Aspectos positivos: Llegada
Our host let us check in early which we very much appreciated. However, the apartment was not luxurious, as listed. It was freezing upon our arrival and took 2 days before it was comfortable. The curtains, sofa and bed linens were all dingy. The pillows were not comfortable. The towels seemed cheap and there was one hand towel and 3 bath towels for 7 nights for 2 people. There was NO hand soap nor body soap or shampoo in the bathroom. Everywhere I’ve ever rented has always provided those basic amenities. We had to go buy soaps immediately. The worst part was the bed. There was a terrible squeaking noise on my husband’s side that made sleeping almost impossible for us. We were so tired the first night, that we managed to sleep but the second night he moved to the couch and the third night we started sleeping on the hard foldout together. I communicated this to our host and requested a refund for our last 2 nights because we were not sleeping well and it was affecting our trip overall. We started looking for hotels which of course, would be an unexpected big expense. She did offer to come by and check it out, but did not do so even after I confirmed that she could. She also called it a “slight” squeak which it was not! It was awful. She would not agree to a refund request for the last two nights. We were very disappointed that she didn’t seem very concerned about our desire to move to a hotel. That’s a big deal when you’ve paid and planned a budget for a special trip.
