The house was very clean and cozy and a nice home base for visiting the local wineries. We visited during a very cold weekend after a snow storm and Rachelle and Don did a great job preparing the property for us and giving us a heads up about the road conditions in advance. It’s a lovely property with lots of privacy and beautiful scenery.

We had a wonderful girls weekend at Beavers Hill! The hot tub was great and the place was immaculately clean. The hosts were very responsive to communications and provided lots of information about the property and things to do in the area. Would definitely return!

This was our second stay at Beavers Hill. We love the location and how quiet and relaxing Blue Mountain is. The cabin is well-appointed and very comfortable. The fireplace is perfect, and it is the perfect place to kick back and relax.

The comfort of the cabin was great! Everything was clean and in working order. Well stocked with pots, pans, dishes and utensils. A couple more dish towels and some hand soap would have been nice. Overall a great mountain retreat!!

Great communication with host. House as advertised and was EXCELLENT. Super clean. Great space for 4 to 5 adults or a family of 6. Hot tub was excellent, and both porches were fantastic. The roads to the house get "narrow" and when it is dark, it is DARK. Best if you arrive before dark if possible. Once you are there enjoy the solitude. Really great stay!!!

All was good except we had no sugar packets to make tea and did not think to bring coffee. Brought K-cups though!Lovely experience and we would like to come back.Thank you for all you did.One other little problem was we did not see the 153.Could it be lit or use reflective paint on the numbers?Thanks again!Lovely!

We had a wonderful time at Beavers Hill Cottage! Rachelle and Don made it super easy to get all the info we needed and were super responsive. We brought our dog, Riley, who loved the outdoor spaces (no fence so we used a long lead). The hot tub was a huge plus and easy to use. The deck was enjoyable, the perfect to watch the sunset and have dinner.

The house was very nice and in a deep forest. Most ads would probably say secluded instead of isolated. For us, we picked this place for exactly that reason but be forewarned if you expect to be able to run to the store because you forgot something, you will be in store for quite a drive. Ther were plenty of utensils, pans, etc.for cooking and a nice looking BBQ on the deck but we did not use it. The TV was a streaming device so no OTA reception but no problem for as it accepted our subscriptions. The wifi was fine but we had no cell reception. The hot tub was great and we took advantage of that amenity. The driveway was steep as the owners said in their description but we did walk up it and the road numerous times although it would be a hinder for some so not necessarily a walkable place. We used it as a base for some Civil War sites and, of course, Skyline Drive and the Shenandoah Valley National Park. We enjoyed our stay.

This was a wonderful house to stay in for a long weekend. All the appliances and kitchen items are quality. The bedrooms are spacious and the hot tub was amazing after days of hiking. Also the Roku TV was very easy to log on to. We will definitely plan to visit there again.

It was a nice relaxing get away with all of the essentials needed. The privacy and quiet was a major plus given that we’re from the city. The hot tub was a major selling point and a nice way to wind down after our adventures during the day.

Summer Mountain Trip 2025

Four friends spent a long weekend visiting wineries and Shenandoah Valley towns. Beavers Hill cottage was exactly what we needed for our home base. It was very clean and comfortable. Although we did not do much cooking, the kitchen had everything we needed. We had a lovely weekend, but up in the mountains it was foggy and damp, so we did not get to enjoy the deck as much as we hoped. Maybe next time.

Perfect getaway

Beavers Hill cottage was the perfect spot to escape to the woods with dogs and friends. The house was immaculate, well appointed (though, not fussy), and the hosts were very accommodating. Would highly recommend.

Cabin in the woods

Wonderfull quiet private location surrounded by trees. Well maintained and comfortable cottage which is well stocked. Thirty minutes to Skyline drive and 30 minutes to Sky Meadows state park. Great place for couple or family.

Quiet slice of serenity

A beautiful home tucked away in the mountains surrounded by wildlife. We loved waking up with coffee on the porch and winding down at night in the hot tub. Highly recommend!

RELAXING- and so beautiful.

We had the most wonderful time staying at Beaver Hill! We visited Shenandoah for the first time last year and instantly fell in love, and had been planning a trip back ever since. Found Beaver Hill Cottage on a whim and now we’re planning a trip back to stay as well! So peaceful and quiet, and Rachelle and Don’s attention to detail made relaxing on our trip so easy.

Quiet and Peaceful

Perfect getaway for this hiking family. My college age kids just finished for the year so we took a mini hiking vacation before summer jobs start. Don and Rachel's communication was top notch. A storm took out the power and within 4 minutes we received a message from them with an ETA of restored power plus some back lighting and water. The unit itself was wonderful, comfortable and clean.
