October 2024 review

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have stayed in this unit before. My dad likes it because it’s one of few that has a recliner in the living room. He has to sleep sitting up so he sleeps in a recliner. He said he wished they would get a new one. I sat in it and it was kinda “lumpy” feeling. Other than that I wouldn’t change a thing! We will be back next year for sure! (Hopefully with a new recliner in the living room)

August vacation

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have stayed at HS for about 15 years now. This trip we had to call maintenance on Sunday as the kitchen lights stopped working. The maintenance man said it was not the bulbs but the entire mechanism. It did not get fixed until Tuesday as Maintenance was busy with scheduled pest control. Later in the week when heating up food, the glass plate in the microwave popped into pieces. Maintenance was very quick to handle the issue. A few suggestions for HS, when a guest is checking in.. ask if they are a returning guest. After driving for hours (12) the spiel of the check in procedure is too long. If it’s a returning guest maybe a quick highlight if there are changes from the previous season, obtain any other info by an email ahead of time. The 3 hoses on the bridge are great but add the others back. The bridge was getting clogged up with people waiting for hoses. If the others are added back, more people could use them on the dock area and thin out the bridge users. All staff was nice. Aside from the unusual maintenance issues, the room was perfect. Thank you HS for a wonderful Aug. vacation.

7th summer in a row to vacation at Holiday Surf and Raquet

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have NEVER had any issues at HSR. It is our absolute favorite. However, we had a toilet that didn’t flush. According to the front desk a work order was submitted before we even got there. They assured us that it would be fixed first thing in the morning. That did not happen. The desk told me there was only one maintenance person, but only 1 toilet for 4 people is not easy or acceptable which is why we paid for 2 bathrooms. My husband ended up fixing it and we didn’t hear anything at all again from the desk or the maintenance person the rest of the week. Other than that the condo was great.

Beautiful Destin

We have stayed at this location in the past and just love the location. The condo was extremely clean. We got to see dolphins very close. The staff was so polite and the beach boys as well. Will definitely be staying here again.

The unit was beautifully and tastefully decorated. The unit was very clean and updated. I felt like I was in a 5 star hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. If you're going to Destin, I would highly recommend this property. You will feel like you're in paradise.There's nothing more peaceful than sitting on the balcony at night listening to the waves. I will definitely return and stay in unit 720. I will never stay anywhere else when I vacation in Destin.

Disappointed in Owners Nonresponse and Uncooperativeness

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very unhappy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We didn't make the trip due to an injury sustained a few days prior to leaving. Tried messaging the owners and received no response. I had also messaged right after booking with a question and never received a response. Tried to work something out with the owners due to an emergency and ended up losing my vacation and money.

Satisfied Snowbird Renter for Many Years

Very nice and well equipped unit. Great view from the balcony. Very friendly and helpful staff. We had to deal with some maintenance projects going on during our stay, but worth it in order to maintain the excellent condition of this property. We have stayed in various units in this property for more than 40 years. Have always enjoyed our stays, whatever time of year.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Everything looked so clean and new, as if we were the first to ever stay there. I had a perfect view of the beach and ocean. I sat on the balcony every morning to watch the sunrise. The furniture and decor was very nice, looked highend to me. I could not believe the amount of dishes and utensils and everything you could think of to cook and serve with. Full size fridge, oven and dishwasher, was just like home, but better! Can't wait til next time!

Clean & Cozy, but needs Update

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The pictures for this unit are deceptive; it was much smaller than perceived, especially the balcony. Both bathrooms are in dire need of a more modern update; the fiberglass tub and plastic shower curtains needs to go!! The sink basin and countertops were small. The spare toilet tank refill valve was broken, (toilet ran constantly after flush), but was fixed during our stay. Also, the TiVo box was not working for the main TV, (none of the channels on menu could be seen), which was also fixed during our stay.

Wonderful Stay

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family returns every year to HSandRC. Beautiful rooms, friendly staff and gorgeous beach/water. Umbrella/chair company has very friendly and accommodating employees. A few suggestions:. Random people should not be allowed to set up their chairs front and center of the U shape // add recycle containers to the property. Thank you!
