Whiskey Hill Cabin a Mountain escape in Virginia Wine country.

Whiskey Hill Cabin is based on a classic design from the 1960’s which makes it a unique place to enjoy your vacation! The cabin is a fully renovated chalet style cabin with many modern updates. Some of the updates include a new fireplace wood stove for guest use, pine and cedar ceilings, a new bathroom and honed granite countertops. All of these updates to this classic cabin help make your vacation more relaxing and enjoyable.

Some of the highlights include: Self Check in with your own custom lock code, Gas fire pit table, Real wood fireplace. High Speed internet/Wifi.

There are 2 bedrooms and a large loft bedroom (queen beds in each).
The cabin has a large deck that is perfect for enjoying the nature of the mountain. Since the cabin was designed in the 1960’s the interior steps were not designed with today’s standards, but we love the classic design so we decided to keep it original. We ask that you please keep in mind that the interior loft stairs are not suitable for children. We appreciate your understanding.

The cabin is in Virginia wine country. It is close to 10+ Virginia wineries including Fox Meadow Winery (3.4 mi) and Crimson Lane Vineyards (7.9 mi), Skyline drive and the Appalachian Trail (GR Thompson State Wildlife Management area is about 5 minutes away; famous for trillium flowers). Enjoy the areas many activities including: hiking, canoeing, horse back riding, wine tasting and the natural surroundings.

The cabin is located in the Blue Ridge Mountains and is set on a private wooded mountain lot with winter views of the Shenandoah Valley and mountain ranges. During your stay you will enjoy the peaceful quiet of the mountains, local wildlife, amazing sunsets and bright starry nights. Near Front Royal, VA it is an easy 1 hour drive to and from the DC metro area.

Our price is for 4 guests maximum. We charge more for Holidays and Holiday weekends.

A welcome gift and starter pack of essentials such as paper towels, toilet paper and soaps, etc. are provided for your stay. Any extra supplies will need to be purchased by guests.

*There is a security camera on the exterior of the cabin facing the driveway to assess the weather conditions of our driveway and for security purposes.

Our entire experience with this rental was exceptional. The owners, Rachelle & Don, messaged me several times prior to our stay with all the information we’d need for our stay. Their suggestions and recommendations were great and we enjoyed the wineries we visited. The cabin was perfect for our girls getaway. The beds were comfy, the family room was comfortable, and the kitchen had everything we needed. We would highly recommend this cabin and would love to visit again. Five star review all-around!!

We had a wonderful stay at Whiskey Hill Cabin, which was close to all the things we wanted to see including wineries, Skyline Drive, fall leaf viewing in Shenandoah National Park, and the nearby historic towns of Front Royal and Winchester. The cabin itself was cozy, immaculate, and well appointed. The owners did a great job of communicating and it made for an easy arrival and stay. Highlights for us included building fires in the wood burning stove, which was better than a fireplace, bring visited by two curious does, and just the wonderful serenity of the place nestled on the mountainside overlooking the beautiful Shenandoah River valley.

Fantastic comfortable cabin in the woods ! Everything we could have needed and more . Very comfortable beds , very clean and beautifully decorated. We enjoyed quiet mornings on the deck , loved loved Fox Meadows winery - just a few miles from the cabin . The owners were very responsive and gave great suggestions for things to do and places to eat and drink . We enjoyed hiking in Shenandoah during the day , winery in afternoon after a hike and quiet evening on the cabin. Highly recommend !!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Whiskey Hill Cabin! The location was so peaceful and quiet and the cabin was beautiful and very comfortable. It's located in a very beautiful part of Virginia. We were able to visit an apple orchard and a winery and a distillery! We would definitely love to stay there again. Thank you so much for your hospitality!

We loved our stay in the forest, it's nice that there are other houses around but at the same time it feels completely secluded. The cabin is gorgeous and we loved hanging out on the porch! The sheets were super soft, water pressure was good, everything was super clean and well taken care of.Some tiny suggestions for improvement that would level up the experience to 6 stars if that was an option: upgrade the 1 ply cheap toiletpaper, add nice pump soap instead of a packaged bar, add one tide pod for a quick laundryThis didn't make our experience any less but would be that little extra cherry on the cake. Great cabin either way!

A really nice two day getaway. The Appalachian Trail is easily accessed from the top of Rocky Spring Rd. Directions were excellent; cabin was cleaned and everything well labeled for visitors.

We had an incredible time!The cabin was amazing! It was honestly better than what the pictures even showed! And communication with the owners was great! My husband and I plan on going back very soon! To be honest, my husband and I could just live there!It was super quiet! The cabin is well taken care of and was super clean! You could tell the owners value their cabin and made everything super easy for us! Beautiful place! We would recommend it to anyone looking for a getaway!!!

Perfect get away from it all

What a fantastic place to get away from it all! All the basics were there and in great condition. The cabin is well maintained and is very easy to relax in because it is not cluttered or filled to the brim with "stuff". The neighborhood is quiet, and the drive to Linden or Front Royal is short. However, the house is so nice that leaving is hard!

The property was clean, quaint, and relaxing for our girls weekend getaway. We enjoyed the peace of the cabin, wildlife, and seclusion it offered. The drive to Shenandoah national park was very quick and the views amazing!

A Quiet Couples V-Day & B-day Get-A-Way!

Overall rating & experience 4.5/5 Stars. Great owners who communicated very well and timely.This precious cabin is tucked in the Shenandoah mountains & is very quiet, clean and such a lovely place located by great local wineries and eateries with beautiful scenery & mountain views, The wood-burning stove was an added bonus. We all are very happy with our experience and time here(3 nights). This cabin is also very well furnished, new, very clean, and has all the necessities.We highly recommend it and it fits four people perfectly. :)
