About Magdalena Beall
Photo shows managers: Magdalena and Bruce Beall. Steim and I, the owners of Eagle's Nest, both love the outdoors. That's what brought us both to Bozeman, MT decades ago. Through the years we have hiked, backpacked, skied a lot (downhill, back-country, and cross country), mountain biked thousands of miles, and dirt biked endlessly through the great outdoors. Nothing is a better day than riding through handlebar high wildflowers, into the dense woods next to creeks, and then to the tops of mountains for pristine views.
Magdalena Beall purchased this Cabin in 2015
Why Magdalena Beall chose Island Park
We named our cabin "Eagle's Nest" because we love watching for the big birds wherever we are. Last summer we saw nests in several locations in Island Park and in Yellowstone. Our raised wrap-around deck reminds us of the huge eagle nests we've seen perched in trees or on cliffs high up with their expansive views. We bought the Eagles Nest because of its prime location. Not only are there miles and miles of trails right near the cabin, for both dirt and snow, but it's not too remote. I often forget the eggs or milk and appreciate being able to walk to the grocery store. Having convenient restaurants nearby is nice so we don't have to drive, or cook, after a long day of playing. We love that there are paved (and plowed) roads all the way to our driveway. We have our driveway plowed in the winter and there is plenty of parking space for long snowmobile trailers. There is so much National Park, National Forest, and state land to explore all within minutes of the property. We aren't fishermen but our friends who do fish are quite excited about the location. Being a few miles from Henry's Lake, the Henry's Fork of the Snake River and Big Springs is very nice. Yellowstone Park also has its huge lake trout in Yellowstone Lake. Fishermen can keep as many lake trout as they want, but even one can feed a family!
What makes this Cabin unique
The more we stay at the cabin the more we appreciate the privacy there. We love the lay-out and having friends and family over. The house entertains nicely. Watching sports or movies in HD on the giant 65" screen is a treat for us. We plan to come down and enjoy the cabin this summer because we love the area. It's just so gorgeous and so much fun!

The property worked very well for our group of 8. It had all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. It was a short 20-25 minute drive to the West entrance of Yellowstone. There were many fun activities and places to visit in the immediate area, and the easy access to groceries and gas were very convenient.
I would definitely recommend and stay again!
Beautiful cabin. Plenty of space. Close to ATV rental, golf course & grocery store.
We had a Wonderful Western Week at Eagle's Nest with our family! We came from Minnesota and met our married son & wife from Tampa and our daughter from Wash DC and we packed alot into our week together. We loved Mesa Falls which is very nearby and right in Idaho, enjoyed Yellowstone and hiked the 7-mile hole, Old Faithful and ate dinner at the Snow Lodge in Yellowstone, our son & wife loved fly fishing for a day with a guide and caught many trout. We loved the geyser fields and the convenience of Eagle's Nest for our family to spread out and be comfortable. The owners were very responsive when we couldn't get the fireplaces to turn on. The kitchen included many useful amenities for family meals and we spent two nights at the outdoor firepit after dark with good sharing. The drive to Grand Tetons was a bit far - 2 1/2 hours but we were awed with God's beauty and creation and we LOVED the hike around Jenny Lake for 9 miles as a family and enjoyed an evening meal in Jackson at the Local! We even took in a rodeo one night at West Yellowstone - 20 minute drive away! Saw a moose, bear, elk, bison and otters and LOVED coming home every night to the Eagles' Nest. The Robin's Roost grocery store, Subway, bike rental within walking distance and view of Sawtelle Mountain were all huge positives.
We would highly recommend this home away from home and hope to come back again during other seasons of the year! Thank you so much for everything!
We are so glad you enjoyed your stay! You are right, the location of Eagle's Nest is good for proximity to grocery store, rentals and the park! You are welcome back any time!
Overall we absolutely loved this property! About a 20 minute drive from West Yellowstone where the main hustle and bustle of shopping and entertainment is; along with the West entrance to Yellowstone. We very much enjoyed the mountain view from the deck, the cozy atmosphere of the cabin and great laundry facilities. A few minor items popped up, like black ants, but will be email the owner those issues as they didn't really detour us from our vacation but would like them to be aware.
Thank you for your nice review! We appreciated the feedback about the ants. This can happen in the country during certain times of the year. The problem has been resolved now.
Had what we needed
What attracted me to this property was the size and location. It did not disappoint.
Great home base for exploring
We had a group of 4 adults and 3 under-7s staying here to explore Yellowstone and grand Teton. The drive to the west Yellowstone entrance was 20-30 minutes. It's a good compromise between being close but not too close, too touristy, too tacky. The house itself was wonderful and had all of the necessities, and had fun and appropriate decor. I would happily stay here again
