The house was perfect for us two. It had everything we needed in the house, bed was great, towels were soft and clean, location was close to hikes and to town.

I've been vacationing in Acadia for literally my entire life, but this was my first time staying at Summerwood. I could not have imagined a better location and now I know where to go for the perfect trip. The cottage is so comfortable and had everything needed, including a beautiful backyard and a delightful porch to enjoy home-cooked meals outside. Being able to get out into Acadia without a car!! Can you imagine? What a treat it was to walk down to the end of the street and continue on the path to adventure. We were able to walk from the cabin to Sand Beach without a care in the world. One night we walked to the cliff overlook in Blackwoods Campground to watch the full moon dance on the water. And another morning, we headed out the door and walked all the way up Cadillac Mountain and all the way down the other side, if you can believe that! No car! It was easy as pie to catch the bus and do a couple of connections to get back to the cabin - which also gave the perfect excuse for ice cream in Bar Harbor. I can't thank Amanda enough for being such a wonderful host and giving me the opportunity to have the trip I've been wishing to have! Climbing mountains and also having chill time at the cutest, most comfy home base... it doesn't get any better than that!

This adorable cottage was perfect for two. The living area was a good size and we were able to prepare all three meals daily in the kitchen. The location was perfect with a local path to the park loop and ocean. Plenty of walking opportunities in this area if you just want to hang around for the day. Sitting on the porch after a day hiking was a treat. The neighborhood is quiet. Access to Acadia was convenient. We felt we made a great choice to stay in this cottage for our first time there. Amanda answers messages promptly and everything went smoothly. The amazing weather was a bonus. Thanks again for the wonderful stay!

The location was great. We biked alot in Acadia whoch was minutes away. Bar Harbout althoigh close was very crowded . Our host was quick to respond to places to dine outside of Bar Harbour which we truly enjoyed.

Fantastic unbeatable location to explore Acadia and the area. We had everything we needed - everything is provided! The cottage is super cute, you can even spot wild turkeys in the backyard!

Wonderful location as well as being in a quiet location. Host was very helpful and accessible. Quick 10 min drive into Bar Harbor or just hop on the park bus down the street.

A very comfortable, clean, happy place. Close to many attractions; quite at night; and the Otter Creek Market on the corner with it's "to go" lobster dinner was an extra bonus.

If you are looking for the perfect place to stay, this is the place. Not only was this beautiful home clean, it was comfortable, beautifully decorated, and had all the amenities we needed. Located in a quiet neighborhood, we were a quick drive to Acadia and bar harbor. Amanda is an incredible host. I wish there was a way to give a six star rating!

This is was our second time staying at Summerwood Cottage! We love it. The cottage is in a quiet neighborhood in a fantastic location - so close to Bar Harbor & Acadia National Park. The cottage is well equipped and has everything you need for a great stay. It’s clean and well kept. Communication and the check-in process are smooth and easy. We look forward to returning next summer!

Great spot-quiet and walk to Park

Cute, charming little cottage fully equipped and a quick walk to a trail leading into the Park. Great location and quiet street. Had a lovely time there.

Home to our engagement!

We both thought the place was cute, yet roomy enough for the two of us. It is a nice quiet neighborhood. Our third evening we got engaged by the fire pit. Thanks for keeping your place clean and organized.

October Getaway

Summerwood Cottage was the perfect little home for our Autumn Getaway! It is comfy, clean & decorated just adorable. You have everything you need already there, just stop, buy a few groceries & you will be set for a carefrrr vacation. Amanda is the perfect host. She is so kind & has the best personality! I guarantee if you stay here you will love her like we do! Otter Creek had a huge wind storm while we were out hiking in the park. We came home to bottledwater & Amanda checking in on us less than an hour later to make sure we were doing ok. When the power came back on, she returned and did everything she could to get the internet & tv back on. Trust me, you will not go wrong if you stay here. You can sit on the porch swing or deck and see turkeys in the yard morning & evening. Its a beautiful area. We will be back. Amanda is definitely one reason why. and Amanda trying extremely hard to

This was a super cute home.. location was so convenient for Bar Harbor and Acadia. The turkeys visited every AM and PM 😁 Only suggestion would be to have more tissues. Would recommend this place to anyone!

Wonderful getaway for a special birthday

We loved this place. The location was very convenient for hiking. We walked out from the cottage and walked all the way to Thunder Hole and then up Gorhman Mountain. The place had everything we needed. We enjoyed the swing on the front porch and the fire pit. Used the grill our first night and it was perfect. Enjoyed watching the turkeys next door in the mornings. Amanda was very responsive and the flowers in the cottage were a nice touch. I rarely give a 5 star rating so don’t take my 4 star the wrong way. We would definitely stay here again.
