I am a bit of a skeptic. When we booked this property, I was wondering if the pictures were doctored or if the house was older than it looked on their website. My husband and I along with our children and grandchildren booked this property for two weeks over the Christmas/New Year holiday. When we first walked in, I was taken aback by the view. What we saw was the pictures posted on the website, but more breathtaking when seen in real life. We were welcomed by the manager and staff. When you first walk in there is the spacious kitchen with a huge island, plenty of room for several people to work in. The dining room to the left sits at least 8 people. Into the living area, there is plenty of room to lounge around. The patio doors open up to the infinity pool and another lounge area. The pool seemed a bit small at first, but you soon get over that when you see the view. The property is next to the Marina Chahue and you see boats passing by, the locals are very friendly and wave at you all the time. We had a Canadian flag flying at the property during our stay. On January 1st, 2017 several boats going by would yell at us "Happy 150th Birthday Canada". The house has four bedrooms with each their own bathroom. (A must in my eyes) There is also a bathroom and shower by the pool. The two master bedrooms have an adjoining deck. There is also an upper-level deck facing the pool and marina. The best part and the envy, I am sure, of all the other property rentals, is the gem of a housekeeper Ana-Maria. From giving us ideas where to buy things like groceries, getting us taxis, etc. If she saw me trying to rinse of wash dishes, she would wave me away and remind me that I was on vacation. We asked about the flowers and trees outside and she showed and explained everything to us. She cooked us an authentic Mexican meal (at an extra cost - but very minimal - less than it would cost you to go out). Very friendly small town feel, we would get into a taxi and ask the driver's name and give them our names. My nephew Jean-Louis (Juan-Luis), as he called himself along with my son Richard (Ricardo), had a blast with this. They invited one of the taxi drivers in for a bottle of water and the driver stayed for over an hour. On his suggestion, we did the waterfalls the next day, one of the highlights of our trip. If I had anything negative to say, it was that they needed a new coffee pot and that the WiFi didn't work for 5 of the 16 days we were there.
