akumal. Pros: Good ac - cold and all over the home Books available - nice touch, my son read 3 that were provided Towels/linens - luxurious & plentiful Showers - roomy with great water pressure Purified water available Ely & Rita - made the stay so comfortable by keeping both indoors and outdoors clean and comfortable Big dining table - sat all five of us no problem Closets - roomy Beach/patio seating - plenty of seating at the table, on the patio and on the beach!

Fantastic house and location

We’ve stayed in multiple homes in this small stretch of Akumal and this property is one of the best! Great experience in every way, from check in to daily interaction with the housekeeper, security, the beach, etc. We loved our time here and 100% recommend the property to anyone seeking to escape to a quiet little piece of paradise.

Awesome place

This property was the perfect setup and location for our family of five. The kids loved the pool, the attractions near by were fun, the ocean gorgeous, location was safe and hosts were great. We definitely fell in love with the place and can’t wait to return.

Nothing beats being able to step right outside the back porch right onto a groomed and clean beach front. Overall accommodations were great, Rita was consistent with cleaning and doing laundry (she even did the dishes)! Ramon, the night security guard sometimes scared us walking up to the house at night via the beach, but it was great knowing we were being looked out for. Ely was there to greet us when we arrived and made himself available for any needs, which we wound up not needing him considering the great care property amenities. The A/C was spot on and made a huge difference! Definitely recommend this place and the bikini bar just a few houses down the beach was very convenient.

Wonderful week on the beach

Villa serenity for our family of 6 perfectly. Private beach with life jackets, sand toys, and kayaks. Rita was so helpful in housekeeping and made us a delicious meal. Alejandro was available via text to answer questions and was a great resource for answering questions and booking excursions. Wonderful place by the ocean, yet away from the big resort feel.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The condo more than met my expectations! Everything worked- the fridge, water purifier, coffee machine, microwave, oven ! And best of all the AC- in all bedrooms and main area. Very nice caretaker Ellie and housekeeper Rita. There a few floats, fins and life jackets also. Bring your own snorkel and mask.It is just steps to the beach. We didn’t use the pool in the back but it looked clean.We used the purified water provided and were fine. I highly recommend getting groceries delivered from riviera Maya as the nearest store is 20 minutes away.

Wonderful Beach House

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great time at this spot. Best stretch of beach and a quiet neighborhood. The pool was very nice and warm - kitchen was well stocked and beds were very comfortable. The staff did a wonderful job of keeping the house clean and helped with anything we needed. Great area to stay in - close to all the local attractions while being away from the craziness of the larger towns in the area. Our favorite day trips were Cenote Azul, Yal-ku Lagoon - just make sure you go the old entrance. We also had a great dinner at La Buena Vida and a good lunch at Lol-Ha Restaurant. We did do a day trip to the ruins in Tulum - the ruins were interesting and in a beautiful spot but be aware of the amount of haggling you will need to do to park and get tickets. Also if you want to do a day trip to Tulum to see the beach etc. we found that you need pay lots of $$$ to get a spot at one of the beach clubs to even see the water. The little bar/retaurant two doors down from the house - Bikini Bar is a great little spots for drinks. We would definite recommend this house and would stay here again.

Akumal November Getaway

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall our experience was good but we felt some things weren't as advertised and need attention. The best part of this property is the beach, hands down. Also, Eli and Rita are wonderful and took great care of us all. Things that were disappointing: No bedside lamp of any kind in the downstairs bedroom (We needed Eli to find us a lamp so we werent stuck with the single overhead fan lamp shining from above while trying to relax. The cement couches arent very comfortable and dont accommodate more than 2 or 3 people at a time. The stove requires a lighter to ignite. The toaster oven control/lettering are all worn off making it confusing to use. The refrigerator/freezer quits cooling, randomly, risking lots of food and safety. The pool is clean and refreshing but there are only TWO chaise's available and they had lots of bird droppings on them that was cleaned off despite asking. Definitely not enough seating for 6 people. The road into the condo from the highway is in horrible condition. Last, the pictures used in the listing must be fairly dated as the property doesnt look much like them. We did enjoy being able to run down to Tulum or up to Play del Carmen. We loved being able to walk down the beach to the beachside restaurants. The kayaks were a nice touch as was the well groomed beach. We enjoyed our stay but wish some things, as above, were in better condition and more comfortable.

Reviewer Comments: We had a fabulous time at Villa serenity everything that we could possibly need or want was there for us, including a security guard, Rita who took care of us daily, and even someone to clear the sand and take care of the outside. Ramon shared with us the hatching Tortugas each night! It was a fabulous trip and we will definitely do it. Again thank you to the owners for providing this opportunity for our family!
