We had an amazing time at the cabin! We felt as if we had the whole lake to ourselves. We saw so much wildlife in the area and at the property! Our hosts were really wonderful and kind making sure we had what we needed and a joy to visit with. We enjoyed spending time on their lake and really enjoyed the surrounding area. We would defiantly stay again if we are in the area.

A perfect holiday getaway

  • 5 of 5

Although we didn't get the pleasure to meet the hosts, we were more than satisfied with our stay. The beds were comfortable, the views of the lake and mountains were spectacular, and the kitchen, living room and laundry were well equipped with everything for a pleasant and restful stay, A must-stay if you are visiting the Nelchina area.

Gorgeous apartment with incredible views

  • 5 of 5

This apartment was very comfortable and definitely feels/looks brand new, but there are personal touches and books that make it feel homey. The living area was well furnished and perfect for relaxing at the end of long travel days. The kitchen was very clean and modern, including tons of condiments, coffee, and extras (ps the water is delicious and we appreciated the fridge ice/water). The bathroom was the same - well stocked with anything you may have forgotten, plenty of towels and a clean new space. The bedroom is enormous, as is the bed, and very comfortable with loads of room for luggage and personal items. The washer/dryer is a nice feature we didn't make use of, but would be awesome for longer stays. This apartment is connected to a workshop/garage, but the space itself felt private and quiet. I loved all the windows and natural light, and the views from every room plus the deck were phenomenal!

Roxanne is a very nice host. We arrived very late. Roxanne stayed up late to wait for us. The house is very clean. We would love to stay there again next time visiting Alaska.

We loved going out on the lake and enjoying the wildlife. The resident swans are beautiful! The place was very clean and had everything you need, plus some. It was a little difficult to find because Google Maps would not bring it up, but we figured it out. Would gladly stay again!
