This property is ideally located for a trip to Edinburgh, being close to the centre of the city, but not in an overwhelmingly touristy part of town. There are also a good number of supermarkets and other stores nearby, as well as some great pubs. The apartment was incredibly clean when we arrived and getting into the accommodation was straightforward. The property has everything needed (wifi, microwave, dishwasher...) and it was ideal for our stay. Some things to note: there isn't a separate lounge - just the two bedrooms and the kitchen. This wasn't a problem for us, but it's helpful to plan for this in advance. The road outside was also pretty noisy, so earplugs were essential. But these issues did not detract from what is a great property in a superb location.
Great location. Comfortable for a family or two couples who don’t mind sharing a bathroom.

The property was clean and bright and the beds were very comfortable. Don't be put off by the street door and hallway, once inside the property it was lovely and had everything you wanted. The area was great too.
Great location, clean and comfortable. The only minor negative are the photos that lead you to believe that there is a separated living room, but it is actually inside one of the bed chamber.
The apartment is in the perfect location to explore Edinburgh. It looked like the photos and has the listed amenities. We especially appreciated the tumble dryer. The beds were comfortable for a great night of sleep, though the street noise may be bothersome to light sleepers. We enjoyed our stay!
This was the perfect place for our 3 adults and 2 tweens to launch our Scotland adventure. We were able to walk nearly everywhere or get to the tram stop for further away areas. There is a 24/7 convenience store next door and a Black Sheep Coffee across the street for a quick breakfast. Only having one flight of stairs was an added bonus.
The location was within walking distance of almost everything. Great location and a bit more quiet than on the royal mile. Close enough to travel to new town by foot and catch transportation there was well. Happy with the location.
Absolutely fabulous location! It was easy to walk to everything. Check-in and out went smoothly. Barry is very easy to communicate with and responds very quickly. The bed was very comfortable. The only minor thing to note was that the online pictures didn't quite match the actual flat. The layout, kitchen, bathroom, matched but the furniture/decor (lamps couch beds) didn't although they were similar. The pictures need to be updated. Overall though, I would highly recommend staying there.
Great location close to main attractions of the city. Easy access to public transportation via short walk. Lots of restaurants, cafes and grocery nearby. Full laundry in apartment was a bonus to have.
The place was tidy, however the high traffic touch areas on the walls and doors could use a deep cleaning.
Overall a wonderful place to stay for our 5 days.
At first, the outside area might look sketchy. It is not! Great restaurants! Walking distance to Edinburg Castle/Royal Mile. Not a bad walk to other areas. Would not recomend walking from train station with luggage.Would recommend having info on local areas of interest. Opening the direct apartment door was a very plesant surprise. We would stay again and eat at more of the restaurants on the block.
My friends and I were in town and were able to book our stay at this Vrbo. We really enjoyed ourselves in the city as well as in the apartment. It had everything we needed, even a hair dryer as a bonus (the little things) it was plenty spacey enough for the three of us and we were really happy. It was also really nice having a full kitchen with a small fridge and stove to cook on. The location had plenty of places to eat and drink and a few grocery stores/pharmacies on the street. Although it wasn’t in city center, it was such a short walk to get there. I would definitely stay here again. Thank you, Barry!
Great location, a bit loud, but we would recommend it
Everything was good. Easy check-in with early check- in for an extra £15, very central. A bit loud but it was ok. A little too small for 6 persons but we were just sleeping there.
The couch was a little old and not suitable for adults…
And the apartment was not very clean…
The rest was good.
Our flat was clean and cozy feeling especially the principal bedroom. Check in was easy, there is a lock box on the outside door. The beds were comfortable and the bedding was pristine with a few pillows for extra comfort. The kitchen felt a little stark, no window or art. But overall clean. The kitchen is not well equipped. No oven mitts, no spatula to flip an egg, very little cutlery and plates and dish washing soap is supplied. They want the dishwasher run which is ok if there was enough plates, glasses and utensils to get you through two meals a day. Barry (the property manager) was pleasant and very responsive to messages. Overall, I would recommend this property.

Badly equipped, noisy
Unfortunately, the best things we can say about this apartment is that is very centrally situated, which meant that getting to wherever we wanted to be was very easy and plenty of cafés and food shops were in easy distance. And that the apartment was thankfully in much better condition than the entrance hall that made us feel like we were about to have short-lived roles as Victims 1-5 of a Netflix true crime documentary. The rooms were not well insulated against the noise of the busy street outside and the ambulances blaring past at all times of the day and night were pretty disturbing. Ear plugs are a must! We were a party of 5, and were disappointed to find there wasn't enough cutlery nor crockery for us all to eat our badly cut bread (no bread knife) at the rickety table, on the cheap plastic red chairs, in the fluorescently lit cave of a kitchen. Please note, there is no living room in this apartment, other than a sofa (that doubles as a bed for when there's more than 4) in one of the draughty bedrooms. It was lucky that we had the wheelchair of one of our party on which to hang our coats, as there were no hooks to use. I have just been reminded that I forgot the toilet brush. I was not the only one.We are disappointed, especially considering the price.

Thank you for reviewing our apartment and I’m sorry that your stay did not meet with your expectations.
The buildings in the centre of Edinburgh are around 200 years old and as such have communal stairs leading to the apartment which reflect that. We do ensure that our apartments are renovated to the highest standard however. Being the centre of Edinburgh I would agree that some people might benefit from using earplugs but the apartment does have newly installed double glazed windows.
Thank you for the comments on our location. We are surrounded by cafes and only a short walk to Edinburgh castle, the grassmarket and Princes st.
Emplacement parfait.

The location, two separate bedrooms with comfortable big beds were a big plus. But best of all was the washer & DRYER! Most apartments I’ve rented have a washer, but no dryer. Only suggestion is to provide more towels. We’d stay here again if we return to Edinburgh.
Being from the states, we forgot that the first floor overseas is NOT the ground floor. We had very heavy luggage and there is no lift. So we three 60+ women had to find a way to get it all up 27 steps! The apartment has wonderful beds! But there is no living room, as it appears in the pictures. The couch is in one of the bedrooms. The kitchen was adequate - we didn't do any cooking but there is a dishwasher and appliances to make tea and coffee. The bathroom is large, but I would recommend some kind of non-slip mat for the shower as the tub is very slippery. The washer/dryer worked well.
There was a lot of graffiti outside the apartment, but once inside we felt safe. There was a lot of trash on the street outside the apartment so leaving the windows open wasn't an option. There was a Hop On/Hop Off bus stop right across the street, which was very convenient.
