Love of the View - Glen Rose Luxury Cottage

This beautiful 740 square foot luxury cottage has breathtaking panoramic views of Chalk Mountain and is close to the antique shops and eateries in the historic town of Glen Rose, Texas.

Relax and breathe deeply as you enter onto this 30 acre property. This unique luxury cottage was designed and decorated to reflect the look and feel of a fine Texas Ranch House combining Old-Texas charm with an open layout. This is an architectural gem, with gorgeous and plentiful modern amenities.

Outside the wide back porch offers a cool spot of shade overlooking a magnificent view for relaxing and looking out over the surrounding hills. In the evenings, it's a perfect place to gather with your love one or alone to take in the sunset. It's far from the lights of the city as you will be able to see the stars at night.

Located at the owners private home a gorgeous swimming pool was completed in 2015, a short 3 minute walk around the hill from the cottage. Guest may enjoy pool time 10:00 am to 4:00pm. If owners happen to be home during your rental, they will give you complete privacy should you choose to use the pool. Feel free to come relax around the pool and enjoy the amazing views. Additional pool usage times maybe available upon request.
There is a private hot tub right beside the cottage that you can use anytime. Just take the cover off adjust the temperature and please turn temperature back down and put cover back on.

No kids allowed, sorry no exceptions. Feel free to visit our other property, 3-Shy Ranch, where kids and large groups can be accommodated.

Love of the View

We enjoyed our visit very much. We went there to relax and between the sun and the water in the pool and the hot tub, we succeeded. The cabin was very nicely furnished with obvious care given to the selection of furniture and decorations. If we’re lucky, we’ll stay there again sometime.

Absolutely love, Love Of The View!

Amazing views, great cabin that had everything we needed! Enjoyed the hot tub too! Great fall mornings out on the back patio. We will go back!

Wonderful property and a wonderful host. Everything from start to finish was a five star experience. Close to town but not too far out of town. Awesome view from the back patio while enjoying your morning coffee.

Stayed Friday - Sunday we brought everything so we didn’t have to leave. Enjoyed being unplugged from everything, relaxing in the hot tub, pool, back porch. The vies are wonderful, cool breezes kept it cool. All the amenities you need inside, nice and cool. Great little getaway for unplugging

Great, comfy cabin with beautiful views off the back porch. Located in the front of the cabin is a pergola with table and a private hot tub. There is a walk to the pool that is directly behind the owners house, but we brought a wagon and it was very manageable to get to the pool with our stuff in about 2 minutes. We had a great time and the owners were very nice. Would recommend and visit this location again!

Heaven on Earth

When you visit this secluded cabin in the hills between Glen Rose, TX and Stephenville, TX you will understand why it’s called “Love of the View!” The views from the porch are breathtaking and the cabin was decorated like something out of a magazine! The host LaQuita was great! We look forward to returning very soon!

Beautifully decorated cottage with a wonderful view

This cottage was a great place to celebrate our 48th anniversary. Our stay in this beautiful cottage near Glen Rose was both relaxing and fun. Eating our meals on the back balcony with a beautiful view, relaxing in our personal hot tub, enjoying the owners beautiful pool, feeding the goats and donkeys, touring the wildlife park, downtown Glen Rose and Dinosaur State Park and enjoying local restaurants all made our celebration trip very memorable. Our host was very friendly and made sure everything was just right.

Exquisite beauty

So much more than you can see in the pictures, the view is exquisite. If you’re looking to get away and enjoy some peace and quiet, this location provides that and so much more!!! You can sit on the back deck for hours at a time, well, I could. So much better than the NG channel. The hostess is as exquisite as the property. Enjoy.

Great view

The view is what makes this place nice. The cabin was cozy and nicely decorated. The road noise was a distraction. The hot tub was slimy feeling and foamy so wouldn't use it again which was one of the main reasons I wanted to stay here. The miniature donkeys were cute.

Piece of paradise!

As a couple with grown children and an elderly parent that we take care of in our home, get aways are uncommon so we try to make it worth it...this was definitely worth it!! We only got 2 days but those 2 days were just what we needed. Privacy of the cabin is great! Description of property is 100% correct. We are Jeep people and drive when we are out. Lots of beautiful back roads, river views, etc. just flat out amazing trip!

Loved it!

My wife and I absolutely loved it! The little house was very clean and decorated nicely. It was pretty quiet except for an occasional car passing. The bed was pretty comfortable. There's a well stocked kitchen with all you need for a meal. Living in Dallas, we aren't able to see many stars. There is little light pollution so we could see so many stars and an occasional falling star. Wed lay in the hot tub just staring at the sky. Wonderful trip. My only regret is not seeing the miniature donkeys. Maybe next time😉

Not as expected

Clean and cozy cabin. Hostess kept good communication. Private hot tub was under repair and we were not notified soon enough to cancel and find somewhere else to stay. The hot tub by the owner's home and pool, did not work. Hostess did the best she could with what was. Unfortunately, that didn't change that our dream getaway we saved money for and took time away from our children for, was not as expected. We are lucky to have a romantic couple of days away once a year, and this was it. We paid a lot of money to enjoy a private hot tub and we didn't get that. We made the best of it and enjoyed our time together.

If you need to take your significant other somewhere to impress him or her then this is the place for you. If your not a camper and don't care for a rustic cabin then this is the place for you. If you want to escape by yourself and enjoy the beautiful view while sitting on the porch drinking your coffee and reading your favorite book, then this is the place for you. If you just got married or perhaps celebrating your anniversary this is the place for you. Maybe you just need time to reconnect with one another. A few days of rest and relaxation here will let you recharge. There isn't a better place to do that at!
