Nice flat and conveniently located

  • 4 of 5

The flat is a good size, very conveniently located (2 minutes from one Metro station on line 8 and 5 minutes from one on line 5). 5th floor with a lift.

There's a large living/dining room running across the front of the property and a bedroom and small kitchen at the rear. There is fast wifi and a TV (although we never used that). The bathroom has a full-sized bath and handheld shower with curtain. There's a washer/dryer if needed and the lavatory is separate from the bathroom.

Some street noise can be heard in the living room, but the bedroom is quiet.

There is a good-sized Carrefour supermarket 5 minutes walk away and a very nice bakery nearby too.

The owner is pleasant and helpful. Definitely recommended.

Perfect Place to Stay in Paris! I can't wait to come back.

  • 5 of 5

I hardly know where to begin. I was blown away by how wonderful this property was.

The apartment: Incredibly spacious, clean, welcoming, and beautiful. The bed in the bedroom is more comfortable than the one that I have at home and the linens were soft and comfortable. Waking up every morning and seeing the sunrise over Paris is the perfect way to start your day. The living room has a VERY comfortable sofa with a sofa bed. My friend slept on that she said that it was extremely comfortable and that is rare for a sofa bed. The dining area is set up perfectly and it stocked with plates and glasses and there is a LOT of light. The terrace has two chairs and is the perfect place to have coffee in the morning and wine in the evening. The elevator takes you straight up to the flat and the building is very safe and secure. The kitchen is small but we weren't cooking or eating meals there so it didn't matter. Even if we were, for 2-4 people it would be fine if you were cooking. The shower is in a separate room from the toilet and it is a great set up. The shower room is spacious and there is a washer/dryer combo there. The shower pressure is great.

Check In/Out: This was incredibly easy. We texted when we were leaving the airport and again when we were close to the apartment and we were greeted at arrival. The hosts were welcoming and lovely and answered all of our questions, as well as showing us around the apartment. The one question we had during our stay was minor (we couldn't figure out how to turn on the tv!) and was answered immediately. A+

Location: couldn't have been better. The neighborhood is lovely and there is a metro across the street, and two others very close so getting anywhere in the city was not a problem. There was a cafe across the street that had fresh and warm croissants and coffee and we stopped there every morning. One of the hottest restaurants in Paris, Clown Bar, is right next store. There are a ton of cute shops surrounding the apartment as well as Cafes. Cafe Republique is just a quick walk and is a great spot for lunch. We went there twice.

You can't go wrong with staying in the apartment and I will definitely be scheduling my next trip around its availability. The place made my trip even more wonderful than I expected.

Rue Amelot tres magnifique!

  • 5 of 5

The apartment was perfect! Roomy and comfortable; even though it's close to a main street the apartment was quiet. We actually got such good sleep it was hard to get out of bed the first week we arrived. The bed is deeply comfortable and the apartment is clean and well maintained. The weather was quite cold during our stay but the apartment is a warm cozy retreat.

The Metro station is just steps away and we use the metro to roam all over Paris. WIFI and free calling back to the US was a wonderful perk! The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare our own meals. Great little Carrefour grocery also just steps away as well as bakeries and little shops. The washer/dryer combo is extremely convenient if staying for an extended period of time. The elevator/lift was a bonus. After walking all day to be able to take the lift up to the fourth floor was great!

Having a tub is very important and this apartment comes with that essential component. After long days of walking I encourage all to visit LUSH to pick up bath bombs and bubble bars and have a good soak.

Olivier is very responsive to all emails and made the reservation process easy. Merci beaucoup Olivier! We have already enthusiastically recommended this apartment to friends. We loved the apartment so much that we booked it again for December 2017-January 2018. We are so looking forward to our return.

Places to go:

Le tour Eiffel – go to the top and drink champagne!!

Versailles – an all day excursion

Notre Dame – amazing!

Louvre – need a few days

Places to eat:

Au petit Versailles du Marais, 1 rue Francois Tiron – one of our favorite boulangerie-patisserie. Has amazing quiche, eclairs, croissants, and pastries!

Crepe stands – our favorite is in the Saint Germaine area a few shops down from Amorino (below).

Amorino, 16 rue de la Huchette – the most fabulous sipping chocolate and gelato!

Le Cure Gourmande, 55 Rue Saint Louis en I’lle – unbelievable cookies-chocolate hazelnut filled butter cookies are the best

Maison Georges Larnicol, 132 Boulevard Saint-Germain – favorite chocolate shop.

Shopping:

BHV Marais, 52 Rue de Rivoli – in the Marais

Shop the Marais district – great little shops and fun places to eat abound!

Ile de la Cite – one of the “island” areas in the Seine

Marche aux Puces de Paris St-Ouen, Port de Clignancourt, 18th arrond. Claims to be largest antiques market in the world. Make sure you go to the correct place. There is a “swap meet” set up about a block away

Comfortable, sunny apartment

  • 4 of 5

Spent a month in the apartment which is sunny and in a great location-close to key subway stops and walkable areas. Just 5 min from our favorite street-Rue de Bretagne. Being in an elevator building was great as this apt is on the top floor. Small but very functional kitchen; comfortable bedroom. Olivier was extremely responsive the few times we had to contact him with questions and his suggested restaurants and boulangerie were top notch. Only caution is that there were 2-3 times over the month that the bar downstairs was noisy late at night and that the balcony is very small. Overall, very comfortable for a month's stay.

Great location in Paris

  • 5 of 5

We loved our spacious, well-stocked and located apartment. We could walk to a supermarket, a metro station or a restaurant in minutes. The elevator was essential, as was the washer, and we looked forward to returning to a very convenient "home" after a busy day in Paris. Check-in was easy, as was the transfer to and from the airport. We would definitely stay here again.
