Why Bettina Steiger chose Villas
I choose this property because it was close to the water, had the perfect view to Sun sets, has a big ground and it fits my budget. Ultimately I would love to own a piece of property on the Beach side too. Being a pet owner it was important that my dogs would enjoy the grounds as much as I do. It is an area that has not been discovered by many people yet and nature seems to be as natural as it can be without all the crowd that the beach side attracts.
What makes this House unique
The benefit of owning this property is that it rents well, because off the short distance to the Bay. You can take the Kayak out and watch sea life and sunsets unfold peacefully right in front of your eyes. The Bay it’s a safer setting without large waves and rip currents. It is free and amazing each time you come to the beach. Walking with your husband, family or your dog is another BIG reason why this is a great property. Migration of horseshoe crabs in May is amazing and very educational for young kids and grown ups too. On Clear nights you can see the State of Delaware.

Cape May Sunsets
Had a great week here. Home is clean, comfortable and roomy. It is steps away from the beach with spectacular sunsets. It is close to wineries, zoo, breweries, restaurants/bars, historical sites and shopping. You couldn’t have a bad time if you tried.
So close to perfection!
My family had a great time at this rental! The best sunsets are on the bay! The neighborhood is quiet and very friendly people that talked to us. The Villas offer many great places to dine and experience the “shore” with out all the hustle and bustle. Property is nicely maintained and mostly updated inside. The outside shrubbery could use some pruning and the TV channel selection is severely lacking, no ESPN or any kids channels but having WiFi a big plus! And being pet friendly was a plus for our fur-baby to join us.
Nick, thank you for submitting this review. It is helpful to hear what my guests are saying about my property. It helps me to see where I need to make improvements. I will make sure the TV chanels will be broader to future guests. Thank you again for booking with us.
The owner was great to deal with and very responsive. The house is on a large (for the area) fenced in yard and the trees block out the view of the street which is nice. The free beach (bayside) is 1 house away and a short 1 minute walk. Cape May and Wildwood are each a 15 - 20 minute drive. There are a few small grocery stores in the area and a large Walmart 10 minutes drive away. We enjoyed walking on the beach, using the kayak, and going into Cape May for shopping and some more beach time. The Cape May City beach is very large and clean, and cost $6 per person for a day tag and you can rent umbrellas and chairs if you like. Sand spurs/ burs are a very common weed found in the grass around sandy locations so keep a close eye on pets and small children to make sure nothing is stuck to them if they play outside as the burs are very sharp like little balls of needles and not always easy to remove from dog hair.
Ron, thank you for your review. I appreciate the feedback. I will work on putting a yard sign to help remind all guests to be aware of the burs. I have a tweezers in the property that helps remove them better.
Thanks again for staying with us.
Quiet, relaxing getaway
Bettina's property is so close to the shore access in a quiet neighborhood that the beach was like our private retreat. Her home is comfy, clean and provides everything you need for a care free vacation!
Thank you Jeri. I appreciate you staying with us. I am glad we were a part of your summer vacation.
I hope to see you soon.
Home was clean with a few items which could use some maintenance. When we arrive it was our responsibility to take out the previous tenants garbage and recycling ?? Grill was dirty and smelled like fish. We did call the owner who was more than willing to come and clean it. Second bathroom could not use the shower . The shower head would make water flow outside the shower stall and onto the floor. Yard was very large and shower outside was a nice touch when returning from the beach. The beach does have beautiful sunsets and is very private. Neighborhood is very quiet with little to no traffic. If you are looking for peace and quiet this is right up your ally. Would recommend the home for rental if the some maintenance was done, mostly with the shower head.
Thank you for taking the time to review my property. Bringing the trash couple feet to the curb on a Sunday evening is a routine that each guest will have to do, in order for the trash to be picked up. I am sorry that this was an inconvenience. Upon arrival I had mentioned in the e-mail and in person to call if there are any issues, so they can be solved immediately. The outside grill was an oversight and was handled the next day. The issue with the shower head would have been addressed immediately if we would have word of any overflow. Most likely the shower head was not positioned down and caused the water to go over the glass door. Despite the small issues, I hope you enjoyed yourself and thank you for booking with us.
Great Vacation Home
I especially enjoyed staying so near the beach at Villas. Three years ago we sold a house that still stands on Village Road. My husband and I had it built on a raw piece of land in 1986 and we had many years of enjoyment there. Your home helped me visit a place I truly enjoyed. Many years ago, as a music teacher, I worked in Cape May County Elementary Schools and as music
director at the Villas Episcopal Church. We were married there in 1962. Villas is always special to me.
Alice, thank you for sharing your amazing story. I am honored to provide you my home to revisit your exiting past. Great memories are created in this homes and shared with so many guests. Thank you again for booking with us. I look forward seeing you again.
