We are an active family and have lived an traveled all over (three kids born on three continents!). We searched a long time before choosing to settle in Boulder. A decision we will never regret. Boulder is a great town, the perfect place to live an active life style in summer and winter alike
Karin Uhlig purchased this house in 2012
We looked a long time to find a home that we could make our home. It's so bright and cheery and the space is just right. We have friends that visit from all over the world and have comfortably slept 10 in this house for up to three weeks.
The area is relaxed and quiet but convenient to downtown Boulder, Denver and DIA, not too mention all the great outdoor activities for which Boulder is famous.
You will love the fact that deer roam the street and graze in our front yard. The yard behind ours is a favorite hang out for them as well. Many morning I wake to see the deer walking down the street.
The two levels allow for privacy and quiet when needed. When a family comes to visit, the kids will all sleep downstairs and the adults have the upstairs to ourselves.
Very wonderful, would definitely go back, stores were close to get groceries.
This Yellow house was perfect for our trip to Boulder. Perfectly located in a beautiful neighborhood. The beds were comfortable, the rooms were spacious, the bathrooms were hugh! Beautiful outdoor decks. Very comfortable, the whole house is Beautiful!
The family was very easy to get a hold of and responded quickly. Their kindness was felt in their home! This was my 1st time using VRBO and they made it a great experience!
This house was a great place to stay during our time in Boulder. The house has two large living/family rooms that are great areas to hang out with the people I rented the house with. And there were lots of games in the house for entertainment too. The wooden back porch has a large table which was a great way to spend time outdoors even when your day is over. The location is also very close to a nice running trail along a lake next to the mountains and walking distance from a shopping center. All of the rooms (excluding the bunkbed room) were basically larger than a normal hotel room, so everyone I rented the house with had lots of space.
The owners were very nice and helpful whenever we communicated with them and they even helped us reclaim things we left behind. I would definitely recommend this as a place to stay.
We had a great time in Boulder - a quiet residential neighborhood with easy access by car to all of Boulder's attractions. This house fit our needs for grandma/grandpa, our son and his family and the trampoline was an added bonus for our grandson. Only negatives were the lack of a microwave and no top sheets for the beds.
The homeowners are wonderful and the home is absolutely beautiful, it is perfect for a family or a couple families. We came up for our teen daughters softball tournament and it was perfect! The girls loved the cool game room, trampoline, the smart TV to play their videos through. The adults loved the upstairs balcony and refreshing air. Pearl Street is only a couple miles away, Estes Park is a quick drive up the mountain, rafting at Idaho Springs is close enough to the property and for those that like to hike, you can take a walk across Broadway and hike the mountain trails. We will definitely be looking to rent this home next year when we return to Boulder and highly recommend this home. The WiFi went down and the homeowner answered my text immediately to help walk us through the issue to get it back up and running. Also, when we encountered a small problem, the homeowner answered my call immediately and was very comforting. They refunded my deposit very fast - within 2 days of checking out. A couple notes (1) the twin bunk bed is more fitting for younger children - not teenagers, but our girls made it work :-) (2) there is only 2 TV's in the house - 1 in the game room and the other in the guest room, it worked for us as we all had iPads or laptops to watch movies in our rooms at night however it forced us spend quality time with each other and enjoy the surroundings instead of zoned out in front of the TV - it was really nice. We had a great time, played great softball and really enjoyed our time there. Thank you again Karin & Chris for opening up your lovely home to us! And thank you for working your schedule to allow us to come in a day earlier!
Located a minute's walk from the Wonderland Lake Trail head, many outdoor activities await you. The trail head is part Foothills Path system, perfect for biking, running, walking or hiking. The Foothills Playground is a .6 mile stroll from our house. Wonderland Lake is also a sweet fishing spot.
Looking to shop, enjoy a festival in town or have a meal out, Pearl Street Mall is 3.4 miles down the road. There is a bus stop less than a minute from our home.
Chataqua Park, home to the famous Flat Irons, is 5.0 miles away.
Estes Park, gateway to the Rocky Mountain National Park is a beautifully scenic 35 mile drive from our home.
Our home is on a quiet street, situated across from a beautiful lot, home to a few goats. The closest super market is a 10 min. walk from the house.
The Boulder Reservoir is 4.7 miles away. It's a great place to swim, rent SUPs, kayaks or sail boats.
