Comfortable and convenient access to the area

Great location close to town and the national park while still removed from the town bustle. The main living area is well arranged to enjoy the excellent view of Long's peak. The amenities work well, the furniture is comfortable, and the cabin feels finished and welcoming.

Choose this Cabin!

My boyfriend and I stayed in Eric's cabin the first week of October and, while it was much colder than expected, we were not disappointed in the experience! This cabin has everything anyone could look for. It's about 5 to 10 minutes right outside of Estes Park, 5 minutes from one of the entrances to RMNP, stocked with all kinds of pots and pans, spices (salt, pepper, garlic powder, etc.), coffee filters, and dishes and cutlery. The cabin has some of the most incredible views we have ever seen; Longs Peak can be seen from just about every window in the house. We saw elk, chipmunks, and bunnies daily and even more animals within the park. This cabin is very clean and has just about everything besides food and condiments. We were a little disappointed with the feel of the beds, however. We felt like the bed downstairs was quite hard and uncomfortable, so we moved to sleeping in the bed in the loft and were still disappointed with the discomfort. Other than the beds not being comfortable for us, we were not disappointed with our visit here. We used the grill and the fireplace daily. Being able to use the fireplace made the cabin feel that much more like "home." If you've never been to RMNP, it's a must see and do! This park continued to blow our minds throughout our trip with the amount of animals and picturesque landscape views we were able to see. I would highly recommend visiting as we will be returning and we will definitely think about renting from Eric again. He was fantastic with replying (within an hour) when I had questions to ask as well as impeccable driving directions to the cabin. I'm always hesitant with written driving directions, but he does a fantastic job at perfectly describing how to get to the cabin. As far as Estes Park goes, it's quite a cute and quaint little town. We did not eat out here, so no restaurants to recommend, but there seems to be a restaurant and a shop that would fit everyone's fancy. There is a Safeway that has all groceries needed and has a Redbox as well. We had a great vacation and will be back for sure! We would 100% recommend renting this cabin!

Loved, loved, loved Kiefer Cabin. Nicely decorated just like pictures! Clean and well stocked!

My sister and I had a perfect stay in the mountains! The cabin was perfect to return to after exploring Rocky Mountain National Park. Furnishings are attractive and comfortable. It was very clean and very well stocked( better than other places I've stayed at). Great location and you can't beat the view! One night we had a bugling elk visit us and the day we left a small group passed down the hill.

Eric is extremely responsive and helpful! A great owner! It is a very special place and I definitely will return! Thanks Eric!

Where to begin... Everything about reserving the cabin, the cabin it's self along with the location was Fantastic! Eric responded quickly and was very accommodating with our needs. There were 5 adults and 1 child in our party and we all loved the cabin so much; did not want to leave! The first night, there were 5 deer in the yard and later on a herd of elk made their way from across the road up to the cabin, it was awesome!

I would highly recommend this cabin, the location to town and to the National Park was perfect! Thank you so much Eric and Ingra for making our stay in Estes Park very memorable!

Very comfortable and great views of Long's Peak and Elk

  • 5 of 5

Our family of four loved this cabin. The views of Long's Peak, seeing elk and coyote in the yard right outside the large and numerous Windows, and less frenetic location was fantastic. This is all in addition to the very comfortable, clean and relaxing cabin itself. Our kids were very sad to go, and want to return again. We will definitely look into renting it again!

Just as advertized!

Kiefter Cabin was the perfect spot for our annual girls hiking trip. It was such a short distance to RMNP entrance and also to Estes Park. The cabin was extremely well-equipped and everything was found to be exactly as pictured in the ad. We also greatly appreciated Eric's assistance on navigating from the Denver Airport to Estes Park. Travelers be aware of the hidden toll roads and fees imposed by rental car companies!
