Beautiful beach house!
Thank you for sharing your beautiful home, everything was as pictured, very bright and airy with an amazing view! It was great to see a variety of wildlife, a family of deer in the yard and on the beach! Loved exploring the beach at low tide. The local fresh seafood of course was amazing, we purchased and cooked lobster a few times. At the house you can relax and unwind in complete privacy, Tatamagouche is a short drive where there are some shops, restaurants, farmers market, one night had live music at the Tatamagouche Brewing Co. There are also a few wineries in the area, we went to Jost Vineyards and rented bikes to tour around. House was very well stocked with anything we could need. We were there in June and it was a bit on the cool side, we used the wood burning fireplace to take off the chill. Trevor was good with getting back to us quickly to answer questions and provide support when anything arose. Our only suggestion for improvement is cleaning up around the shed area there was some wood and other things that needed to be cleaned up. Thanks for the awesome family vacation!
Exquisite and Modern with Excellent Views and Amenities
This home won't disappoint, whether you are looking for a family retreat or a romantic getaway. Beautifully situated on a private lot with ocean access and views, our family, including two young children, wanted for nothing at this gorgeous home away from home. We spent a great deal of time outdoors, playing on the shores of Tatamagouche Bay, relaxing on comfortable and plentiful outdoor furnishings, grilling and eating the local lobster bought right off the boat from local fishermen. We even spotted a seal sunbathing on a rock in the bay!
The home is off the beaten path, however perfectly located for several easy day trip excursions (PEI, Halifax, Lunenburg). Our favorite days were the ones where we just laid low, drank some wine, cooked some food in the well equipped kitchen, listened to music over the speakers in every room (and outside), watched the kids play, and relaxed by the fireplace in the evenings. Writing this review makes me want to go back.
This place is straight out of a Better Homes and Garden magazine. The house is simply outstanding and is located in a very private setting with gorgeous views from just about every part of the house.
It had everything you could possibly need to enjoy your stay - outdoor grill, towels, wifi, canoe, bocce ball, anything you could possibly need in the kitchen, etc.
While the house is in a somewhat remote location, it's less than 2 hours from PEI and Halifax and while we visited both during our stay, the best part of the trip was hanging out at the house.
The beach was a short walk from the back deck and it was absolutely beautiful. We saw a couple people from a distance one day and that was it. Otherwise, we had this enormous beach all to ourselves. I think the property description stated that the waters were the warmest north of the Carolina's and I didn't believe that for a second (and I've been to OBX) but it was absolutely true! We had a great time exploring the shoreline, tide pools, and sitting by the fire at night.
If you're looking for a private getaway in a very laid back and relaxing atmosphere, I would highly recommend this place to anyone!
This home is absolutely stunning. The decor is perfection, inspiring relaxation and serenity. There are water views from almost every room. Leave the windows open and fall asleep peacefully to the sound of the waves and a gentle breeze. Wake up rested to a beautiful sunrise without stepping foot from your bed.
The outdoor shower and sound system was a special treat, along with a nearby beach and amazing winery. Enjoy ice cream, nature trails and watch the boat makers in the nearby town of Tatamagouche.
This home was centrally located for a day trip to PEI, the Lavendar Farm in Seafoam and sightseeing at the wharf in Pictou.
Eye candy indeed, it would be hard to find another beachfront home as immaculately styled. A living fantasy out of a decor magazine.
There is also a $200 cleaning fee for all stays.
